I can't imagine 122 fuel pumps. Must be constant flow of delivery tankers.

Now that Whipper has taken that tour of your part of the county, now knows home sweet home is the best.

I'll have to look up Tail of the Dragon, but sounds like fun.

While still working I'd think about what I wanted to do during retirement. Today has been one of those daydreams.

Started off for the mountains while still dark. Hiked a section of the Appalachian Trail up Comptons Peak with great weather, and then another shorter trail. Then home, chat with wife a while, and now up a tree with my bow listening to acorns falling.

The leaf colors in the mountains were much prettier than last Tuesday, but nothing as good as your trees, Ron.

A big issue, at every Buc-ees I've been to is, with the huge number of pumps, some folks think it's ok to pull in at pumps near the store entrance, as if they're just another parking place. They go into store and eventually come back out and leave without ever buying any fuel.

My son took his 2016 Shelby Mustang on tail of the dragon this summer. Great ride with 450 hp and magneride suspension.

The horsepower isn’t real important there, mine has 350, I turned off the electronic stability control, the tires and suspension do the work there. That magnaride is similar to what the Corvette has, its sweet for sure. The Camaro, Mustang and to a degree the Vette, are almost too big for those tight turns, my mid sized SUV is a dinosaur.
The Solstice, Sky and Miata are near perfect.

These are a couple of proofs from Tail of The Dragon, taken by some guys that shoot every vehicle that runs it. My Borrego with sport suspension and 265/60/18 tires, actually handled it pretty well, lower profile tires would have helped.

Did the Tail of The Dragon once... I think I passed myself 3 or 4 times...

Dinosaur? I did it in a 2003 Pontiac Montana in 2006.

I thought a large gas station has 16 pumps like costco...lol. Cant imagine needing 122 in one place.

Perfect day for skyline, wish i was hiking with you, instead of daydreaming.....
Comptons a long ways away from you..

Kyle, there was a roman republic before the well known roman empire, which was the ceaser reign. A lot of our government is based on it.

I can't honestly say, this book I'm reading focuses on Justinian's rule, and the why's and how's of it. He died about age 80, in 565. Also it talks in depth of the plagues and how they were a big reason for the fall of the empire.

If you look at the reasons the roman empire fell, and you look at world events today, it gets scary. Influx of invaders, over taxation, over expansion, failing infrastructure, political infighting, division of power, lack of central leadership, political corruption, mass migration and loss of traditional values.
The eastern empire maintained a good while after the west fell, but eventually fell also.

Seems we maybe headed along similar path ☹️
Amazing how upsetting it is to some when all these “advances” are resisted, until total failure and people are forced revert to basics just to survive.

27 right now...high today, in the mid-40's.

Well, doctors says I have bronchitis...I guess that's no surprise. I pick up antibiotics this afternoon.

Happy Halloween, All!

Pretty much the same weather here as what Roy is having. We might get a tad warmer for the high. Hope you feel better Roy!

Finally had a day without wind and rain. Got some of the leaves picked up. Hopefully will have time after work to do some more.

Good morning all, 38 going to 72 and mostly sunny. Slept in this morning, nice to have an extra hour. Not sure of the plans today will see.

Ron, not much going on in the shop lately, the boy has been going through a stressful time and I have been more in the house. His mother and father stuck him in a home and he had a very hard time there and he has a lot of fear that he will be shipped off somewhere again. The inspection somehow increased that fear. Pretty leaves, ours are all dull this year.

Have a great day, prayers sent. Ed

Coffee has finished brewing. 51° with rain this morning. Heading to 56° with some sun in afternoon. Wife has a doctor appointment this morning. Then back home to relax. No need to get candy out for trick or treating. Not one visit in over 40 years.

Roy, get well soon.

Happy Halloween.

Good Morning All.
