Was out there once during bike week, entirely by accident on my part. Cycles everwhere. Some of the small towns blocked off main street, just for bike parking.

Does everyone see a little zero when I put the degrees sign next to the temp number like this ˚ or does it come out as some weird characters on your device?

I get a °. On a PC it's ALT and 0176 = °.

Don I see your degree sign but Ron's often comes out the # with a little 1/2 after.

Forgot to say that yesterday, just south of Franklin Wv rt 20 runs by the river and the other side is a rock cliff about 5 stories high. Just as I got there a bald eagle flew off of the cliff and soared over the river beside me. Seemed the perfect place to see a bald eagle.

My windows laptap struggles with that Ron.
First time I tried that keyboard sequence it just produced a rude beep.
Next time I got 2 more degrees than Don and a sound that went Hoo-oo ha-a ha-a and before I knew it youtube was playing Three Degrees - When Will I See You Again (1974) HQ 7 - YouTube

I saw that Bing homepage this morning and chuckled. It said something about "rumbling into Sturgis," but shows a picture of a Honda Goldwing and what looks like a BMW K-series riding through the Badlands. Having owned both of those, I can tell you there's not a whole lot of "rumble" from either. Very quiet bikes. I've never been to the Sturgis rally, and even as a longtime rider, it's not very high on my bucket list. I would love to ride up there in that area, though. Beautiful.

I think the forum software struggles a bit with some symbols and alt+ characters. Sometimes my symbols come out fine, and other times they degrade into gibberish.

Don, I get that degree sign on my computer, coming from you. But I haven't figured out how to get it on my computer. And I know there was a time when I knew how to do it, but I've sure forgotten.

Yep, I, too, have owned 3 Hondas and one BMW. I've ridden a couple of those Harley noise makers, but never owned one. We passed through Sturgis many, many years ago, during that rally, and noticed nearly all those Harley riders either hauled their bikes with a truck or trailer, or had someone following them with a truck or trailer. I understand, in more recent years, that Harley's have become reliable enough that some people risk making trips without a truck going along.:laughing:

Hahaha ... yeah, Bird, I've heard that, too. So had a friend of mine, who recently switched from a Yamaha to a newer Harley. He packed his bags and headed west from St. Louis a few days ago, and has been posting pictures on Facebook of his progress. Last night, he posted a picture of a couple of guys loading it onto a flatbed tow truck somewhere in Colorado. He took a bus to Denver, and is waiting in a hotel room to find out how much the seized piston will cost him.

Ok, forgot to mention part of the requirements.
Place the cursor where you want to insert the degree symbol.
On your keyboard, press Alt + 0176. Note: This method works only for keyboards that include a 10-key numeric pad.

Ctl, alt 2468 works on a windows machine also. On Apple touch screens just hold your zero for a second and the degree symbol will hover above it, just slide your finger to it.

Thomas, love hearing about your critters. For some reason we have only red foxes here, but I see gray ones when I go hunting in SE Virginia.

Was too wet for me to mow last night. Yard is real tall. Same weather predicted next 10 days.
Fedex reports they delivered my new geo pump today, ill be working on that tonight. The water is dirty, so i am going to totally flush the loops with new water. Which means buying a bunch of glycol again.

I've round trip twice on bike from my door step,third time trailer we had much better time...Mrs. would like to go again but in autumn.

Well I managed to slip in my first oil change on my ZTR this afternoon between showers. Easiest oil change vehicle I've ever had. A bonus was the filter wrench for my Tundra also fits the oil filter on the mower.

But I think I messed up and will have to change it again tomorrow. I used regular Mobil 1 synthetic 10W30 - API SN...as soon as I finished I got to thinking about the oil API I use for my tractor started with a "C" so looked it up at the API site and saw that sure enough SN is for gas engines and my mower manual called for CF or better. I've always used nonsyn 15W40 in my tractor and was excited to move to syn on the ZTR. So didn't have my thinking cap on when I bought the oil.

Back to the store tomorrow.

I sure would use it again. My understanding is most modern oil is compatible.
