I couldn’t help but chuckle, I’ve had iPhones and iPads since they came out, assuming an update from Apple won’t cause a problem is funny!

You're right about that, Randy. I always check the latest news at MacInTouch: timely news and tips about Apple Macintosh, iPhone, security and more... and do a complete backup before any OS upgrade. More than once I've had to back them out. Right now I'm keeping my iPhone on the previous version of IOS until they get all the bugs worked out. And how many patches have they released now, and still don't have it right?.:confused2:

Good morning everyone. Partial lunar eclipses are pretty boring, but I got up anyways to see that the light from the rising sun and upper level haze had obscured the "show"

13F(Intelllicast) this AM. It might get above freezing today.

LS, Don, and RNG thanks for the pictures.

Good Happy Wednesday everyone!

Cold and snowy sums up the weather here.

I think this weekend I'll put the forks on the tractor and start seeing how they will work for grabbing logs off the pile and cutting down to size. Just an excuse to play with the tractor some. :)

Have a fantastic day!

I think you'll find that the forks work pretty well for moving logs. Now that the grading and landscaping is pretty much done here, I rarely take the forks off the loader. I also keep a spare pallet or two around to make stacks of stuff that need moving easier. Why, I've even been known to dig a hole or two with the forks!

Just checking in, took a bit to catch up. Took care of the chickens, walked the dogs, had some tea. Now going to help my wife out for a bit. Mostly getting lunch..... Then I need to work on a couple things at home, I got my drywall lift back from my bil yesterday. Broke again. Second time I’ve loaned it to him, second time it comes back broke. I won’t have to worry about him for very long, as I guess he’s going to be my ex brother in law....Good riddance, imho.

One thing about the medical folks, it seems that every drug I’m prescribed, makes me go pee. I’m peeing as much as my dog !

I think 32* is going to be the low this morning, yesterday was in the mid 40's with some pretty good wind. It's going to be overcast most of the day with the high in the 40's and windy again.

It was overcast this morning so didn't see any of the eclipse.
RNG. Thanks for letting me see what I missed.

Thanks for the prayers for my neighbor. I talked to his wife last night she said that had moved from the ICU to a room. And that he is doing better but still has some problems. She also said that they put some kind of filter in to catch the blood clots.

I got things ready yesterday to load some black power cartridges. I haven't loaded any for a few years. It's a little bit different than loading smokeless powder. I'll see if I remember how to do it.

Hope everyone has a nice day
CWB.

ready to come home today or tomorrow.

Picked up some pin flags and now off to go design the garden.
Let's face it, a stick and a finger is all you need for a lot of gardening...

2018-01-30AllTheGirls.jpg 2018-01-30LittleBucks.jpg

I was standing under the porch cover waiting on some paint to dry yesterday afternoon when I looked up the hill to see a lot of deer grazing on winter's new grass. There are almost always a few does hanging around, but right now there are also some little bucks, and once in a while a nice big four point. The big guy didn't show up last night, but the girls were out in force. Hopefully they'll stay at it and I can let them do the grass cutting!

Thanks all for the eclipse pictures.
Not a pleasant morning at doctors office. Blood pressure had sky rocketed. Several test and blood draws. Appointment with Cardiologist tomorrow. Never had problems before. I guess getting to be 75 has its rewards. 🧐

When I had my annual physical last spring the nurse took my BP when I arrived. It was 149 / 82. When I sat down with my Doc he was concerned and told me we might need to do something. Like you, I’ve never had issues with blood pressure.

I did research and bought an Omron 10 BP Monitor. It works very well and syncs, via Bluetooth, to your iPad or phone. Long story short, I check my BP every morning and well within normal range 95% of the time.

Amazon.com: Omron 1 Series Wireless Bluetooth Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor with Two User Mode (2 Reading Memory) - Compatible with Alexa: Health & Personal Care

It was $52 last June so, price has gone up a bit.

Good luck with your BP Ron.

Ron- I am sorry to read about your BP. I hope your bloodwork comes back negative for "bad stuff." Good luck with the cardiologist tomorrow.

Daugen- Thanks for sharing your pictures of the Farmall A Project; looking good. I/We see a lot of classic tractors and some fancy new tractors in "parade" driving down the road towards the Cummington Fair each year in August for the classic tractor show. I'd like to join them, but those R1's bumping down the road would not make my spine very happy.

