Good morning!!!!

Red Flag warnings go up for much of the northern Sacramento Valley and foothills at 11AM today, lasting through Sunday morning. Very low humidity and brisk winds are the reason. I just hope people pay attention, especially those with bootleg fireworks.

Paint a wall, trip to transfer station.
Wife taking Pilot in for servicing - almost 3900 miles. Wonder if they’ll change the oil this time?

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

For the Subaru it's 7500 miles between oil changes.

I took my old triathlon bike to the bike shop and they were "in chills". A real vintage bike. They suggested I sell it to a collector and buy a new one. I told them there is some prestige in shifting without the aid of electronics and rim brakes are ok no need for disc brakes. They said to give them a few days and they will give me a quote to make it road worthy and a quote for a trade in.

So after Drew's okra they get a package of Twinkies. Ok.

So your okra is competing against twinkles. That is totally unfair. Let me think . . . . A healthy okra twinkie, I need to work on this recipe.

Good morning to all! Low of 62 this morning, going up to SPAM ( sizzle, percolate, and melt ). Supposed to 'cool down' to around 90 for the next week. Maybe a passing shower this weekend, only a 10-20% chance so I don't really expect to see one.

Heard some sad news this morning on another thread here, 'bad day at block rock'. One of our members passed away in May in a house fire. Jim, known as "Crash325", was a special person and we looked forward to reading his posts about 'the old times' . I was fortunate to get one of his handmade craft items. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

Everyone have a good weekend, prayers out for those in need.
Oh no. Followed that thread.. RIP crash.

good morning all. 76 going to 92 with afternoon thunderstorms. Summer time.

full day planned, rototilling, planting, weedeating, going to get out before 6am and try to beat the heat.

at the local food pantry, Walmart and Food Lion bring all their outdated food, and the volume of sweets, cupcakes, twinkies, all kinds of grossly unhealthy food (the who eats that crap stuff....) that come in by the van load is extraordinary. Huge amounts of outdated sugary stuff and I asked the food pantry, which has a strong healthy food initiative going, why they distribute this clearly unhealthy food.

The answer was telling. Among the poor, getting fancy dessert stuff to treat their kids is just too much of a draw. I was told the clientele would howl if the sweets were cut off. The addiction of our country to sweets....
So after Drew's okra they get a package of Twinkies. Ok.

Drew, very common for us to be in-line at Walmart or grocery store behind an EBT recipient. Always amazed at the ratio of junk vs good food in the cart. Most of it stuff I’d never spend my money on. Shame is it’s just not the sweet stuff, but convenience foods rather than the good stuff that requires preparation.

95 out, 122 heat index and I had to come in. Ugh.
Felt poorly despite drinking a sports drink and my left eustachian tube clogged up again, like I was underwater.
That's a wrap. But before then I picked a surprising amount of blue potatoes, almost ten pounds, so I can do more red, white and blue
potatoes for the 4th. Then I picked beets for a friend, who doesn't like the greens, so I cut them off, they were kinda bedraggled anyway.
Red and golden beets.

I was behind a 350 pound guy in line this past week, he had four cases of Coca Cola and three bags of chips.
Man is committing suicide by food.

More time in the kitchen (preparing from scratch) more time on this Earth.

I have that same issue with my left ear in hot weather. Doctor doesn’t seem to have a clue of the cause.

Got some work done on my work bench but not done. Went to town looking for a good tap and die set. All I found was a light duty Irwin set. Need both SAE and Metric. Anyone have any good ideas?

Drew what does the yellow beats taste like? Wife would not let me plant any buy Detroit Dark Red.

Buppies, Praying about something behind your ear, and your health in general.

LS praying for your knee.

Prayers for all in need, have a good night. Ed

First off. I was sorry to hear about Crash. RIP Jim. I also looked forward to his posts.

Got the lower garage in some semblance of shape. Sad to report the upper shop is a mess still. Countless trips up those stairs and bringing the Kubota in for heavy lifting. Made for a long day but the big stuff is located on the ground floor so now comes the fine tuning.IMG_2712.JPGIMG_2713.JPG
Upper floor start.

And the Kubota having to work for a living.

Good evening all. 81F this morning, mostly clear sky and moderate breeze. Wind picked up a lot, sky clear and high temp 99F. The high pressure moves out Tuesday night /Wednesday morning and get about 8 or 9 degree cool off. Bike ride this morning, cleaning lady prep, and nap after lunch. Dealer should have correct color boat in Monday, should be ready for pick up Tuesday. Tomorrow the group ride is going for 100+ miles :shocked:, if I don't report in tomorrow night, you'll know why.
Prayer for all.

100 miles and 100˚. Hope you have a wide brim helmet! Do they make those?

How much water do you drink on a ride like that?

Wow. Lots of calories burning there. You might lose a few pounds in 1 day!

I’ve been pretty busy, helping my sister out, and doing some work on the wife’s shop. Got up to 90 here, going to 93 or more tomorrow. More time in the ac. I have a couple of projects I’ve gotta get busy on, summer won’t last forever.

Have a good one!

I have 2 of those tables like your scroll saw is on. Been very handy over the years. Wish I had a couple more at times.

coffee finished brewing, up early, lots of mowing to do today.
Weather says today is much warmer than yesterday. Not sure how that is possible...

Looks like a hot dry spell ahead for awhile. Hope you all have a safe and fun weekend.
