Good morning!!!!

The low was 47* this morning, yesterday was sunny and windy. They are calling for 20-30 mph wind and a high in the mid 80's for today. It looks like we might get some rain the first part of next week.

I didn't get a hole lot done yesterday. Helped a neighbor load some stuff in a trailer and went to town to get a truck he was having work done on. We got about 5 miles from town and had to take it back to the shop, it was still over heating.

Making the weekly trip to town today. Hope to get something done when I get back.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Good morning! 72˚ heading to 95˚. Whipper got a chip implant yesterday and did good with the new vet. Whipper also was able to make it around the entire block without going into default (sitting not moving).

Today the carpet people come back and finish one room that they did not have enough carpet for before we moved in and also the antenna guy will come and evaluate our place for antenna placement. He will be able to tell if we are high enough to receive channels and from where.

I would have thought AT&T cell phones would have good service here but because of the radiant roof and in a valley it is worse here than in the country and I usually have to go outside to talk or I'm cutting out.
Dose anyone have any kind of booster to improve the mobil phone service?

I was hoping EGO would have a Fasther's day sale on their blade edger but their add just mentions that it is available.

Kyle I also thought there was a woman involved with RNG's exodus from Abq. Kind of was but not in the romantic sense.
Lenny - good move!

Don, is the new AT&T 5G Fixed Wireless available at your New place?

Here’s a link to check. AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet - Rural Internet Without a Satellite

One of our neighbors got connected and says it’s way better than the satellite system he had. He’s about 6 miles south of us. I checked the link and it says it’s not available to us yet.

We have the Excede Satellite Internet and it’s pretty crappy here.

Don, there is Microcell from AT&T or this AT&T Signal Booster - WilsonAmplifiers.com

I have the newest version of Microcell and it works great, but you need to check to see what is required for it to function where you are. I no longer have AT&T and would gladly send it to you if you can use it, I got it free.

66°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 94° today. Was nice to get back down in the 60s, but the 85% humidity kind of negated the benefit.

Lots of lightning in the tall clouds to our southeast last night when I went out to close up the chicken coop. I thought it odd that there was no thunder, so I looked at the NOAA weather radar app when I got back in the house. Those storms were down near Harrisburg IL ... which is about 85 miles as the crow flies. Those must have been some seriously tall clouds.

Never been to that museum in Effingham, Ron. Wife and I used to go to a big Native American store near there just off the St. Elmo exit, called Driftstone Pueblo. Really fun place to look around, as nearly everything in the store is hand-made by various Native American tribes. We used to buy stacks of the hand-woven blankets every winter and donate them to a homeless mission in our hometown of Granite City. We haven't been there for a couple of years, but were just talking about it a couple weeks ago. Maybe a stop at that museum will be in order on our next trip.

There's also a neat museum called the American Farm Heritage Museum near Greenville IL on I-70 at IL-127. Lots of old tractors and implements, and a narrow gauge train they use for tours around the place.

My new Ping 5 wood was delivered yesterday, a day earlier than promised. Kudos to the USPS. I may or may not get to use it this weekend, as it's supposed to be 97°F both Saturday and Sunday. Not much chance I'll be getting in any golf in those temps.

There's an old saying to "Keep the rubber side down" for motorcycles. I assume there is something similar for you boating guys. Be safe out there.

70°F and .24 inches rain

BIL and his gf want us to meet them at Pizza Hut for lunch

Making progress with my “piles”. Another bench top discovered. Can’t believe I let it get this bad.

Nice to see the return of our missing posters.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Chase bank must really be desparate for customers. Got a flyer in the mail yesterday offering to pay $500 for opening a new checking and savings account. Sounded pretty good until I read the * and ** super fine print about minimum balances, interest rates, and how long the accounts must remain open.

About 7:41 a.m. this morning, I posted that I also get them. Well, the mail just came, and brought me another one. I know the next door neighbor also got one. It makes me wonder how much Chase spends on printing and postage for such things.

Bird, no wonder they want to charge so many fees on everything just to pay for their marketing costs...

Heat index went over 100, I started to feel it hoeing and weeding for quite a while, then I mowed lawn for two hours.
By then, just miserable out, though if one could stay in the shade, when the breeze picks up, it's quite nice.

Ran the disc over most of the corn field to get rid of that weed infested mess, I always enjoy playing in the dirt.
And then with all kinds of folks showing up on Saturday to dig the last of the potatoes, some prep work for that to be done.
Mostly loading ice, water and drinks into coolers, though obviously waiting on ice.

Decided to get four 18" pizzas from a really good local pizza place which will be less than half the cost of last time's hoagies to feed this crew.
