I learned the hard way that paper shredders don't like peel and stick labels

I run them through my paper shredder all the time with no problem. BUT I either cut off a label with it stuck to other paper, or I fold such labels so there's no sticky stuff for the blades to hit. I do the same with labels on prescription bottles, peel the label off, fold it so no sticky is exposed and drop it in the paper shredder.

Very nice fall day. Even got some seat time moving sons trailer into barn. Burning of documents has come to a halt until tub and ashes cool off. Tub is full of ashes.

Not sure it classifies as mowing or just knocked down, but I’m happy with it as a first effort. Definitely know where the bad places are now.

Pretty much like Bird, into the shredder but no exposed sticky.

David, lot of nasty spots you could scare yourself pretty well there, holes to drop in, be careful.
Looking good though!

meat balls and spaghetti turned out fine, we will all be asleep shortly

a field of menthol, now that would be different.

You’re so right Drew. The “holes” are actually between the guinea grass mounds and they are substantial. My fear was finding one of those while finding a low spot for the other rear tire and get tippy. Fortunately, didnt happen. Disappointed the farmers didn’t leave a smoother transition. Not sure if i’ll try to fix or leave and allow to grow

You use your own pepper in your sauce?

Throw a couple of basket of mint menthol leaves in the hot tub and you will believe you have found the fountain of youth, all the old age aches and pains will just melt away.

Good evening all. 51F for the start, partly cloudy sky and calm wind. The wind started to pick up at 9AM, peaked at 1PM (20-35), sky had variable cloudiness, and high temp of 70F. Bike rid this morning, followed by a nap :)
RNG good luck working out the idle air control issue.
Randy remember have fun while you are hosting Thanksgiving!
David hope you get finished mowing with no problems.
We do combination of shredding and burning. Do more old record clean outs during winter when stove available.
Don not uncommon here with the 4 biggest streets are Lake Kiowa east, west, north, and south. When on gets missed delivered here, we take to the correct address.
Prayers for all.

My heart, or more accurately, my heart-in-mouth, goes out to you, David. Lots of similar topography here, and it all likes to get overgrown with tall grass so it's a total guess what's underneath. I'm very sorry I didn't go the extra mile when it all went under the dozer blade to get it as smooth and rut free as possible, and now every year I end up creeping around trying to feel a tip over in progress. I keep saying each year after getting it mowed I'll get out the backhoe and box blade and fix the worst of it, but so far it hasn't happened because the last cut is just at the start of fire season and I don't want to be "that guy" that strikes the spark. If you have the opportunity, do take advantage of it, especially in the worst spots, and even if you don't get it all done this year. It'll be a start, and eventually you'll get it all done and make your life a LOT safer!

Good morning all. For those of you changing clocks today, don't nap too long after lunch or the afternoon will be over before you know it :)

I've not wanted to waste any of the precious daylight since our clocks changed last week, although I should be able to sneak a few minutes guilt free snooze today as showers are in the forecast.

Would certainly appreciate a little more sleep to recover from grandchildren visit yesterday, the youngest is hard work at the moment as he is always on the go. Just before his first birthday he found that he could stand up and walk under our kitchen table, with one hand on the chairs for support. Yesterday he kept discovering that a) things change - he's grown taller than the table and b) oak is a hard wood. Ouch.
