Lenny, you too. Hope the move is something you wanted to do. That is quite the change. I heard that Vermont or NH (one of them) was going to offer up to $10,000 in state tax incentives if you moved there, but worked out of state or worked online for an out of state company. They would give you 2 years of $5000 tax breaks for moving there.

It was something I wanted. I have a 4 year old granddaughter here that has lived with me off and on since before her birth that unfortunately isn't allowed to live more than 50 miles away from her father(divorce stuff) even though he never sees her. Her and I are so close it's unbelievable everyone says.

Kinda bothered me about the whole situation so I bought a farm with a guest cottage that I'm putting her and her single mother in right in my back yard. The father had been showing his butt since the divorce throwing his weight around on the wife.

They've told me that the dad was fit to be tied when he heard what I'd done as we kept it quiet till closing day yesterday! Hee Hee Hee.

Good morning all, 67 going to 84 with patchy fog and sunny. Going over to the storage unit and dig out some workbench legs I built a while back and have them ready to build a bench for the lathe. Going to put the mil on a tool box base I have. Hope to get a dump run in today.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 57° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with lots of sun. Yesterday after rain stopped. Neighbor texted. Wanted to know if i could do some chipping. Put chipper on tractor and went over to his place. 1 1/2 hours later had a pile of chips about 3' high. Thanks to WoodMaxx. Lawn cutting is on top of list today.

Buppies, thanks for the PSA readings. Sorry about the 40 tons of asphalt. What happens to the lost asphalt?

LS, traveled thru ABQ many times. But always stayed at RV parks on the outskirts of town. Enjoyed our stays. Did do couple of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives places while there. Good food but prices go up after being on show.

Ed, checked out the mill and lathe. They look nice.

RNG, great log of ABQ places...but what you got against McDonalds ? We've flown roundtrip through ABQ twice, but never ate or slept there...always got a rental SUV and took off...closest we slept before departing was Santa Fe. LS, is that still a safe city?

Got my first French drain finished and now need to move my trailer once the ground if dried out enough to be firm...need another load of gravel. Mowed all that needed it yesterday.

Today need to roast coffee, string trim, and backpack spray, and watch a cowboy movie.

No, not really. Just a new manager that expected people to say how high instead of why? She had far too much to learn to justify that kind of an attitude, so I had to fire her. I could have had her job, but it would have meant a transfer to ABQ, and for all the reasons Ted cited, that just was not going to happen.

Was the boat accident a recent thing, Kyle? They kill at least a few people with boats here on Shasta and Oroville Lakes every year. Most incidents involve alcohol, unfortunately, but there have been a few tragedies where people were not watching young children closely enough and they end up falling out of a boat, usually one of the large houseboats that are for rent.

Ted, have you spoken to a personal injury attorney? I hate to sound like an ambulance chaser, but your pain and suffering is significant and you could very well be left with a permanent disability as a result of your injury. A decent settlement could significantly shorten your retirement time line. Something to think about, especially now that you are being required to wear a bullet proof vest. No way I would let myself be put in that sort of situation without also being allowed to carry something with which to defend myself, and even then, it would be a stop gap until I could find someplace safer to work.
