Ellen wears a little makeup to work and church, as well as fanciers outings, but not for mowing, fishing, horseback riding and such. I never know the difference because I don’t care, but I try to tell get how nice she looks all dressed up. Honestly she’s way sexier in her tight jeans on horseback. I usually ride Jack the mule, I’m more a Festus kind of guy!

Right on, Randy! I've always believed if a woman looks great in jeans and a t-shirt, she'll look great in anything. Personally, that's my favorite look anyway.

Dinner is mostly used in the South of this country for the evening meal. There they call their mid-day meal "lunch".

Those names may be recognised by the rest of us, however people raised in the North have different names for our meals. Our "dinner" is eaten mid-day and our evening meal is called "tea" (regardless of what you drink). A meal or snack eaten late in the evening is a supper.

Both North & South agree that the first meal of the day is called breakfast and few things are tastier (or artery clogging ?) than a "Full English Breakfast".
How to Make Breakfast Like a Brit - Anglophenia Ep 32 - YouTube Don, don't worry, I'm only eating cereals :)

Lost me at the kidney sausage...and the seaweed oatmeal didn't look too good.

Eric- Are Cumberland sausages all beef instead of a mix of meats? I like the English cut of bacon. I never developed a taste for "bangers"; something in the spice mix is disagreeable.

RNG- Thanks for the link. I enjoy reading this research stuff and researching topics raised here.

An interesting time at the vets this PM. As with a lot of dog rescues one really knows what to expect regarding the dog being rescued. Brogen probably does not have MMM, but rhabdomyolosis which raises questions as to the dog's history and he may be 5 yo instead of 3 as reported. What was not surprising was the required 4 on 1 for nail clipping, ear cleaning, and bloodwork. The vet techs and I have been this route quite few times with a few other dogs together in the past. Brogen never had a chance, although he gave a decent kung foo exhibition of paw/other paw trying to fend off his "assailants." He reportedly chases cats. Although he was videoed being a "good dog" with other St.B.'s on Facebook, he was not so "friendly" with a little male dog in the vets' waiting room. I was able to redirect 151 pounds of "B" w/o problems. He's losing his "jewels" once he is more settled which should bring his weight down a couple of "pounds."

We are trying to get more history of this dog other than a vaccination slip from the vet who vaccinated him.

Ed- It takes time to "process" everything, and everyone does it in their own way w/i their own timeframes. Hang in there.

That's the news.

I may have posted this before, but when I was growing up we had breakfast, dinner, and supper (and NO eating between meals). I guess I was grown before I ever ate "lunch". Breakfast ALWAYS included eggs (fried or scrambled) and biscuits (my Dad did NOT eat any of that store bought bread until I was 16 years old). There was milk to drink, sometimes some fruit juice. There might, or might not, be any bacon or sausage. But there was always several cereal choices; Post Toasties, Wheaties, Cheerios, Shredded Wheat, Raisin Bran, Grape Nuts. Cereal with sugar and milk (personally I preferred very thick cream) was considered the "dessert" after the eggs and biscuits.

Waffles and/or pancakes were for supper; never for breakfast.

It never rained here, only very windy blowing dust and pollen around so I didn't stay outside very long.
81 and sunny, row temp 72 degrees
I really wanted that rain to set the corn. Really do not feel like watering it.

Going to take some pak choy I picked today and try over gas grill.
I hosed down the back porch this afternoon so I could walk to the grill in bare feet
without getting coated in pollen. Tomorrow I hose off the front porch. Hopefully this wave of pine
pollen is now passed.

We had breakfast, dinner and supper. Breakfast was eggs and sausage or bacon, all home grown with home made biscuits. Dinner was leftover biscuits beef or deer, two veg and potatoes. Supper was Beef or deer two veg and potatoes with a moist corn bread made in a cast iron skillet. Chicken was for sunday lunch with home made rolls. and fish was a breakfast food. We grew it all an even got our wheet and corn ground at the mill. Ed
