Good morning!!!!

Good Morning!!!! 63F @ 5:00AM. Generally cloudy. High 62F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.

Looks like we'll pick up a half inch of rain this evening, almost four inches Friday, then the sunshine is back for Sunday and Monday. We need the rain, but Friday may be a little too much of a good thing!

Good news that Brogen got through his examination without any major problems being discovered, Jay. Better keep quiet about his next visit, though. It might take another 4-in-1 to get him into the car.

If April showers bring May flowers, what do April SNOW showers bring, Bill? Hope you folks up north get to thawing out soon!

Had many fine English breakfasts back in '85 when I toured for a month there on a Norton motorcycle. Never did get used to fried tomatoes on the plate though, and that tea had me looking for a restroom less than an hour after finishing. The best food in England had to be their fine ales, at least back then. Not sure what the situation is after the Budweiser invasion though.

If this tariff stuff turns out not to be a big bluff, I think we're all in for a shock at just how much stuff comes from China these days.

Got the timing dialed in on the old motorcycle yesterday, first with a static setting, then bumping in a little more advance once it was running and I could use a timing light. Was able to get a nice steady and slow idle, but I'm hearing a bit of a miss at high RPMs. Probably points bounce, which I can live with until I can sort out the 12 volt conversion/flywheel stuff. Today the fuel tank has to come off one more time so I can adjust the rear mount for the steering damper, then it'll be time to see how it does out on the road. So tomorrow is the day to wait in line at the DMV to get some stickers for the license plate; maybe the heavy rain that is forecast wil help shorten the line?

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

If you all are wondering where all the lemons went, I HAVE THEM.

We returned from NYC a while back, it was not a good trip, but the diagnosis and recovery for my wife is still the same - long term (one year).

She is doing better each day. A little more independent and maneuverable.

Unfortunate the stress of this has put immense pressures on the family as a whole. So I am dealing with other stuff now too.

We are also in appeal processing with - insurance. You can dot your I's and cross your T's, but seems some accountants and paper pushers look to seek out savings on their sides wherever they can. Odd that my company claimed all was covered and then denies the claims months later. Such is life.

I have also returned to work full-time. And, again, unfortunate, but I have sold most of my farming equipment. I still have my mowers and UTV's, but probably will sell the UTV's shortly. I have made arrangements for my lease partners to help me out this year as we stumble through the coming season.

I hope all are doing well, prayers and good fortunes to you.

I plan on having a lemonade sale within the next three months. I think it would do good to focus on my wife's incredible journey and boost her spirits for the remaining year.

Have a wonderful day, thank you for thinking of us.....

You have been very much in all our thoughts, Mike. I wish circumstances were better for you and your wife, but you seem to have your priorities straight with regard to her. All you can do is take it a day at a time and deal as best you can with life hands you. No one can ask more or do better than that. Know that we're all pulling for you and yours, and we all wish you the best in the difficult times ahead.

Mike- Welcome back. You were missed. Thank you for sharing. Good luck with the insurance appeal and your consolidation :(. You and your wife deserve better. "... I think it would do good to focus on my wife's incredible journey and boost her spirits for the remaining year."- Riptides You are not alone. Hang in there- J

Sunny, cold low 20F's with winds 10 - 20 mph gusting to 30mph. Windchill this morning = single digits. Snow forecast here tomorrow changing over to rain. Snowfall accumulations prior to melting are predicted 3" - 5". A possible weather system April 7 - 8. Spring warmup for the NE starting in mid April.

RNG- I agree. Trade wars do not work, selectively help producers, and never help the consumer. It's basic economics- the law of "Supply and Demand" applies. It's cash warfare among governments. The cash flow stays there. China specifically targeted USA soybean producers. That will be a big hit......... Poor Brogen.

Eric- Thanks for the clarifications.

I hope LS is on recovery mode and has not gotten into trouble yet.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all; especially the Mrs.'s

I hope everyone has a decent day today.

So relieved to read your post, you had us worried.

Let us know about your mowers and UTV's, I'm sure some of us local would buy from you.

Best wishes for your wife.

It was 29* this morning when I got up. Yesterday was mostly cloudy and windy. Today is going to be about the same, overcast, windy and in the mid 50's. The snow is slowly melting but it will still be awhile before its all gone.

