It was 60, now 54, cloudy wet and dreary. Had .58 of rain in the wee hours, might get some drizzle or a shower before the cool dry air takes over. Wind is predicted to be NW @ 20-30. Current is 14 mph from the NW.

I found a pain spray called Red Feather, it seems to work good on my game knee. They say on the label" penetrating relief from; Arthritis, Backache, Knee pain, Shoulder pain and Muscle cramps". I know for a fact that it works on my knee pain and muscle cramps. Redfeather Natural Products | Helping you live pain free, Naturally!

Looking4new, Interesting. The active ingredient in Redfeather is menthol at 7%. That is the same as active ingredient as most Bengay creams. Original Bengay has 16% menthol, and I wonder if it works for you also. Are there any other active ingredients in Redfeather?

RNG;
No sense spreading my name and address info all over the city dump. That grocery bag takes about a year to fill, and it'll make a great campfire starter once it starts raining here again. I sure like your stainless steel washtub idea, Ron, but any sort of burn barrel is banned here. I guess too many people don't like the smell of burning trash, or the ashes that float away and start fires when idiots use them wrong.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My shipping labels get burned at home. I have an older wood stove that can no longer be used to heat a house, but it is still a good stove that I incinerate all my burnables including chicken bones and fat from said chickens. It even has a double wall insulated chimney on it. Chimney pipe that I don't trust in the house because of whatever flaws/damage.
Magazines get the address blacked out with a felt marker and donated to the library or a doctors office. Envelopes get burned.
Used oil goes to a garage that heats with a used oil furnace.
Non-medical ingredients; water, isopropyl alcohol, glycerol, eucalyptus oil, wintergreen oil, peppermint oil and coconut oil.
I read that off the label and put in the same order as the label lists them.
It smells quite nice.
It isn't cheap. 4 oz=$19.95 + whatever taxes the goobermint wants to sting you for.
L4N, and just think of the added benefit that the peppermint oil will keep the ants away!
just in case you have winter ants there...
back from quick trip downtown to get the parmesan cheese I forgot, now outside to blow leaves for awhile.
Bright blue breezy day.
Good morning to all! Woke up this morning to a stiff cool breeze going at 15-20 mph. Predicted gusts to 35. I guess it's now the start of our 'windy season'. No precip is forcasted.
I'm going to try and continue with my outdoor winter preparation. Not that much to do, but one of those things I put away will surely be needed next week:laughing:
Drew, just bite the big one and get the options that you really want. Like you said, it will be the last new tractor you buy, so, make the most of it:D
Everyone have a great day! Prayers out for all
Is that stuff available in 50 gallon barrels? I could use a bathtub full...:laughing:
To buy a barrel, we might need to all chip in together...at the $19.95 price for 4 oz , that would be $32,000. :)
I just looked up potentiometer.
Since the rain was starting to end, I decided to finish washing the outside windows and try to beat the sunrise drying everything out. So, got the ladder, bucket, brush and squeegee. Wind picked up and the temps never got over 54, so I got wet and chilly, but feel good about finishing the job. Wife will be happy when she gets home.
I did hear two blackpowder rifle shots far off, making me wonder whether I made the right choice this morning, but I'll make up for it by heading to the woods this afternoon.
69°F and 2.02 inches rain but not before I got another couple hours on the tractor. Down to my least favorite mowing - backwards, half turned in my seat. Topography is something of a triple slope. Picture something of a a V or U shape with the trough running down mountain. Problem is I can only guess, but not see where the bottom is or any surprises enroute. No way I can reasonable just drive blindly forward. Makes more sense to me to let the mower clear the way minimizing surprises that could result in tipping or getting stuck. Soil is surprisingly moist under that tall guinea grass. This area was formed a few years ago when the farmer stripped back the sod and deposited in low area. Of course there was minimal attempt at smoothing. Would like to get more today, but depends on conditions.
Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day and have
The active ingredient, Menthol, is made from mint leaves, maybe Drew can plant a few rows and save $31,995.00 that he can use to get the extras on his tractor.
Well no outside work done today other clean ditch to flow from leaves blockage. :(
I learned the hard way that paper shredders don't like peel and stick labels
I run them through my paper shredder all the time with no problem. BUT I either cut off a label with it stuck to other paper, or I fold such labels so there's no sticky stuff for the blades to hit. I do the same with labels on prescription bottles, peel the label off, fold it so no sticky is exposed and drop it in the paper shredder.
Very nice fall day. Even got some seat time moving sons trailer into barn. Burning of documents has come to a halt until tub and ashes cool off. Tub is full of ashes.
Not sure it classifies as mowing or just knocked down, but I’m happy with it as a first effort. Definitely know where the bad places are now.
Pretty much like Bird, into the shredder but no exposed sticky.
David, lot of nasty spots you could scare yourself pretty well there, holes to drop in, be careful.
Looking good though!
meat balls and spaghetti turned out fine, we will all be asleep shortly
a field of menthol, now that would be different.
You’re so right Drew. The “holes” are actually between the guinea grass mounds and they are substantial. My fear was finding one of those while finding a low spot for the other rear tire and get tippy. Fortunately, didnt happen. Disappointed the farmers didn’t leave a smoother transition. Not sure if i’ll try to fix or leave and allow to grow
You use your own pepper in your sauce?
Throw a couple of basket of mint menthol leaves in the hot tub and you will believe you have found the fountain of youth, all the old age aches and pains will just melt away.
Good evening all. 51F for the start, partly cloudy sky and calm wind. The wind started to pick up at 9AM, peaked at 1PM (20-35), sky had variable cloudiness, and high temp of 70F. Bike rid this morning, followed by a nap :)
RNG good luck working out the idle air control issue.
Randy remember have fun while you are hosting Thanksgiving!
David hope you get finished mowing with no problems.
We do combination of shredding and burning. Do more old record clean outs during winter when stove available.
Don not uncommon here with the 4 biggest streets are Lake Kiowa east, west, north, and south. When on gets missed delivered here, we take to the correct address.
Prayers for all.
My heart, or more accurately, my heart-in-mouth, goes out to you, David. Lots of similar topography here, and it all likes to get overgrown with tall grass so it's a total guess what's underneath. I'm very sorry I didn't go the extra mile when it all went under the dozer blade to get it as smooth and rut free as possible, and now every year I end up creeping around trying to feel a tip over in progress. I keep saying each year after getting it mowed I'll get out the backhoe and box blade and fix the worst of it, but so far it hasn't happened because the last cut is just at the start of fire season and I don't want to be "that guy" that strikes the spark. If you have the opportunity, do take advantage of it, especially in the worst spots, and even if you don't get it all done this year. It'll be a start, and eventually you'll get it all done and make your life a LOT safer!
Good morning all. For those of you changing clocks today, don't nap too long after lunch or the afternoon will be over before you know it :)
I've not wanted to waste any of the precious daylight since our clocks changed last week, although I should be able to sneak a few minutes guilt free snooze today as showers are in the forecast.
Would certainly appreciate a little more sleep to recover from grandchildren visit yesterday, the youngest is hard work at the moment as he is always on the go. Just before his first birthday he found that he could stand up and walk under our kitchen table, with one hand on the chairs for support. Yesterday he kept discovering that a) things change - he's grown taller than the table and b) oak is a hard wood. Ouch.
