May not be fun driving down I-95, with or without Cruise.

Got a routine dermatologist appointment today, so will be one of the nuts out driving...at least I'll be on back roads and not on Interstates where slow poke Subarus are driving with Cruise control .

Randy, congrats on the car/date. Not sure which one made you happier. Now, get back to your garage clean up! Need a place to put that Monte Carlo.

Got the last of the firewood split, but didn't get around to cutting up that log I pulled up hill, which I wanted to finish before the snow...oh well, it will be gone soon.

Coffee has finished brewing. 13° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 37° with some snow around lunch. Spent most of yesterday watching Indy and NASCAR racing. Ready for another PT visit. Then off to a visit with financial adviser. Not much going to happen there. But he always has good coffee.

Looking, I kept my boats in Canada for over 20 years. Tillbury, Erieau and Port Darlington. Great fishing places. Always had a list of parts to bring over for my fellow boaters. Prices were much cheaper in the states and no 15% sales tax. My wish while there was to do the Trent Severn. But never made it.

It is not a river. But a connection of Lakes, Rivers and Canals. Going from Port Severn on Georgian Bay off Lake Huron to Trenton on Bay of Qunite off Lake Ontario.

I thought that you are not suppose to set the cruise control when it's raining?

If I have my wipers on intermittent, I'm liable to be on cruise.

I probably use cruise control more than anyone else; even on some 30 mph city streets at times. But NEVER if the street is wet. Of course I also supervised the safety officers on the police department, and I received a 20 consecutive years safe driving award myself. And before I became a police officer, I drove a school bus one year, drove a Dallas taxicab parttime when I was working for the Post Office in Dallas, and I drove a Post Office delivery panel wagon in the Plano Post Office.

Is the geometry wrong for a siphon?

Unfortunately it is, gravity won't help me much with this one, the run from the pond up to the tank is slightly uphill

Probably not a bad thing, my topper (aka bush hog) has skimmed over the pipe I hope to use for filling on more than one occasion. I discovered the hard way a while ago that siphons have little tolerance for air holes, whereas a few water leaks on a lightly pressurised surface pipe only make the grass greener.

I've no DST to blame as they don't mess with our clocks for another week, just been out for an early morning check up at the dentist. Although my hearing is starting to fail, that high speed whine of their air tools sounds as penetrating as ever, even though I only needed a polish.

When I was younger, the only time we saw brazil nuts was as at Christmas. I enjoyed cracking them out of their shells far more than their taste.

They always reminded me of a picture I'd seen of the underbelly of a whale. Ate whale meat once while in Norway. Give me Brazil nuts any day over that - even if they have gone slightly rancid :laughing:

I found a new supplier for stuff for my boat. A Canadian company, YES!
Marine and Boat Electric Pump - Bilge Pumps - Electric in Canada
Now I can get the stuff I need for the boat to make it legal again. All except for flares. Those I will get locally. Yes, I will Break Out Another Thousand. Next year when I come off the highway and go back into the city, I want to have a boat to enjoy.

I think that Monte Carlo would look better with a set of stock size Cragars or Centerlines on it. The 20" rims and low pros make it look goofy.

Ron, I always wanted to float the Moose river. The Polar Bear Express train goes from Cochrane to Moosonee. About half way you get off of the train and float the moose river up to Saint James bay and back down to Moosonee. You will likely see no one but your own group for the whole trip. The trees are very stunted up there and they say a 200 year old tree could be I think 6 ft tall. I was a teen when I rode the train up.

I had it when I was young. I changed my diet to always include fruits, apples, oats, and lots of green stuff. I still eat meat, basically, anything I want, but I always eat some fiber sometime during the day. Moderation in all things....
