Cars wife and I really like them and we have had numerous types some good some bad but at this stage in our life comfort is very important dependability and dealers who can take care of you if a problem develops. The British make beautiful cars still have quirks but overall pretty good vehicles. German cars hard to beat in ride and technology especially the big boys ie Mercedes and BMW Porsche etc. US manufacturers trucks are my limits as that's what I've owned. Japanese cars and SUVs we've owned several over the years interiors weak wear out pretty quick in our experience but do get one from point a to b.
Have personally tried Bentley, Aston Martin , Audi , MGB , Triumph Lamborghini and lots of others true the years. The younger years ride not so important now it is
Prayers for those in need
Buppies, I’d agree with your assessment of cars in general, the electrical problems MB experienced for about 15 years hurt their rep and resale. They seem to have gotten past that in the last 5-10 years.
I will say that I viewed Korean cars as you described Japanese cars, until I drove my Borrego. Excellent leather, electronics work perfectly down to the automatic tilt/telescope column. Best GPS I’ve ever had aftermarket or factory and the voice recognition is superb. Being a southern boy that’s important! And the 340 h.p. V8 does a great burnout if you turn off the ESC. FOR A 9 year old vehicle that I expected to be a gap filler, I’ve been impressed. And the 7500lb tow rating is no joke either.
I’m only saying all this because I never dreamed I’d like a KIA, let alone own one.
