Happy Victory in Europe day (WWII)! Or as it is called here "Triumph over fascism day"; otherwise known as the holiday to plant potatoes on if you didn't get them planted last week on labor day!

Last week I got the adapter made for my Goldoni to use the YABE mulching mower with it, just to find out that the Goldoni PTO turns the wrong way. It turns out not to be a problem, as the internals of the gearbox on the mower allow for easy reversal of direction of rotation. Today I tested it before the rain came.

Now its a good time to work on the computer and get our organizations' mailings lists in line with EU GDPR directive. Thanks internet-illiterate Brussels for adding a huge compliance burden to small businesses and organizations...

This weekend is Gloria's baptism, confirmation, and first communion rite.

As you can tell by lack of posts, things have gotten really busy with warm spring (summer like heat on May 2nd when we planted potatoes) and having 4 kids.

Good morning! Whisp of clouds in a blue sky this morning, 63˚ heading to the high 80s.
Right before my parents got sick last year they got their corn field sprigged with coastal grass. It looked like it did not take and my cousin's kid who does hay thought it needed re-spriging. I had it check out by a government man on the equip program to see if it qualified for a land resource program that is available when crop land is converted. he assured us that it did not, good news for mom. The program offers an assistance for conservation but only about half of the expenses.

Good morning!
It'll be sunny and warm (90 deg F) down here today.
Yesterday was an exercise in futility when it comes to tractor and AC. I'll need to get a new hydraulic hose for my steering cylinder before I can get that going. My upstairs AC is not doing well and I just got a new one installed a couple months ago. I've gotta get all this fixed soon.

A friend at work gave me a couple wild piglets (20 lbs each). It's time for Cochon de l'ait. I definitely will enjoy these pigs.

50 earlier when I went outside. Getting up to a crystal clear 76.

That Woodward Cruise looks great.

Cajun, what a huge deck...makes sense that you are sore.

Don, remember, the Americas used to be connected to Europe/Africa...continental drift is still underway...plus the ground is probably tilting in Texas due to the weight of all the high-tax-state people moving there :). Glad you have a Pileated...I named one of my deer stands the Pileated Stand due to Pileated nest hole in the tree nearby.

Rick, cute fawn pic...I have an area I avoid mowing just now due to a rabbit nest there.

LS, hope your back is better.

Buppies I was out there sneezing, too, using my string trimmer and mowing.

Drew, lettuce looks great. Hope you get that Jag to a good home soon.

I've got some updated fox kit photos to share as soon as I can finish lookingthrough them, transfer to the PC, then upload to TBN...plus some other critters passing by the den.

I mowed along the road yesterday for the first time this year and filled a large bag with litter...hey! I heard you guys complaining about finding baby diapers and was always jealous :) but I found my first one after 33 years here. Also found a neatly tied plastic grocery bag full of cans and bottles that had been thrown out...nice that they were so neat so they get the Gold Medal for best presentation. Found a couple of food bags and cartons printed in Spanish...don't know what was in them...and someone must be a chain smoker of Marlboro lights. I honestly don't think I have ever littered. I've even driven back and picked up stuff that blew out of my pickup bed. But I'm sure I do other annoying stuff. I think I got some brownie point when the sheriff drove slowly by while I was picking up.

Heading to fill up a can of diesel, test drive a zero turn, and hit the gym. Then go over to the pasture and do some bush hogn.

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 5:30AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 83F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

A weak low pressure system moves through today and tomorrow keeping temps in the 80s, but it’s looking like the first 90s will arrive for the weekend. Typical May weather where it gets hot enough to boil the water out of all the grasses and kick off our wildfire season.

In preparation I started cutting down a large sage plant that I put in too close to the house, and between the gas chain saw and hedge clipper, got it cut down to the ground. The hedge clipper wasn’t cooperating at all, and only would run for a few seconds after the primer bulb was goosed. It seems the hundred and fifty dollar repair job last week missed the mark. Unless it’s still “bad gas”, but I mixed up a new batch and the chainsaw didn’t seem to have any issues with it. I’ll try one more batch with some fresher high test gas and see how that goes today. Still have several other sage bushes that really need a haircut.

50°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 82° today. Looks like we have some potential storms moving in early tomorrow morning. Good old Spring in the Midwest. We'll be around 90° for the rest of the week, then back to 80° by Sunday.

Amazing picture, Rick. One of the reasons I keep the bucket low and go slow when mowing the pasture. Been better lately about not letting it get too tall.

The low was 34* this morning, yesterday was in the upper 70's and windy. Today is going to be in the low 70's, sunny with the wind 10-20 mph.

I worked on the neighbors fence some yesterday. And power washed the watershed, I'm going to paint it in the next week are so.

Going make a trip to Rock Springs with a neighbor this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Good morning to all! Low about 50, going up to 78. The low pressure system out by RNG is keeping our wind down to a breeze, but also allowing the temps to go up. Weather guessers say temp might get up to 90 by the end of the week. Then dropping almost 20 degrees by Sunday.

Knee is doing very good this morning, only a little pain with certain movements. Great news is the back pain is almost gone. Just one small area of "tightness".

Rick, awesome pic, just too cute!

Buppies, hope your recovery continues w/o any difficulties.

Randy, nice car! You know red is the fastest color, right?

Don, maybe if the compass is off, it will help change the weather patterns here in the SW? Just hoping?

Wngsprd, sorry to hear "civilization" has reached your neck of the woods. It's a shame that people are so disrespectful these days...

RNG, sage is a tough plant...been there doing the same thing. If I ever get out that way, I will surely take you up on getting on the tractor!

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent out, hope they're working for those in need. Thank you guys for all of yours, they're working for me!
