No hat, no t shirt, no coat....But I did have a bumper sticker. It left the property when I sold my old suburban. I believe I got it at Bird's birthday party years back.
Forgot about the bumper stickers. I have 2 of them. After reading the "HF tools that do not suck" thread. I need to get them put on my tool boxes.

27 going to 52 and sunny.

Buppies, glad arm is a bit better. Have a safe trip to beach.

Speaking of trips, I-95 was not too bad yesterday, except one bridge replacement construction project over the Meherrin River at Emporia. I love my state, but the VDOT needs to rethink how and when it closes a lane of highway on an Interstate roadbed only two lanes wide...a very busy stretch of road on Thanksgiving week...I think all the 18-wheelers were making their last run before the holiday...traffic backed up due to zippering into one lane for 1 hour and 20 minutes...and I needed to go to the bathroom :). But I brought my wife's parents here safe and sound. Saw a difference in gas prices over a 30 mile stretch range from $2.19 to 2.79. Paid $2.15 in Ashland.

I've got some exterior trim painting to do, but I'll wait until the surface temp warms to 50 to start, so probably this afternoon, maybe not at all on the north side.

Drinking some coffee grown in Myanmar (Burma) for the first time. Okay, not the best.

Left handed, but growing up in a right handed world, can do many things right handed just fine, and sometimes I go right handed just to try to teach myself better. But I am right eye dominant.

Kyle, right on!

25 going to 51, then 25 to 33 tomorrow.

I’m right handed but switch hit in baseball and could throw a little left handed but threw like a girl that way.
My late wife and my daughter are both lefties.

Trying to finish prep for the dinner tomorrow here at
Randy’s Outback Game Preserve and Backyard Wildlife Emporium.

No, but my daughter is friends with the great granddaughter of the guy who built it. Does that count?

That sounds close enough to be a drop-in guest anytime.

Good morning! a surprising 33˚ and frosty and I left the citrus trees outside.

Good Morning!!!! 45F @ 3:30AM here in Chico, CA. Periods of rain. High 53F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a half an inch. Localized flooding in recent burn areas.

A head cold is keeping me up this morning, not surprising with all the evacuees living out in the weather and frequenting all the same stores I've been visiting. I guess you can only wash your hands so many times a day, and it isn't enough.

I was brought up right handed, but I'm left eye dominant and probably should have been taught to write with my left hand. Not quite ambidextrous, but I don't have any trouble handling tools and doing delicate things with my left hand, either. I've been a ten finger typist since junior high school as well.

Stocked the truck with 10 gallons of E0, 10 gallons of propane, a weeks worth of freeze dried dinners, and a set of L4-30 connectors for the generator yesterday. Also went down to Oroville to pick up the mail, but had to make two trips through the line because the first clerk didn't find a package from Canada. It was the pulse frequency changer for the Vanagon speedometer/cutout problem, and I'm hoping to get a shot at that by the weekend. I'll make a pass through a grocery store for fresh food and ice for the cooler on the way out of town once the evac orders are lifted. Already started a list of things that will need taken care of when I get home, but the list isn't that long.

I'm pretty sure the power won't be back on when I get back up there, and that may be the case for several weeks. The PG&E outage map isn't making any predictions. With no power, cell service will be even more spotty than usual, so if I stop posting it just means I haven't got the satellite dish back on line yet. Even when it gets going again, I'll only have power for a few hours a day to conserve gasoline, but I'll still try to post daily.

More evacuation zones were opened yesterday, and the fire only grew by 1,000 acres. Two more dead found in Paradise, though, something I think will slow down after the rains mix the ashes of the homes so badly the bodies disappear. Gruesome work, for sure.

We're due for about an inch of rain each day over the next three days, and one of the storms will bring strong winds and rain heavy enough to cause debris flows. I'm guessing that officials won't open any more evacuation zones until after the storms pass on Saturday, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. I'd really like to get home and move the half used pallet of wood I left uncovered all summer back into the garage, but I've got plenty more under a tarp and enough for a few days at least already inside.

Happy Hump Day, folks.

Poured first cup of coffee. 33° with cloudy skies this morning. We have seen the high for today. As the skies clear with lots of sun. The temperature will drop into the teens. No problem with falling yesterday. Let mother nature do her job melting the snow. Off to Wally World and Sams club to finish out grocery shopping for tomorrow's dinner. Not much needed this year. Just the 2 of us. Wife and I asked each other what we did yesterday. She hemmed a sleeve and I went to mailbox and got the mail. Need to practice this more often. My arm feels much better today.

