Hmm, so no one knows why the flags were half mast yesterday. Looks like w'ell have to call in on Investigator Buckeye.

I always say half mast also Eric, Half staff just sounds like a short walking stick. But according to the military masts are on boats and staffs are on land.

Good morning! a warm 71˚ before sunrise and cloudy. Warm weather and a big rain coming tomorrow, Drew does not have a chance in the big potato race, unless deer jump my 4' fence while Whipper is sleeping.

Funny Rick that's where my wife saw the flag at half mast and asked me what was going on. The flag at the Giddings fire station was also half mast while the Bank and Library were not.

It made me look out for other flags on my trip back thru Columbus and out to Ranch. I saw no others lowered.

Displaying Flag at Half-Staff

This is a guide, not law.

Flags were ordered lowered to half staff honoring the passing of Reverend Billy Graham on March 2, 2018. To my knowledge, that was the last “official” order.

From sellers explanation Amazon chose him to be my seller from a list of people selling a similar PTO shaft. The pictures and description are from another seller. Leaves me leery of some of Amazons practices. But all is good this time.

That sounds suspect to me. Every product in the Amazon universe has a unique description page with unique number. I think it is likely the other way around, that he either in error or intentionally hooked himself in to that listing. I've also seen some dodgy stuff with Amazon listings where, let's say a flashlight, is offered in different colors, but one of the colors is actually a different flashlight altogether.

Good "morning"!

I just drove the tractor up the hill (after attaching a seatbelt) and survived. ;-)

A couple of years ago a big farmer friend helped me by going with his tractor to pick up 8 tons of lime. We put it in a pile in my field, and I got some of the liming done, and the rest left covered with a plastic sheet. It still soaked up water from the bottom. Now I moved about half of it on top of a plastic sheet and covered it with another. I hope in a couple of months it will be dried out.

Tried pulling limbs and such, wasn't so succesful and it seems clamping down on a log managed to bend the bucket:

Now I've gotta go fix our vermicomposting system. Perhaps the worms froze or got drowned during the winter, so its a bit of an unpleasant mess. The ground around the system has a lot of the red worms that escaped though, so at least I can restock it without ordering more.

Hope y'all all are having a pleasant spring! I'm now quite busy with everything here!

I don't know about you guys who took so long to marry your gal. I met my wife one night in July, then didn't see her again until October or November, and married her the next April; so about 9 months from first meeting until marriage. Of course, the night when we first met, when we left that house, I told my partner, "I think I"ll just marry that girl." And I did.:D

When I first met my wife-- on the streets of Paris at a march while I was studying in Metz with Georgia Tech-- I didn't have any romantic inclinations toward her. But that summer I worked for her small NGO, and one thing led to another... We married exactly a year from when we first kissed, a year and 9 months from when we met.
