The winter of 2013/2014 was pretty bad here. Record snow and record cold. Lost our power here for 14 days from November thru March . I had snow under some trees April 20! 2 of my neighbors, both widows, moved out, said they couldn’t handle another winter out here.

2013/14 was the same here, got our last snow early April that year.

There is no real coverage difference in Plan F and plan G, G requires you pay the first $183 in copays. That’s 6 doctor visits, if you do spend the whole $183, I would still save $324 in premiums, so I still save $141 with no loss of coverage.

Meanwhile, here is what greeted me this morning when pouring my first cup of coffee. Do you think it’s time to take the docks out?

23 this morning and headed to 36 today. Clear cold and sunny. Just what opening morning of modern gun season should be. First in years. Although I quit hunting years ago because of hunting pressure from state land that boarders me.

So I’ll get to my daily chores. Walk birds and check on cows. The last cow calved last week so calving season is done. Bull has been turned in with the heifers. Then at thanksgiving we’ll add the cows.

Toppop I don’t want a winter repeat of 2012. It was nice and warm and dry. We cleared land all winter. But it turned into a record setting drought in 2012. I pulled 10 vertical feet out of my 1 acre pond. It’s only 14 feet deep. Spillway stopped running in March. Didn’t start back till December. No pasture, no hay. Not one I wish to repeat.
