Poured second cup of coffee. 44° with light rain this morning. Heading to 65° with cloudy skies all day. Sure is wet here. Dumped over 3" of rain out of rain gauge this morning. Collected since Friday at noon. Need to get some items pulled out of storage and get them ready for sale on EBAY. Like my listings to end on a Sunday evening. That's about it for today's projects.

Don, I do have to laugh about the Tofu. Also known as bean curd. Glad it tasted good. I did a search for Coral snakes eating Copperheads after my post. No wonder you have large ones on your place. Forgot to post it.

RS, continue your recovery and get rid of the smokes. Lost a good friend recently from smoking. His was cancer.

Happy Mother's Day...to all you mothers!

34 right now...high about 70.
Well, main plan is to finish up assembling the chipper....hope I can get my neighbor over for a couple hours. If I can't get another set of hands today (due to Mother's Day), I'll hold off finishing the assembly until next week. My back is a bit achy from yesterday and I don't want to chance screwing it up worse then it is.
After that...prep for tomorrow's work related trip to Connecticut.

Am a bit concerned over oil pressure on Super A when hot. After two hours of working hard in the hot sun, it shows
very little oil pressure. No smoke, no sign of distress, no knocks but worrisome.

I think the low pressure you are seeing on gauge in normal. Was that reading at idle or full throttle? My 1959 Farmall 340 was about the same.

Drew, if that tractor was mine, I'd go up a notch on the oil viscosity.

Did a bit of hand weeding and watering in the garden. Of 6 recently planted watermelon seedlings, half don't look like they'll make it....not sure why, they all looked the same and rec'd the same treatment.

Also, need to figure out how to germinate/grow asparagus seed pods.

New battery for 4310 arrived, need to go put it in before church.

Kendall 40weight racing oil if they still make it work well in my 390 GT years ago. I looked them up and they do still exist good stuff although I now use amsoil 5w15 in diesel trucks below ton and a quarter and 15w40 in dump trucks. Buy in 55 gallon drums so price not so bad

It was 36* this morning, rained off and on all day yesterday. I got up to sunny skies this morning but they are saying a 60% chance of more showers this afternoon. The high will be in in the mid 50's and some wind.

Going to see if I can beat the rain and work on the neighbors fence.

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High 77F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

I’m with Kyle, Drew: Up the viscosity of that oil. Valvoline VR-1 is another one that’s available in straight weights; I used 40wt in the old BMW.

Spoke to soon on the 17” MacBook Pro; applied a software update this morning and it freaked out again. Won’t boot from backup thumb drive, so I’ll try pulling the SSD again to see if it’ll come back with it out of the system.

Had better luck with the Yamaha yesterday and got it running again. Then spent several hours making a special screwdriver to adjust the idle air mixture screw. It was a LOT easier when I figured out I was trying to go into the wrong hole on the carb, which more or less prevented the screw from being adjusted. Bad eyes and a really awkward position on the bottom of the carb are to blame... Finished up by draining all the fuel out of both tank and carb, so it should be ready go to next time when needed.

Got word that both of the gears in the 5th gear set are roached in the big BMW dirt bike, but it looks like they’re available from several German sources for a lot less money than what 4th cost for the Vanagon.

Today it’s the newest BMW’s turn to get polished up and videoed for a Tuesday ebay debut. Hope it goes easier than it did with the Yamaha; it’s been sitting almost as long.

I have a couple herniated disks now...back's been bad since the early 90's and I've already been flat on my back a couple times (from a couple weeks to a couple months). I tend to push myself harder then I should sometimes...typical male stubbornness, I guess.

Had my mom and a sister and BIL and 2 sons/1 wife and wife and niece/husband new baby and other relatives here for cookout yesterday. Good time and lots of leftovers, but was hot out yesterday. Resting up today...may take son and wife to Tex-Mex for Mother's Day lunch.

Heavy storms last night, I stayed over at Ellen’s and came home to planters blown over and into the driveway, but at least it finally rained!
Yesterday we went to my grandsons ballgame, a car show benefiting Alzhiemers, and to an outdoor concert last night. Still recovering today!��

RS, hope you recover quickly, Mom had that done when she was 92, she’s 95 and no more problems.
