Thomas, sounds like the local wildlife has been spreading the word about your place....as long as the BIG critters stay away:eek:
..........................................
Were lucky enough so far swamp donkeys...moose... haven't heard the word.

57 degrees now, it was 32 this time last night, 1.11” of rain between 1 and 7 , 40 mph gusts.

I’m going to try the sweet potatoes and apple with pineapple, always up for something new. Frankly
, my favorite sweet potatoes are baked in the peel, add butter and mash it up a bit. Simple and flavorful without the sugar.

32° and raining. Time to take the boys to the airport. So far it's not ice.
Rain has stopped, and 35° when we got home. Creeks are flooding, we got a lot of rain today.

Snowing right now. It is supposed to change to rain in the morning and then Sunday night change back to snow. That will carry on until Tuesday evening.
I gotta take the dog to the vet for 10 A.M. on Wednesday morning, so if it snows lots, I will be out plowing at 6 A.M.

Good evening all. 44F this morning, Partly cloudy skies, and calm wind. Sky remained clear to partly cloudy, wind picked up almost to yesterdays level, and high temp of 74F. Today's bike ride was 43 miles, was going to work on lights but wind was a bit much again. Did get the package from USPS, after they tried to deliver to wrong side of lake :( and now have new time temp station deployed. As part of the start up, the station correct the remote temp sensor to the inside temp sensor :)
Happy Birthday David :drink:
RNG, hope you got the call!!
Drew, hope you get your car fixed, talk with them about the cruise control, there might be some adjustments or if enough people complain changes made to how the cruise works.
Never met a sweet potato I did not like, would rather have the sweeter recipes on special occasions.
I am a bit of miles addict, but 2 of the three guys I rode with extended their rides to hit 45 and 50 miles ;)
prayers for all.

12 right now...how today in the mid-30's. Foul weather coming in late this afternoon...freezing rain and a couple tenths (of an inch) of ice.

Quick dump run (if the dump is open) will be the primary chore today...

66°F and .37 inches rain.
I’ve now completed 72 trips around the sun and start another today. Had I known maybe I’d have taken a bit better care of the ship
Have to make a quick trip into town for a good dessert to take to dinner invite tonight Otherwise no big plans.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Happy birthday David!

Good morning all. Again we look to be having some kind weather for the end of November, must get out and make the most of it.

Yesterday I trimmed back the hedge I laid last winter. It is a mixed species hedge, the hawthorn hadn't put on that much growth, unlike the cherry, field maple and hazel, which had all thrown up lots of new shoots. Having been impressed with EGO's chainsaw, I had bought one of their hedge trimmers, half expecting it to have insufficient capacity for my needs, in the knowledge I could swap it for the Tanaka 2 stroke that has spent the summer with my son. Again, as with the battery chainsaw, it sounds more like a child's toy when it is turned on, yet it had no trouble cutting down the finger width stems. The battery managed to run for well over a hundred yards before needing to be swapped over and all without a single pull on a starter cord.

The end of an era can be filled with sadness, but the demise of the 2-stroke engine can't happen soon enough for me - my usually aching right arm has never been happier.

32 with a high of 39F. Wind E 8 mph. Raining right now with fog patches

Went to the dump yesterday and scored me a couple of those round thingys for hanging up your towels in the bathroom.

The stray came back yesterday for 4 meals. I set up a box with a blanket in the shelter logic shed I keep the Dodge in, way back in a well protected corner.
I don't think this cat was born feral. I think it was in a cottagers' house somewhere and got locked out.

I have no plans on going anywhere today. The driveway will be too soft anyway. Another conserve energy day.

Have a good day all

Morning all. 37 here with rain in the air. Looks like a wet but warmer week for us. Been up since 2:30 with pain in my big toe. Hurts like crazy!
My wife says thanks for all the birthday wishes. She enjoyed a relaxing day at home followed by a small party and a dozen roses from me.

Good morning all.
45 going up to 59 today, should be dry
Other than blowing leaves this afternoon, not much planned.

I have a trailer load of mulch hay I need to get unloaded, waiting for fireman neighbor to help, I can't
lift those bales without wrecking my back and other parts.
Going to stack them on wood pallets, carefully tarp, and then wait for April.
Have 20 bales, think I might go back for another 20.
I saw "good" hay advertised for 5 dollars a bale up in VA. Cost 7 here, likely half that someplace else.
Mine is Coastal Bermuda hay, very few seeds. I hope...

Mostly, your bicycling is an inspiration, you must be in wonderful physical shape.

36 and most of our fog has gone away, too. Should see the week's high today at 56.

Got over an inch of rain yesterday on top of soft ground, so tractor hasn't been out of the barn in over a month.

Happy Birthday, David! I think you're doing a fine job taking care of the ship, and your property as well.

Eric, glad to hear good things about your battery tools. I've only tried the Echo string trimmer, and am pleased.

Looking4, nice that you are taking care of that stray.

Today is the 40th anniversary of my wife and I saying "I do." So glad I found her.

Go home RNG! :)