Looking, I have toured the castle. Not much open land near Toronto. Except in parks.

Buppies, glad arm is getting better.

Wngsprd, took me along time to figure out I am left eye dominant. My shooting skills have improved.

Thomas, glad you have E muffins.

Kyle, enjoy your days off. Second year of not visiting Lee County on our way to winter locations. Mis those visits.

Ed, busy day with Boy. Prayers sent.

Good Morning All.

Another reason to wear some type of breathing protection when outside.

I type with 10 fingers. But as I age. Find I need spell check and proofreading more. Even that does not work all the time. :confused3:

I thought I still had some of those, but if I do, I can't find them.

28 degrees here this morning and forecast to go to 60, clear and sunny.

I think we're only going to have one daughter and son-in-law here for Thanksgiving tomorrow, so we'll have a lot more to eat than we know what to do with.

Incidentally, son-in-law is a funeral director/mortician/funeral home manager, etc. so I sent him the following that I received from someone recently.

The man that invented Spell Check died today
May he rust in piss

Morning all, hope RNG gets to go home. How frustrating.

Am left eye dominate but right handed. In baseball can bat either way, but right feels better. But thats been a few yrs ago.

Today is most traveled day of the yr. I'll be in the fight.

40° here this morning and forecast is for high of 56° and increasing rain chances this evening.

We're having Thanksgiving at the Richmond house so .... my only prep job today is to bake a pumpkin pie and a chocolate pie.

Did everyone get the news to get rid of your romaine lettuce?

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Prayers to all.

More signs of life at the old homestead. I just checked the PG&E outage map and it's showing that power is on at the house. And I just finished a chat session with HughesNet, and they tell me that the satellite modem is on and the system is working, too. So I brought up the Home app on my iPhone, and sure enough several lights were on and the thermostat is reading 65°, pretty normal for this time of year.:cool2::dance1::drink:

Now I'm really chomping at the bit to get home...

Yup. We threw out our romaine, and I brought home some iceberg lettuce to make the salad with last night. Better safe than sorry!

Got my new synology NAS working tonight. Disappointed in the security cam app. Only allows 2 without further license. Maybe there is another app, got a lot to learn.
What type of computing needs do you do that a device like that would deliver? I'm interested.

Forgot about the bumper stickers. I have 2 of them. After reading the "HF tools that do not suck" thread. I need to get them put on my tool boxes.
I just remembered, that I have not 1, but 2 of wroughtnharv's TBN silhouette stones. Thanks to Don, for donating it to me. And thanks to Harvey who made them and gladly gave them as gifts to us. I have them as steps at each end of my barn's sidewalk.

Kyle, enjoy your days off. Second year of not visiting Lee County on our way to winter locations. Miss those visits.

I understand. Also just remembered you writing about having to wax the RV in Arizona too. Not sure if you miss that too. But glad you have good memories of it. Life's changes....Prayers for Betty and you.

Drew, pretty nice place. Enjoy. I would love to see the gardens too. Not sure why I like manicured gardens like those. Just do.

Eric, 27 litre displacement, glad I'm not having to top off the tank. :)

What would you guys do?
We have a new aggregate depot company about a kilometer from us. They built a rail spur and bring the stuff from where ever. It is noisy when they load the trucks in the 5 am hour. This just started about a month ago. Should I complain to the district attorney and Sheriff? Or should I find out the owner's name and drive past his house with one of those loud boom boom stereo cars at 5 am in the morning? He probably lives near Don, since the aggregate comes from his neck o' the quarries, so that would be the wrong direction for my commute. Maybe I could hire out a local punk to blare out the rap. They would still be up at that time from the night before anyway.

Bups prayers for your shoulder/arm, Ed, prayers for you and your family.

Good news, the missing chicken was hiding. Probably from the owl. Stayed underneath a porch deck overnight. Chicken count still at 3.

Another hydraulic cylinder on the smaller tractor leaking. This time it's the bucket curl cylinder. Deere wants about $75 for the seals, o-rings and bushings. Ouch. Might take it apart and see if I can piece meal my own kit.

It's 19° this morning with clear skies, yesterday was sunny and in the mid 40's. Today is going to be around 50° with mostly sunny skies. Not sure what tomorrow will bring they keep changing the forecast.

We was going to go to SLC for the holiday but the daughter said she had to work most of the weekend. And her ex has the grandson for the holiday weekend. So we will make the best of of it here.

Not much planned for today, feed the horses and do some work on the tool box.

RNG... That sounds promising, hope you get back and find everything else is ok. Best of luck.

Hoping everyone has a good start to the holiday.
CWB.
