good morning, 54 going to 69 wet outside but not much rain overnight

Infusion this afternoon for wife. Should provide some relief. Usually takes a couple of days to have some effect on her pain and discomfort

Did some tinkering in the welding shop. The old belt sander was destroying belts. Had not used in a long time but found that there was an adjustment for belt tracking that likely was off center. Works just like on larger belt sanders

Had a good discussion with D. She has set up a Limited Liability Company and landed first jobs

Picking up groceries as well this morning

Good Tractor Morning Steve,

I think it will prove the same to me but like anything else I need to try it and understand it 😉

I know a lot of my CW friends have a picture of a guy sitting in front of a wall on their QRZ page, with a FT8 sign and a circle with a line drawn through it. 😉😂. My real love is CW, and I don’t see that changing 😉 I actually got the manual out on my Yaesu yesterday and made 2 SSB contacts. One on 40m and one on 20m. I bumped the power up to 100w, I normally run 50w when running POTA or portable. Just wanted to make sure it was working. 😉 Have a good day Steve 🙏
I have seen those signs I guess I need one! Spend some time on Winlink it could save you when the going gets tough! CW is great BUT not for those who you may need to contact who don't know CW. With Winlink you can send emails to anyone with an email address and all over HF. Good for the Tool Box.

Good morning TBN!!
48 this morning. High of upper 70s and sunny.

Good day yesterday. Son got in and we sat an BSed a while and decided to hike. Was a pretty strenuous hike. Straight up and nothing but game trails. Our neighbor was here over the weekend and I think they are hand working a future homesite so we decided to see if we could find it. Couple of hours and about 4 miles but didn't find it. Guess I'll have to ask him next time out. Would be a lot less physical. I enjoyed the time with him and wish we could do it more often!
Got back and then had a wonderful dinner of homemade Lasagna. Birthday cake and then he had to head back to Charlotte where he is working this week.
Fell in to bed and slept like a baby. Woke up every few hours. :)
Wiring harness is due today and will likely go back to working on it.
Computer due tomorrow and that will be a few hours of migration and set up.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

we need rules, folks try to break them here all time, injecting religious and political ideology in avatars and discussions.

As I have said before, we are a really diverse group, and we all get along because we focus on our commonality, not our ideological differences.
It is the focus on differences that is driving the news cycle as well as most uncivil discourse.
Once in while we inadvertently leave a clue on where we stand on hot button issues, but nobody jumps on it.

Thants why I like it here.

For the record, I am very anti authoritarian, and dislike being told what to do, and what I can’t do, But I also realize that could make for a lonely existence, so I try to be respectful of others with equal, but opposite opinions.

Hope your wife gets relief m7040

Drew good luck hope they find nothing

Well said PopG I tend to be moderate that slides conservative. I too do not like being told what I can and cannot say. The g word is a trigger for me. There are others too. In the 60s 70s 80s this would not be a problem. My cousin said it best he is about 78 now “ We thought we could change the world all we did was screw it up”. Interesting thought.

Been up since 3:00 wife had nightmares ran out of insulin sugar over the weekend went wild now too low 50ish. I’m tired all the time no drive. Norovirous is running around hope it doesn’t find me again

Prayers for all our Country

Good Morning
53° and grey again. High in the lower 60’s with peeks of sunshine according to the prognosticators.

Yesterday was another day in the shop, resurrected another forlorn model airplane engine. This one had stuck cam followers. I managed to tap them out and clean them with 400 grit sandpaper and alcohol. When I went to put it back together, I realized that I had no clue how to time the cam. The internet came to the rescue and it went back together easily.
The 3D printer has been running continuously making all kinds of stuff, but the big output is the brackets to hang model planes from the ceiling.
Got several of my “mini messes” cleaned up from various small projects, but there is a major cleanup that needs to be done.
Today’s project is to install the ERV (Energy Recovery Vent) in the old folks home. As its nearing time to start using the fireplace. My mechanical contractor buddy will be here shortly to help. Probably more accurate to say that I’ll be helping him, as he will likely do all the lifting and ductwork, while I do the wiring and hold stuff.
I wonder what these young guys are trying to say by not letting me lift big stuff and volunteering to crawl into the tight spaces….

Morning all, 53 going to 68 and cloudy.
Rain all of yesterday did not produce much, but we'll take it.
This week is decoration time, a bit later than usual to start.
Son is home this weekend.

Be well,

My clearing of brush is still looking good, have to balance removal with replacement greenery so it does not erode, will try another few feet back this winter, but not quite to the tree line, about 100' down from the mailbox, where it will probably stay. I see too many people do the clearing in one shot and then the whole berm starts to break down.

Good Tractor Morning,
It is the focus on differences that is driving the news cycle as well as most uncivil discourse.
The mainstream media is most certainly fueling the fire 🔥
Of course this just creates more news, and of course we have to have news 😉
