Top and sodamo, sorry for the loss of your friends. People always find a place in our lives for some wonderful times. I hope when you can reminisce you find a lot of good times that you all shared.

68 heading to low 80's today. Fog over the pastures. Looks like the weather finally caught up to my pool. Have to add water to it. Seems we are in a dry spell now. Need to scalp the browning grasses that now crunches under foot. Got my chain saw working yesterday, stuck throttle cable. It's a cheapo, took it apart and cleaned out the insides. Yikes! Gunk everywhere.

I hope all have a great Friday, watch over your shoulders today.

Be Safe!

Eric, glad you got your rain. I need to try your bait.

Mowed along the road late yesterday...first time since they tar and graveled...found where they spilled some.

74 degrees this morning, going for a high of 98. For several days, the NWS showed a 50% chance of rain for us, and nothing happened. So yesterday, they lowered the forecast to 30% and we got about .05" of rain while the airport 10 miles from here for 1.24". I'm happy for those folks up there, but sure wish more of that rain had gotten down here.

And yesterday morning I got an email from an old friend's wife that he had just died. He started on the police department a couple of weeks before I did and in later years, when I was a Captain and he was a Lieutenant, we worked together in 4 different divisions of the department, played golf together, etc. He was born in Methodist Hospital in Dallas, and about 80 years later died in Methodist Hospital in Dallas.

Good morning! 77˚ heading to the high 90s, next week we get a string of 100s, so I'm enjoy the cool mornings.

David, Randy and Bird, sorry for the loss of your friends.

Whipper's first day in preschool went well. The classes go from preschool all the way up to college and they can take years. Her first test she passed - walking on a leash without pulling. We both are learning a lot. #1 rule is to never let your dog greet another dog. Always keep your distance. During our neighborhood walks I have had to tell some dog owners to pull their dog back. She stayed out last night only barking at a person at 11PM with a flashlight on the golf course that was going around a neighbors house who is on vacation. The yard is her's and so is the golf course about 50 yards on either side of the yard.

Today I have to work on some bird nest that have been on some decorative wood beams in front of the house. HMM ladder work on Friday the 13th, might have to delay that project.

Hoping to get the bike out of the shop today or they will be in the same category as RNG's VW.

The Harvest gold lamps turned out good and got the WSA. (Wife's Seal of Approval)

beautifully said Riptides. And Bird sorry for loss of your friend too.

This is part of us getting older, and the pace increases. Not exactly a cheery thought...
My Mom died at 51 and my Father at 65. I'm surprised I'm still here at 68.

ALS is an awful disease, hard on patient, hard on family, and rarely a good prognosis.
And sometimes when you want things to hurry up and be done with, they don't...
My step Mother who died at 93 in a nice CCC was in a wheelchair for years, but got around and had
a good life. But she told me softly one day, in the dining room where I would have lunch with her,
"you know Drew, sometimes it takes a long time to die" which I remember to this day.

I'll take the long time please, but only if not a burden on others. I have a big LTCI policy that hopefully
will prevent that. But when everyone, 100 percent, of your family dies of cancer, well....

this is why every day is a new beginning, a new opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest.
Remind those you love of your love. Always.

I started using GIMP when photoshop got too bloated and costly. It's got a lot of the same features, many similar, and most work really well. I've tried other package solutions, some of them are really nice for a photographer, but over time GIMP has kept me where others have ultimately just helped me keep going back to GIMP. I use a Macintosh and Windows and Linux... so I can use GIMP on any of them.

Is that a four string guitar you're playing in your avatar? :)
Yes, I too am a dedicated devotee to GIMP, but as PJ wrote - Gimp does not do vector.

PJ, maybe try downloading a program called Inkscape. It's free open source software, they only ask for a donation if you like it.

I just tested the pdf import by lifting a drawing from my Iseki manual (had to get a tractor into this somewhere :) )and proving that it came in as vectors by clicking on the steering wheel to delete it.

Great suggestion! I'll have to try it.

But Eric, why did you want to get rid of your steering wheel? Are you going to make your Iseki autonomous? :)
