I purchased a LED Head Lamp off Amazon after my son told me how good they are. I got it on a Lighting Deal for $15. I sure helps a old guy see what he is working on. My opthamologist says she can fix my working in low light places problems with cataract surgery. Sorry, for less than $20 and no downtime. I should be good for a few more years.

Ron, I’ve got a single light version that I got on eBay a few years ago. I’d guess it’s maybe 3000 lumens or less. It’s ok but I like the idea of more lights. Is the headband big enough to wear over a baseball cap? One of the reviews said it was tight on their size 7 Head.

I also saw this one that claims can be adjusted to wear with a hard hat.

The light is so miserable at the mechanic's place, most of the guys that work there wear headlamps all day long. I read some reviews on this one, and bought one. It gets about 5 hours out of three AA rechargeables at full power, more if you turn it down. Nothing fancy, lightweight, and fairly comfortable. The lamp tilts down so you can get light right where you need it, and it nestles up under the bill of my cap, sorta, so my head doesn't get cold.

I'm down in my lower back more than I ever have been in my whole life. Not sure what to do, there seems to be a "knot" beside one of my vertebra. I was running a medium sized manual lathe to make a very small part. I had to drill a .0410" hole through a 316 stainless part .400 long. I had to keep pulling the tailstock back and forth to change drills and I "torqued" my back. It seemed to be getting better yesterday, but the wifey and I went out to eat and sat in one of those booths with a straight back. I should have changed to a table with chairs but we had already gotten our food and figured I'd suffer through it. Now I know how Drew feels.

Hurts like heck when I'm usin' it, but this Theracane thing the PT guy recommended is great at takin' knots out.

That is a standard charger. Not a pulse charger. I linked the site for it's voltage chart. Beyond that I cannot tell you the difference. Battery Saver also makes Chargers for other voltages besides 48 volts.
Battery Saver. You can buy them on Amazon.

I'd never heard of a pulse charger until you mentioned the Battery Saver, Ron. Looked 'em up and their pitch makes sense, especially the way the plates stay clean over the years. The 2701 looks like their best model, but for some reason Amazon doesn't stock them. I have a note into BS asking if that 50W charger would harm a small motorcycle battery. I'd like to use just one charger on everything, and rotate it through the fleet. I'll let you guys know if they get back to me.

There is lots of adjustment in the head band. I am not good at reviews. But reading them gives me some chuckles. Buy something with several 100 reviews and 4.5 stars. Some of the 1 and 2 star reviews have no clue what they bought. Almost like they left a bad review because they wanted to return the item. I am cheap and buy the item with best reviews and lowest price. Very few things get returned. Unless they do not work at all.
I used the one I bought while putting the new wax ring in toilet. It must have been on for at least 5 hours. It was as bright at end of day as it was when I started. The large light puts out a 3’ spread 3’ out. Turn on the 4 smaller lights along with large on and a very large area it lit up but not as bright.

Have been working steadily outside all day, nice warm 64 with high humidity, which felt good on the sinuses, and clouds rolling in.
Have pics to post later, now to hot tub and ponder all the ingrates and reneggers who offered to pay list price plus plus and then gosh they all backed out. Ripping off parts of my body to guarantee no snow in Texas wasn't enough. Free delivery wasn't enough.
Full propane bottles wasn't enough. I know the problem....it doesn't come with a three point hitch...

I'm going to soak with a nice glass of Italian red.

Anything that "moves"? Or did you mean anything that "doesn't" move?
Nope. Did the entire Kubota family and my car. But without the sun it got sort of chilly. I also managed to get some shopping done and turned the manure pile over. Pretty productive day. Even washed the wife. Lol.

Prayers for all. Rip, I hope your wifey keeps getting better and you get some rest.

Rick, Don, we might have to up the ante. Farmer could meet Drew halfway and trade out a kid/pet free camper for a large load of chicken litter that Drew desperately needs.
Hey. Having just experienced major back reconstruction I would hope you get yours checked out. And not by just one doctor. Backs are serious. Don't ignore it or tough it out. Please. Get checked out.

39C here today so will sit inside with the aircon and watch a few movies, yesterday was 34C and almost 80% humidity which made it decidedly unpleasant, tomorrow is going to be much the same, overall an unpleasant week.

Bunyip- That's 102F. I've been reading about the heatwave. Is this normal?

It hit 48F here today. Almost shirtsleeve weather. I would rather be soaking in some hot tub with an intoxicating beverage than sweating like a race horse and hugging the A/C.

Just thinking about all of you out there working when sick (BTDT). If one does not take care of their body, their body will ultimately take care of them, and it is rarely pleasant. Take care.

It is that time of year, January and February are the worst and we have had up to 46C, funnily enough they are predicting 19/18C on Wednesday and a cooler change tomorrow so we might get some sleep.
I have a horse arena to finish off with lots of gravel base to spread but it can wait, we have decided that going out for lunch somewhere today will take precedence on the proviso it is cool.
On the south coast it is unusual to get more than about 3 days of 30+ in a row, inland is a completely different story.

I can fit you in Wednesday after 2. I just got done fresh leeches -we'll have you fixed in no time.

Not sure if leeches are the hot ticket. I'm not into cupping either.

Although, if you have a medieval "rack" to stretch me out a little, I might be interested....

I am convinced, but do not yet have proof that Physical Therapy 101 as taught today is still based on the texts from the "Grand Inquisitors" from the Spanish Inquisition.

I don't have a rack per se, but do have a Ford F250, a New Holland and some towing straps. We can make it work.
