Thunderstorms came rolling thru early morning drop much needed rain for garden and lawn,now pickup back to its color of black from the rain...darn golden pollen.
Plans for today...quick trip to town than take day as it comes.
Time to feed little critters and :confused3:

Good Morning!!!! 70F @ 4:30AM. Sunny. High near 90F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Sprayed weeds for another few hours yesterday morning, mostly yellow star thistle, but also sprigs of poison oak that are springing up through the thatch. Still have to mix a batch of the BrushBGone to go after larger concentrations of poison oak, but the winds are supposed to pick up here overnight and I need calm to keep the spray from drifting.

By noon the temperatures were spiking past 90F and the little RTV was working too hard, especially when backing up the steep hillsides. I also need to fix the seat cushion, as the hinges have pulled out of the plywood base, probably from the steepness trying to pull my fat butt down hill.:laughing:

Chase bank must really be desparate for customers. Got a flyer in the mail yesterday offering to pay $500 for opening a new checking and savings account. Sounded pretty good until I read the * and ** super fine print about minimum balances, interest rates, and how long the accounts must remain open.

Also called on an old BMW being sold on Craig’s List, but it is very likely one of those too good to be true situations. Googling the phone number in the ad turned up several other vehicles, also priced well below market, all different enough so they would attract a variety of potential buyers. The sellers answers to questions like -do you have the owners manual, -are you the original owner, -is the registration current, all led to evasive answers that had me thinking about wearing a bullet proof vest to any potential meeting. Then he interrupted me in the middle of the call to say he had to call me back, and of course he never did. So today I’m going to look into one of those applications that will automatically “flag” a Craig’s List ad so many times it gets removed, and do some house cleaning on the crooked ads.:laughing: Just an old retiree doing his civic duty...

Glad you found a lathe and mill to your liking, Ed, and hope delivery and setup go smoothly for you. And most of all that they will do what you want them to, and you enjoy your new capabilities!

I was in a pretty bad boating accident. We were up in a cove with limestone walls. The gal I was dating (was an aerobics instructor and a true blonde) was skiing behind the boat. The driver liked looking at her more than where he was going, as were the other 3 guys in the boat besides myself. I was in the back spotting her while she ski'd. We ended up doing a motocross style berm shot corner off of a limestone cliff in his jet boat. We left skid marks about 15-20 above the water line. It was a glancing blow and not straight on. Fortunately, the opposite shoreline was a sandy nice beach just a 150 feet away, in which he drove the boat straight up on the sand. It was a miracle that no one got hurt. How I didn't burn myself on his exhaust headers, I'll never understand. Just another thing to thank the good Lord for.”

I crashed mine in April 1990, I did spill my beer, which played a role in the crash. We had record low moon tides, stumps we’d never seen before, it was well after dark, three of us coming up river way too fast and way too drunk honestly. My buddy was holding the big spotlight and we saw stumps near the edge but we didn’t see one and we had slipped too close to the shore to get away from it. It struck about 6 feet from the starboard stern, we flipped and were thrown out onto the tidal mud, both friends were thrown clear but my tee shirt was pinned to the mud by the side fairing. I had severely bruised ribs and a concussion. Neither friend could swim but thankfully were on the mud unhurt. The sight of a 25 foot offshore performance boat upside down will never be forgotten.

Good morning! 72˚ heading to 95˚. Whipper got a chip implant yesterday and did good with the new vet. Whipper also was able to make it around the entire block without going into default (sitting not moving).

Today the carpet people come back and finish one room that they did not have enough carpet for before we moved in and also the antenna guy will come and evaluate our place for antenna placement. He will be able to tell if we are high enough to receive channels and from where.

I would have thought AT&T cell phones would have good service here but because of the radiant roof and in a valley it is worse here than in the country and I usually have to go outside to talk or I'm cutting out.
Dose anyone have any kind of booster to improve the mobil phone service?

I was hoping EGO would have a Fasther's day sale on their blade edger but their add just mentions that it is available.

Kyle I also thought there was a woman involved with RNG's exodus from Abq. Kind of was but not in the romantic sense.

I get those frequently. My only business with them is one credit card that I almost never use, primarily because Chase has the worst website of any company I deal with. If I want to print out a statement before a bill comes, or print all the charges, it can't be done; I only get one page. I even called to talk to them about it, and they assured me it's just my computer. Funny that I don't have that problem with anyone else. But anyway I never use the Chase card for more than 3 or 4 charges in a month so they will all print on that one page.

It was something I wanted. I have a 4 year old granddaughter here that has lived with me off and on since before her birth that unfortunately isn't allowed to live more than 50 miles away from her father(divorce stuff) even though he never sees her. Her and I are so close it's unbelievable everyone says.

Kinda bothered me about the whole situation so I bought a farm with a guest cottage that I'm putting her and her single mother in right in my back yard. The father had been showing his butt since the divorce throwing his weight around on the wife.

They've told me that the dad was fit to be tied when he heard what I'd done as we kept it quiet till closing day yesterday! Hee Hee Hee.

What happens if he moves further than 50 miles away?

67 high of 86 today chance of another storm this afternoon. Not a good day yesterday lost 40 tons of asphalt loaner paver broken in huge storm. No one got hurt so all is well

Ouch is right.

I remember patching potholes for the county, we would raise dump bed to get the asphalt to slide to the tailgate, and you had to lower the bed fast when it slid, so it would stop sliding.. Well a couple times i dumped about a half load in the middle of the road. The roads were so bad though, you could easily shovel it out in a depression and never know.

That's funny. I have 2 Chase cards. One very seldom get's used. The other is my Amazon card. I do not use their internet site. I use their APP. It's one of best APP's that I use. I do get the $500 offer at least one time a month. It get's properly filed. The worst site I have used is Humana. Same problems with APP and internet sites. Old password is not active anymore. :mur:
