Good morning!!!!

Daughter has the flu. We put masks on asap when we went into the clinic. They had hand sanitizer everywhere too.
She has been throwing up since we got out. They prescribed Tamiflu. $20 if you have insurance like mine, $134 if you don't. We got 1 prescription for our 12 year old daughter who shares a bed with her.

Thanks for the prayers and thoughts.

Kyle- I am really sorry to read about the diagnosis. I hope treatment and preventative measures keep everyone in your family safe and healthy. Take care. This is a nasty mutating virus. My + thoughts.

Sorry about that Kyle, praying for a quick recovery and no sharing.
After Lynn died, I lost my prescription and Medicare supplemental, but not until years end, somehow I missed that in all the turmoil. I was exposed to flu at mom’s nursing home, the doctor put me on Tamiflu as a precaution, $129.99. My new coverage kicked in February 1.

I read this and it really aggravates me. If you see what Blue Cross/BS will pay the drug supplier for that Tamiflu, who will accept that as full payment, it's just criminal that the uninsured can get so hosed and have it be legal. Remember my story of the local hospital that when authority was questioned responded about their special program for uninsured folks at one third off the bill? Well how about half off on the drugs...

Kyle, it took me three pages to catch up, but I paid 15 for the car, have 21 in it, and it's worth 12-14k depending upon whether the stock market is tanking. If I do that about ten more times I'll be attending soup kitchens...;)
And yes it still has a rattle. It needs a different mechanic. With only 75k miles, and black on black, it's a pretty neat guy's car.
I told my friend with the house in Boca that this would be perfect for his nightcrawling on South Beach. He was amused.

I really don't want to sell it myself due to not wanting folks on my property. RV'ers tend to be more established and I didn't have much choice.
I can't wait to settle on it and take that ad down. No, I forgot to ask him which site it was but I will.

Randy- What happened to you with your health insurance coverage following your wife's death is criminal. :censored:

Kyle- I wish your daughter and "family unit" a healthy recovery. Your family should all be on Tamiflu as part of SOP at no additional charge.

To treat a family unit dealing with a contagious disease as a unit works far better than all the "cheaper" alternatives.

She had state employees BC/BS as part of her compensation for seeing health department dependents. I just didn’t realize I didn’t have survivor benefits.

Kyle is your daughter coughing a lot. I wonder if this is the strain we had or a second type of flu. Hope she gets well soon and the family stays healthy.

The stump won tonight. It set in a anchor and refused to move. Tomorrow I’ll cut that anchor off.

yes, a lot of coughing. Not sure if the coughing is triggering the gag reflex, or if the virus is making her throw up...The big problem right now is, we gave her the tamiflu and she threw it up minutes later. Time is of the essence for it to help.

Did you guys cough a lot? Did you have nausea?

They make the Tamiflu in liquid if that would help. It is important to get it started ASAP.

Evening everyone.

I am catching a flight out west tomorrow and all the flu talk here and in the news is making me crazy. I have a bottle of hand sanitizer hanging from my carry on bag...planning to use it as much as I can. Probably keep a steady dosing of cold-eze stuff too.

Just read through a bunch of threads on chainsaw carriers. Some real ingenuity. Funny how many different ideas there are for doing the same task. What a value this forum is to see all the different ways others do things and then you get to either pick one or come up with something new.

I have to laugh at how many projects I have FOR my tractor rather than those actually using the tractor. :)

Randy- I understand the process. What is criminal is that nobody from BC/BS came to your aid during your devastating/catastrophic loss to help you understand your loss of coverage and help you make choices about coverage options if any. Who can think straight under these conditions. This is morally wrong. I am relieved to read as of February 1st you have coverage again. You should never have lost your coverage in the first place. What happened to you happens to a lot of others too. This is wrong.

Don- You'll beat that trunk. I'd bet on you if I gambled. It's a matter of time ...... and force.... and a really big hole

Einthewoods- I wish you safe and germ free travels. Airports are amazing cauldrons of pathogens. Keep clean; stay safe; don't pick your nose.

Yes we coughed a lot. We did not have nausea and no vomit. I just read that the nausea is a symptom mostly in kids not adults. It is 3 weeks before you can really say "I'm completely well", unless you get pneumonia then it's 4.

Do you have a stethoscope, if so monitor here breathing sounds for a rattle.

RNG I did seriously consider the pressure washer but then I thought I'll try the hand tools for and hour and that was all it took because the clay was only about 8" and the sand was a foot thick. If it would have been 90˚ instead of 55˚ then the pressure washer for sure.
