Eric, good to know that the newer ones are of a higher quality. I find that the 320 / 321 are kind of funny looking with their wheel sizes. Rear is 95 cm diameter, front is 70cm, almost equal size. But I'm not really sure how much its going to matter. I just hope my friend gets back to me that he has time for me to go up there and test drive his to get a feel for it.

Frozen and overcast here, so perfect for driving the Transporter with a trailer over a dirt road to get the hay from the guy I bought sheep from last week.

My father in law is having a minor surgery in another city, so my mother-in-law came this morning. While waiting for her at the bus stop by the highway I snapped a photo of the Slovak-Ukraine border. Lighting isn't that great. On days with the sun out you can see the copper roof of the Greek Catholic church and the gold roof of the Orthodox church on the Ukranian side shining. There is a Slovak village right before the border, and all the big buildings are part of the border crossing. Unfortunately, getting back across the border often takes hours. We have the funny situation of feeling like we live in the middle of nowhere when in fact just across that border is the sizable city of Uzghorod (I notice the forum doesn't support the extra letters used in Slovak!).

Nice to be back below the freezing point again at 31 with stars and a nice moon just setting. Should have sun all day and get to 60.

Plan to get the chain saw out this morning and take down a large sweetgum and a tuliptree that are encroaching on some sugar maples. I've found that after letting gums and poplars dry long enough, they burn pretty clean and warm...not oak, but they get the job done...and with a gas splitter now, I can finally split the gum. Also plan to try my new chain sharpener on a couple more chains.

farmer, hope you get well soon.

Buppies, any of that March storm gonna bring snow over this way?

Drew, you need a rest...today would be a nice day to drive the Jag out cruisin' maybe to New Bern.

Brrrr here too, 36 out, this is a week of much lower temps, around freezing posted for three nights, have no idea how veggies will like that.

Off early this morning now that rain has stopped to deliver a loaner riding mower to a friend. 28 hours of use in two years. Friend wipes down mower after every use, very appreciative of not pushing a little mower at our ages.

I transplanted almost 500 onions and I don't think many are going to make it. Just little hairs sticking out, garden looks bare. So....saw some onion sets at Tractor Supply, bought 80 onions that way and planted them yesterday as the rain started to come down lightly. Came in with a wet back when done. At least it looks like proper onions now...
Have reached a good appreciation of what Bonnie Bell does to get such nice fat plants for sale. Only way to get them that way is to have a greenhouse; my living room sunroom was just for this first year.

I think if I don't freeze everything this week the biggest danger is past.

beans planted in cold or wet ground will rot.
need to be patient....three 80 degree days just passed have spoiled us all.

Ed, Buppies and all others under the weather, hope you feel better.

Need a second cup of coffee. 24° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 57° with mostly sunny skies. Yesterday was nice. High temp was 51°. But there are still spots that snow has not melted. Today should be end of them. Back and leg are feeling much better after yesterday PT. Got the itch to do some projects outside. Luckily my back has got me under control. Every time I walk by garden pond I see a dead bull frog laying on bottom of pond. Would like to get it out of pond before it rots the whole pond.

Glad to see everyone is starting to get better.

Some still need those prayers. Sending mine.

Good Morning All.

Thomas I did not mean to be cryptic Wednesday will allow models to get a full understanding of what and where this first storm is going to do. Very complex and might have a few tricks up it sleeve. What this first storm does sets up the second one

Wow what an uptake! 28° this morning. Near 60 later. Breakfast with 4-5 friends this morning. Then hopefully lights come in today. No seat time lately so I might move some dirt from my pit. First I have to get my lazy butt moving.

OK everyone, GET WELL! God bless you guys!

I forgot to mention, if this mornings 28 doesn’t kill the grass, I may have to mow the earliest I ever have, I have 6 inch grass and wild onions.

LMBO, looking out back there was a big fox and a tomcat about 20 feet apart just sitting there. The cat goes over and sticks his nose to the fox and they both jumped up and started running, cat went under new building and the fox was still running across the open meadow in the back until he got out of sight! Best entertainment I’ve had lately!

Good morning! 60˚ this morning.

Buckeye you should be a detective, you figure things out pretty fast and RNG figured out why I didn't post it. Next time I'll PM Kyle and he can just report that everything is OK and info later. Now don't forget this post next year Ron. Oh by the way, at one seminar a Dr. reported a research study in Chicago that was done on elderly with a high fat and a low fat diet. The low fat diet displayed better memory and cognitive skills. Also another bit of info - absolutely no carbohydrates that you eat turns into body fat. Only the fat you eat turns into body fat.

They are also finding out that if you stress you body by fasting your stem cells kick in and your body repairs it's self. I will be researching this further for my knee. The Doctor recommended this type of modified (low calorie 5 day) fasting. ProLon - Intermittent Fasting Diet - The Fasting Mimicking Diet I have a message in to them and have to be interviewed by a Dr. before they will send out a package. If interested I'll post my experience and results.
