Don, it’s a different technology completely. Tell your sales person to go educate himself.

You can get a discount by having DirectTV or an AT&T Cell phone. $50 vs. $60 for 170 gB/ month.

I found that the local AT&T folks didn’t have a clue on 5G. They keep correcting me with “you mean 4G”.

Me too. The really only internet here is SuddenLink. They must have had some type of deal with del web. They also provide land line, cable TV, internet and home security. I did not have 80-300 channels in the country and I don't want them now. The cable people here seem to think people cannot live without the weather channel, ESPN and the 24 hour news stations. I educated them. The OTA guys from the TV shop came out and said I can get free OTA TV with this: Amazon.com: Winegard GS-22�� Sensar III Digital Ready Antenna: Home Audio & Theater and they have installed many in Sun City with good viewing results. I also returned the modem from Suddenlink internet service and bought a better NetGear modem so I don't have to rent their equipment. I'll end up with about the same set-up as in the country but with a much faster cable internet for about $10 less a month.

Whipper is up to two a 2 block walk without loosing her nerve.

Went to change brake pads on the truck, and discovered the bolts takes a star type socket, and i dont have one that large.

Then went to change oil in the new subaru, and found a plastic cover under the front. Has an access cover just for oil plug, but couldnt get the pushin plastic plugs out. Might just take the whole cover off.

It was something I wanted. I have a 4 year old granddaughter here that has lived with me off and on since before her birth that unfortunately isn't allowed to live more than 50 miles away from her father(divorce stuff) even though he never sees her. Her and I are so close it's unbelievable everyone says.

Kinda bothered me about the whole situation so I bought a farm with a guest cottage that I'm putting her and her single mother in right in my back yard. The father had been showing his butt since the divorce throwing his weight around on the wife.

They've told me that the dad was fit to be tied when he heard what I'd done as we kept it quiet till closing day yesterday! Hee Hee Hee.

I would have thought AT&T cell phones would have good service here but because of the radiant roof and in a valley it is worse here than in the country and I usually have to go outside to talk or I'm cutting out.
Dose anyone have any kind of booster to improve the mobil phone service?

Don, I believe they make a booster. My Republic Wireless phone shifts to wifi as soon as it gets in range, usually seamlessly, sometimes a hiccup for a second or two. Worth it for the cheap price. IMO.

Ed, keep us posted on Ed's machine shop and fab! Many of the young engineers at work are asking me to teach a "beginner's" shop class to them. Have to practice my Norm Abrams "before operating any equipment be sure to thoroughly read and understand your equipment"... or something like that.

RNG, boat accident was not recent. Back in about 1985ish. Seems like Craigslist would just black list all the bad internet addresses one at a time.

I learned pretty early on not to dip my pen in the company ink well. Gender played no role in that particular instance, other than that there were several more qualified male candidates for the position given to the inexperienced manager. At that point things had become to political and PC, so I switched gears into another group. But that's a whole 'nuther story...

Don, there is Microcell from AT&T or this AT&T Signal Booster - WilsonAmplifiers.com

I have the newest version of Microcell and it works great, but you need to check to see what is required for it to function where you are. I no longer have AT&T and would gladly send it to you if you can use it, I got it free.

I have a Wilson cell booster here that only works for 3G because anything newer wasn't even thought of yet when I bought it. It helps, but there are still times when I get no cell service. 5G service is starting to roll out in major metro areas, and were I to purchase a new booster, I'd make sure it was 5G capable. They aren't cheap.

That sounds like it would be a satellite internet deal, Don, and is to be avoided at all cost. Your neighbors or the HOA should be able to tell you the hot setup for internet in Sun City...

I had the AT&T Microcell. When it went out about a year ago, tried to get them to replace it. AT&T said it no longer supported and I should turn on WiFi calling.

Yea, the volcano likely getting to be old news on the Mainland but still very very active here. Hundreds of houses destroyed, beginning talks about what to do. BIL drives school bus for a charter school that is located in the area, school no longer accessible so no idea what will happen when new school year starts.
