I thought Fimco was US?

had to mow far side of property where I've been clearing a small part of the roadside, on the far left in this picture, entertaining making a building lot
there so I don't have to maintain two road frontages any more. Gravely has very low CG and now things are dry, I was tilted over quite a bit
on the ditch banks. How low shall I go.....
And then I decided to make the roadsides nice, what I normally cut with the tractor in what turns out to be half the time.
But community now looks nice for the holiday weekend. After three hours out there in the sun, spf 70 or not, I was feeling baked.
And it sure was hot when I was done.

Am waiting for sun to go down a little more before I go pick okra, by tomorrow morning the pods would be too big.
Remarkably fast growing plant, loves the sun.

getting hotter, not cooler, not going out in that...

as I watch the temps in San Francisco where my sister is, 67 degrees. Very cool temps like Sodamo, both on Pacific Ocean.

I have the Chinese knock off of that sprayer from Tractor Supply. Fimco I think it is. So far they've been good about being able to get parts, but when the pump/motor went out, I went to a local company in Chico that makes and sells agricultural sprayers and got a made in USA replacement. It dropped right in, the copy was so good. And it cost almost as much as the entire spray rig, but five years later it's still going strong. Had I to do it again, I'd have just purchased the whole rig from the ag store...:duh:

My other sprayer is a 15 gallon one that came from Tractor Supply over 20 years ago. The old Flo-Jet pump still runs okay but, not nearly as strong as the North Star and it’s not on-demand, it runs constantly.

Northern Tool had their North Star pumps on sale so, I bought another 2.2 GPM / 70 psi pump for the old sprayer. It mounts with same dimensions as the old pump.

https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200578568_200578568

The new North Star Sprayer also has a tank drain on bottom side of one end. I bought a 3/4” bulkhead fitting and cap at TSC yesterday to install on the tank of my old sprayer. Just have to drill a 1 1/4” hole in the end of the tank to install it. Should make clean-out easier too.

We believe in the “share and share alike” doctrine, Drew.

105 HEAT index here. Few miles east hit 109. Nice and soggy. Was a six bottle Gatorade day. Much walking back to the shade. Need to get the roof going forward. Just for shade.

Started cleaning out the garage. Bought 2 more new LED shop lights from costco awhile back, hung them in garage. Like the old ones better. New ones have chains and a clunky metal wire, the old had a nice cable for hanging. Had garage window ac running and a fan, still came in soaked.

Drew, since you posted about rs getting spewed at, I thought I'd take the time to show you what he said to me. To all: I did not post what Drew posted earlier. In fact, I haven't even seen it yet...

He knows I have a 10 year old daughter with disabilities and that she has to ride the short bus.

This is how he replied after I told him he needs professional help.

(rswyan)Thanks for your OPINION ... we always appreciate hearing from the short bus crowd ...

The man has given up on any type of civility IMO. There is one or two others that still aim short bus jokes at me. And they all happen to be on one side of the line.

But hey, it's the internet. You get all types. And a few show their broadsides.

Just thought I'd let you know, "The rest of the story".

So I don't necessarily miss him.

Kyle I’m sorry there are people like that in the world their vitriol and hate is part of what’s wrong with this world today

Was slow at work, went and got my haircut. Traffic used to be reasonable during the day during the week.. it seems now it constant. While it is not nearly as bad as larger cities, it can get backed up and get frustrating. Really glad I work from home and don't have to deal with the rat race on the roads daily.

Just came in from digging a hole.

Felt a spongy area in the turf above the underground path that the pipe travels from the well to the house.

Water seeping into bottom of hole slowly...have not found the pipe yet, but did find the phone number to the plumber :).

I hate water line leaks.....arggghhh Maybe your son could come back with his puppy that needs some digging training....(the doggie). I know I could get my golden excited and point to the ground and he'd start digging right there. :) Ahh, good memories of a great dog.

Good morning everyone. This is a particularly good morning here; the air is clear and smells good. I can see the mountains on both sides of the valley clearly. I know it will be gone in a day or two but I'll take what I can get. Sure wish the western states could get a big wet storm off the pacific and put out all the fires.

I don't know what the temperature is but I'm guessing upper 30's with a high today in the 70's.

Hope ya'll have a nice day.

30's??? I just can't imagine having to put on a jacket yet....unless I worked in a meat freezer.

I'm rebuilding a vacuum pump at work. An Edwards brand, not all that big. Buggars cost almost $5000. Our chemistry team is good/bad about running corrosive gas through them. They get all rusty on the inside. I'm thinking of starting a rebuild service on the side. Our work has over 2 dozen pumps like this, and most all need servicing or rebuilt.

Low 90’s last few days. Rain for the next few. Hot and humid. Ain’t it August though.

Was home today as the oldest stayed home sick. Ended up with an ear infection. Will be going back to school tomorrow.

Did get the closet organizer hung in the bathroom closet. Need to go get another. It’s a corner closet with the door on a 45. Only had enough to do one wall. Now to do other wall, now that I know how big to get it.

Just left horse riding for the challenged. I always enjoy that place. Help with saddling and getting riders on and off. Usually some good conversation with other volunteers also.

Kyle. Sorry he said that. Some people really need to experience some not so “normal” things in life. I turned away from him months ago after some comments he made also. Goodbye. Don’t stoop to his level. Think the last time he came back here was just for sympathy.

Rip. A 6 Gatorade day. WOW. More than two a day makes me sick. But I usually drink a water with it. If I stop for a drink when it’s hot. I drink a water and a Gatorade or a pop. Something with flavor and a water for the hydration. Don’t have a lot of problems with cramps this way.

Top pop hopefully things get better.

Drew. Nice job on banks.
