Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 9:15AM. Mostly sunny. High near 65F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph.
Burn ban's been in effect the past several days due to the lack of rain. It doesn't apply to campfires, though. It was a very nice, calm evening yesterday and with the wood pile all dried out I enjoyed a campfire for a few hours. Oak and manzanita lights easy when it's dry, and it felt good sitting outside with just a t-shirt for a change.
CWB, you may end up saving a marriage by helping that poor husband friend of yours find all his stuff when he comes back.
Don't give up, Randy. With Christmas bills and taxes on everyone's mind, there will be more and more cars on the market as we head into spring.
Should have another batch of motorcycle parts delivered this morning, so it's another garage day. Yesterday I worked on a couple ball bearing and spring detents that were missing. I was able to get one of the balls staked back into its hole, but the material around the edge of the other hole was missing. Ended up having to make a tiny shouldered sleeve, drilling out the old hole, and epoxying the whole mess back together. Since it was under spring tension, the chuck on the lathe is holding it in place against the spring tension, and I dare not try to take it out until tomorrow so the epoxy has a good chance to set up. Be glad when that one's over.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
