Good morning! 55˚ heading to 76˚ as the clouds leave this afternoon. Tonight they light the square for Ed's Anniversary, so we will have to attend. Need to take the Whip for a walk and see the decorations going up.

Weird Texas weather, ain't it, Don. My low this morning was also 55 and forecast to go to 72. Well, it made 72 before noon so I should get to 76 as your forecast says. We had pretty heavy clouds early this morning, but they cleared out. So I mowed, edged, and trimmed the yard this morning, using the bagger since we have quite a few leaves on the ground.

And then to keep my wife happy, I got all her Christmas decorations down from overhead in the shop before getting a shower.

And with the help from you and Ron, I tried my Spectrum claimed 200 Mbps speed with the cable hooked up. Sure enough, had to turn off the wi-fi for the Ethernet connection to work. So . . . according to Spectrum's own speed test, I got 73.37 download ad 14.55 upload this morning, unhooked the cable, had to turn on the wi-fi on again and got 45.57 download and 11.83 upload. So I guess you could say this new modem gets me a little faster speed, but nowhere near Spectrum's claim.

easy drive home and not enough leaves down to go blow them so I think a nap is in order.
Congrats Ed.
It's always good to be home.

cruise control on new Audi was possessed, disconnected cruise thirty times at least, not safe at all in heavy traffic when on adaptive cruise
and your car slows down dramatically with someone marginally tailgating behind you. Sometimes it would drag me down to the speed limit and hold there, and sometimes it would just disconnect. Learning to live with an AI...this one appears on a drunken holiday.
Car goes into shop next week for that and strange clunking noise in right front. Probably should have waited until this model was in its second year, less glitches perhaps.

Need to find the original pen and ink drawing for my avatar, and red and silver magic markers. Silver for roof and wheels. Instant Massey :dance1:
My BIL suggested that route, didn't seem interested in redoing it for a larger tractor. Those front tires will look so wimpy from now on.
We'll have to use our imagination...;)

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 11:15AM here in Chico, CA. Windy with periods of rain. High 56F. Winds SE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch. Localized flooding in recent burn areas.

Hope those of you with snow are at least getting along with it, if not outright enjoying it. Kind of a love/hate thing with me...

Sounds like you all had delicious Thanksgiving day meals, the ham here was good and the dressing even better. Interesting conversation as well; one man ran a pro sound system business doing everything from million dollar weddings to super star rockers. Oh the tales he told...

Thought I'd to a little Black Friday shopping for a car alarm, but the Viper system that seems best requires pro installation.:confused2:

Still no news on lifting the evac orders, probably waiting for the weather to clear before letting anyone else back in.

TGIF gang!:drink:

Had a new to me dish, Ellen made baked sweet potatoes and apples, very good combo.
Happy anniversary to the Ed’s and birthday to Mrs Mpham.

I also need to change my avatar. I Know what it is going to be so next week (if I can figure it out after I take a pic) expect a change to one of my grandpa's horse drawn implements which we still have.

Randy the apple sweet potato dish sounds very vegan adaptable. Will Ellen share her recipe?

Sweet potatoes were missing from our menu yesterday. Strange. Wife noticed they were missing from original list of who was bringing what and suggested she might do some. Of course, I said no, someone would bring. Nope.
Seems I made same mistake with pumpkin pie last year. Next year, I’ll try to be more supportive
A bit strange in that lately we probably eaten more sweet Potato than white.

Not that I had any room to stuff anything else.

Our meal was not traditional this year. Lasagna, stuffing, stuffed mushrooms and other side dishes. Our neighbors are Italian from the old country. My wife is third generation Italian. She was all smiles with the meal. Me too.

Don, the recipe is half sweet potatoes, half apples, about 5 lb total, cut in quarters, brown sugar 1/2 cup, 1/2 cup sugar free pancake syrup, stick of butter and cinnamon to taste. Cook on low in croc pot 4-6 hours until desired tenderness.

If you ain't careful, you might get as forgetful as me. I made the devilled eggs for yesterday; something my son-in-law and I have always liked, then forgot to take them out of the refrigerator when we sat down to eat. I remembered then AFTER we were through eating.

My daughter made them for us and we also forgot until late in the meal, I ate some anyway!

Thanks guys, was a great day. Did not do anything special, just a special day together.

Randy and Don, wife does the same thing but adds a can of crushed pineapple. I love it.

Happy birthday Mrs. Mpham.

Have a great night, prayers sent. Ed

Back home from the valley.
Easy drive tonight.

"Had another thanksgiving dinner that couldn't be beat" before we left. Brought home leftovers.

Good morning all, 25 going to 38 and partly sunny, 70% chance of a wintery mix tonight. Hope it is not an instant replay of last time. Today wife and I celebrate 20 years of marriage. In some ways it seems like yesterday, and in others it seems like 100 years. :) I am blessed.

Have a great day, prayers sent. Ed

Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Ed.

Getting ready for work. Drank my 2 cups of coffee. Looks like it is a 0 degree start of the morning with a high only in the 20’s. Need to dress warm for the day. Wife’s birthday today. Will pick up some flowers and a card. Having a small get together with family tonight. Left overs and cake... yummy!

Happy Birthday Mrs. mpham. Hope you had a good one.

mostly, I am impressed with your 20 mile bike rides. Hope you enjoyed it. It was a beautiful day here.

I took the kids for a gator ride this evening. We buzzed around for about half an hour.

Listening to our high school football team's playoff game. So far 0-0 game with 2 strong defenses.

Watched a bit of college ball today. Also tested my eye lids for leaks for maybe an hour.

Got my trailer lights replaced and re-wired. Couldn't tell if the old wires had been scraped or chewed, but a bare spot was blowing the fuse.

Youngest is watching When the Grinch stole Christmas.

Happy anniversary an happy birthday to all who are celebrating them.

To have a foot of snow this early in the season is unusual. I will post vids as the winter progresses.
I remember in Toronto one winter we were on 'snow removal' in February. I had a 450 John Deere dozer I used for a sidewalk plow. No street pads, but the grousers were pretty well worn off. No cab, winter coveralls, skidoo boots and mitts. I was a lot younger then (1980) and could take the cold better.

Not much in Toronto right now, but we had record cold temperatures last night.