Happy anniversary to Buckeyefarmer.

Helped the neighbor get his four wheeler out the snow yesterday. It surprised me that he could drive it that far on crusted snow that was two feet deep. Ended up going back and getting his skid steer to dig it out. He was about 30 yds off the road.

Making the weekly trip to town today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

29°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 59° today. Mucho frost on the windshield this morning.

Some guy on the radio this morning who claims to be a local meteorologist (someone who studies meteors?) suggested we may get as much as 2-4" of snow Friday evening, then more on Sunday. I'm really ready for some warmer weather already.

Happy Anniversary, Mr. & Mrs. BEF.

Good to hear from you again, Mike. You've been missed here.

Good morning to all! Low of 42, going up to 68. No rain, no nothing. Going to get windy starting tommorow thru Sunday.

Welcome back Mike! Glad to here the Mrs is still recovering and improving slow but sure. You are doing the right thing...she needs your help. It is rediculous how insurance companies can just change the rules whenever they want. Prayers out to you and the Mrs, hang in there, it will work out

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Mr and Mrs Buckeye!

I'm behaving myself so far after surgery. It took 2 1/2 hours longer than expected. Dr took out multiple pieces of broken meniscus. Showed me the pics, but was way to groggy to really see. Unbelievable how the pain I was enduring was gone! Naturally there is the surgical pain / swelling, but that is nothing in comparison! The doc prescribed Percocet and they gave me 2 just before leaving the hospital. Now I really know I'm 'different'... Post op they said that I'd be 'groggy' for a day or two.. Figured probably true especially with the Percocet.... No way... Woke up and stayed up! Laid in bed from 9:30 last night wide awake until the last time looking at the clock at 04:00....hardly any pain, only a slight ache...just wide awake! Up at 06:00, maybe a nap later...maybe not a good idea...then won't sleep again tonight!
Anyway the doc said "good success", can bear light, intermittent weight today and slowly increase to full by Sunday, barring any complications / difficulties. I then asked him: "cool, so I can start building the new house by Monday ?" He just chuckled. I'm not going through this again, so I'll behave.;) (maybe);)

Jay- maybe that was some good news about Brogen? Not as bad as previously thought?

RNG- SOUNDS like a big step forward...literally...Congrats

For all those needing prayers... They are out! Everyone have a safe enjoyable day.

70°F and no rain. A pretty morning

Nothing major planned for the day other than a bit of studying for my Ham Tech. Must be getting old, some of the more technical stuff doesn’t seem to be sticking but my practice exams are getting better.

Prayers for all

Be safe
Have a great day

LS- I am glad to see you posting again. I got wired on Precasts too. I wonder if there is caffeine in the Tylenol's composition? Some NSAID's have caffeine. I stopped it because it messed with my lungs and and worse my GI system. I preferred the discomfort to "binding up."

Brogen's care is "easier" with our vet's diagnosis. There are no auto-immune allergic reactions and kibble size does not matter. We feed our dogs "grain free" canned mixed with a decent quality dry feed with easy to digest grains, grain free, or limited ingredient as needed by the dog(s). I made myself even crazier researching different "healthy" dog food out (again).

RIP, welcome back. Tough to sell equipment. Best wishes for wifes recovery.

I know i went thru a lot of "what ifs" after my surgery and slow healing. I contemplated early retirement, selling a tractor, etc.., but it somehow worked out.

LS, glad surgery went well.

Glad to hear the surgery went well, Ted. If you're still feeling as chipper tomorrow when the meds wear off, you'll know you're on the right track. Whatever you do, listen to your body and follow doctor's orders, OK? That'll maximize your chances for a full recovery and fastest healing, but one false move could set you back weeks or even months. The general they gave you put your bowl to sleep, too, and it sometimes takes a day or two to wake up again. As Jay mentioned, the opioid pain meds tend to come with a constipation side effect, so you get a double whammy. Keep that in mind before you tear into your first big meal before things get back to normal. Oh, but wait, you're a medical pro, so all this stuff is probably old hat to you, right? Knowing and doing are two different things, so maybe a reminder doesn't hurt, huh?:D

Really good to hear from two "missing" Good Morning!!!! thread buddies in the same morning! Almost like a family reunion.
