Good morning! Great news Drew, for you, not down town. We had a few showers here also yesterday.
Kyle your burn ban has been lifted. Got the page Monday but forgot to tell you.

Rain expected today as the area of low pressure moves across Texas.

Spinning class this morning.

2018-08-15,

57 right now...high today will be about 80.

Chores for this weekend....haircut (today), mow the lawn, move various implements around and prep them for the winter months (doubt I'll need the chipper and flail mower anymore this year). Also, top off the genny and pressure washer so I can add Stabil to the tank...which means I'll need to get some gasoline today too, thinking about it
I need to pull the lower (3PH) pins off the snow blower so I can remove a jam nut from each side. The jam nuts are necessary to keep the pins in place unless there are bushings used (bushings for the quick hitch). The jam nuts interfere with the lower hooks of the QH. I've been living with this since I bought the snow blower a few years ago...but I want to fix it before this winter.
None of this will get done in any particular order, except for the hair cut...that's got to be done this morning.

Well, I'm glad Drew came through the storm pretty much unscathed...but, Drew...when you take that run to see the river, as someone else warned you...be very cautious of water running across the roads!! I know of a woman and her baby that drowned after attempting to drive through water. The was during a flash flood in Felton PA (Muddy Creek overflowed) about 20 some years back.

Glad you all survived the storm, looks like the weather maker gave us a break. It could have been so much worse.

Heading to Front Royal/ Winchester to Chucky Cheese for my grandsons 4th birthday party. Gotta drive back later, moving some of Ellen’s stuff tomorrow.
Have a good folks, God bless.

safe drive Toppop

I never cross water, anywhere, unless it's an emergency. Turn around, don't drown.
Downtown still flooded by River, but business section drained out, lot of folks with first floor issues I'm sure.
Food Lion not open, local greasy spoon closed, think everyone is staying home for another day, which is probably wise.

Very little tree damage other than small limbs, though my road looked the worst of all, my neighbor on one side has a big pine tree down.
I'm headed out front with the tractor to pick up brush anyway, will swing next door and see if he wants any help. Never met him before.
If he will saw the tree up I will at least move the big pieces off his front lawn. After reminding him that R4s with a loader full leave tracks...

Morning crew.

70 outside this AM. Lower 80's with rain chances throughout the day. Grey and damp outside.

Glad you are OK Drew. Continue to be aware of the rains and water and debris work I am sure you will undertake soon.

Buppies hope your power comes back soon.

Tops, nice lawn. Mine is officially a "meadow" now. I got the ZTR back last night and made a few passes here and there. Mainly up the driveway. For Critter avoidance. If it ever dries up, maybe the rest can be harvested for the animals. It's that high.

Looks like metal time on the run-in today. Even if it rains I should be OK. Extremely motivated to get it done this w/e. At least the roof. LOL. I need to set 24 panels total. Yikes, that seems like a lot. LOL.

Have a great day all. Be safe!

With all this hurricane talk I just got an e-mail this morning about a new product from EGO. Another source of portable power when the electricity goes off. Just plug in your lawnmower/weedeater/hedgetrimmer/chainsaw/blower battery in and use the 110 electrical socket or the USB ports. Only $99

Good morning all.

No rain here, the sun was streaming through the windows first thing, inviting me outside for a short walk. After months of finally adjusting to the long hot summer the air felt decidedly chilly. Max's enthusiasm for outdoor life soon waned too. He stopped, turned around and gave me a serious stare that said why don't we just go back inside and wait until it has warmed up a bit. Smart dog.

I can't remember if I put up this picture that I took a few weeks back of a tiny tug boat with a teeny weenie identical boat in tow on a nearby canal. It had everyone laughing who walked past, but doubt it would impress your friend who wants 3 motors Drew.

Yep, definitely the smallest tugboats I've ever seen.

I got the same email a few days ago myself. Looks like an interesting tool, but I don't think I need it myself right now.

I have a small generator but this would make it so you would not have to run it so much when you are just charging computers and phones or using a lamp to read.
I can see where primitive campers would love it.