300Guy- Is the dog in your avatar a mastiff? I/We love the large breeds. And in 3 weeks I/we start the "new dog(s?)" quest. We prefer rescues, but it might not be the case this time. We'll see. The house has been really empty since our 2 St. B.'s crossed the rainbow bridge last year to join the rest of the pack already there.

CWB- I am happy to read about your bud. I hope that his condition continues to improve.

My + thoughts, wishes and prayers for all. We all need them.

Someone wrote- "Aging is not for the weak nor faint of heart."

Have good one every one.

Good luck with your BP Ron.

I have a BP monitor. Over the last 3 weeks it has been slowly raised from 130/70 to 160/90. Today at doctor office it was 190/100.
I have had my breakfast, taken my aspirin and other supplements and drank some coffee. Still high but not like at Dr office. Good day to sit and relax

   / Good morning!!!! #69,514
Ron- I would be concerned about the 3 week increase in the BP's especially if you are home. A lot of people get "white coat" anxiety while at the doctors. It depends on which doctors' office and the nurse taking my BP with me. I hope that you get the BP managed soon.

I was very relaxed at doctors office. I am sure I am going to get set up for all kinds of test tomorrow. My wife has same Cardiologist and I have taken her to all the test.

Ron mine did the same thing, but I told them they were nuts. So I got a cuff and took pictures of it morning noon and night.
Showed that my BP was fine, but that I tended to spike. I'm not sure what that is all about. I took it last night and it was 122/73. Yet it can be way higher at the doctor's office.
Don't think it's "white coat" reaction either. I see a lot of docs and specialists too. My pulse is in the 50's usually and hit 48 once, that got them hopping around to conclusions.
I just thought I was calm cool and collected...but why the high doc office readings? Tension from driving there? I usually read my Kindle in the waiting room, not like my space operas
are getting me overexcited.

After I recorded my findings for two weeks, I put the results on a spread sheet and my PCP agreed with me. Red herring.
I probably ought to cut down on my caffeine, it's wonderful in offsetting the dullness of arthritis/spine pain meds but likely not the best solution.
Best solution is probably the berries off some tree that is not AMA approved...

Maybe that’s it. I was listening to a talk radio station on my way over to Dr office. Some of the response to the SOTUS got my BP up.

Stupid drivers who can not keep to posted speed and road construction delays will spike my BP every time.

I cut back to two cups of high test coffee daily and no caffeine after 1:00PM. Cutting back may have helped "calm" my "nervous energy."

If the coffee bean was just discovered I bet the AMA would not approve it. It would probably end up being classified as a "controlled substance.

During the worst of my ordeal I was also receiving homeopathic treatments including acupuncture and some natural herbs (no THC at that point). It was parallel treatments. It helped, but I/we could not afford to continue treatments. When I really started to listen to and understand what the homeopathic practitioner was saying; he really was saying the same thing as to what was going on according to the AMA specialists, but saying it "esoterically". Towards the end I was sharing information with all the practitioners treating me. Everyone's focus was on managing the different organs' inflammation. Fortunately for me it worked.

Good morning! 39˚ heading to the mid 60's, sunny. The moon eclipse is visible, clear skies. It's about 1/4 covered. Kyle's kids get to see the earths shadow on the moon as they get ready for school.

One more day of rail staining if I don't goof off too much. Keeping an eye on the Battery Saver cycles and measuring the voltage on the batteries are always a good distraction.

I updated the latest OS version on my wife newer Mac. No unexpected problems of course, it's a Mac.

When Apple confessed to slowing down their phones.... my blood pressure went up. Drew, your's is really good. Mine was up to 133/88 day before IIRC.

If a PC breaks, you can get parts for them anywhere. It is usually the software that makes them obsolete.... Here at work I have an 9 1/2 year old Dell T5500, with 8 cores. Only lost 1 of 2 hard drives in the 8 years. For home, I buy cheeep used Dells, with windows 7 or 8, for usually around $200 or a bit more with more options. These may be 4 years old or such.

Kids were on the bus, I told them to sit on the side where they could see the moon. I watched it. Really beautiful.

Was 17° this morning. Now 31°
Thanks for the appropriate moon pictures.
I stepped out on the deck last night to take a look, not dressed, didnt realize at the time it was 19° out.
Doing an sd card recovery. Thought i was deleting 1 video from the phone, wiped out the whole card. Immediately pulled the card.
Found over 1000 already. Probably only a dozen not already stored on computer, will see.
