Only took 1 of the 2 suspected meds tonight, so far no hives. Thought the one i took might be the one, since i only have taken 4 from the new batch, and 3 days ago is when hives began. Didnt take the statin tonight, but have used over a month of this type without a problem. Maybe its the combination.

Has anyone installed a hinged flagpole. I was thinking of a flag pole between two c-beams (faced outward) with two bolts - remove the bottom bolt to pivot the flagpole down.

No but I did hinge a 4x4 security light pole at my old house’ made servicing very easy. Used barn door hinge on the back side out of sight and smaller flat bracket on the other side. When I had to service I’d take my drill driver and run the one screw out.

Good evening all. 2 this morning, light wind clear sky. wind calmer today, sky stayed clear and temp warmed to 42F. Worked on WBS ash build up then prepped for bike ride. Shorten bike ride due to cold, abd lack of interest. Managed to not overheat the living room today maxed out at 73F, keeps heat off but SWMBO.

Rip good to hear you are home!

Buckeye, wife developed allergy during chemo, wife reacted badly to it,scary stuff. Hope you can find out what it is.

Lou enjoyed your driveway video.

Always have watched the weather close between outside work and flying. Got halfway home once, maybe 30min. flying time didn't like what I saw, and special weather ob had shown weather had gone from ok VFR to hard IFR (instrument flying). Turned around and went home, if they had forecast the possible deterioration, would have not gone.

That was quick, they figured out what happened in Hawaii to send out that false missile alarm:

And just in case all this talk about mental health has you spooked, here's a handy test you can use to see if you're OK:

Good morning all, 11 this morning going to 27 and sunny. Took it easy yesterday, went out to the shop for a bit but brain fog would not let me figure out how to do things. Lyme is fun. 42 years ago they took my brother in law to a "home" for mentally challenged boys. They put him in a dorm with other boys in the dark. He did not know where he was and they did not let him see family for 6 weeks. He was a mentally challenged 8 year old at the time. When they got to see him again he was a zombie, no notice of anything around him. When i think about that it makes me want to ......... Today the government wants to make sure that they are taken away from family and put somewhere else. Still makes me want to ......... Enough said. Will likely take it easy today.

RIP Glad you and your wife got home safe. Praying.

Praying for "the list" Ed

17 and dropping, but will get up to 31.

Speaking of weather, out electric co-op includes some data that helps explain the changes in our bill...graphs, comparisons of this month vs. last month and last year. Last month's average low temp was 6 degrees colder than same month last year. That's quite significant...and the bill amount bears it out.

Spent most of yesterday working on finances and prepping for taxes...and a little reading time with my wife.

Don, very interesting description of the paver project. I still remember seeing that completed photo for the first time...very impressive.

BEF, hope you have solved the hives/meds mystery.

After running out on my first batch of 10,000 pavers from Acme Brick in Texas, I had to go to another supplier in Mexico. The quality was sub par and about half were defective so I bought twice as many, a discount was given after I brought back several pallets but then they told me just to keep them. I was able to use the defective ones whenever I did not need a full paver. In the end I had several pallets left over.

The job is easy if you compact the soil (preferably gravel then coarse sand) before you lay the pavers and have a good cement boarder. Divide the project into sections each surrounded by a cement boarder about 8-12 inches wide and no more than about 1,200 pavers. There are pavers made to walk on and pavers made to drive on, be sure to use the appropriate paver. The pavers are made to either have a gap or lay touching each other (knobs and tampered). If you can, get the ones that butt up against each other. I used the straight edge pavers that required a quarter inch gap and cut about 50,000 small styrofoam spacers before applying the setting paver sand in-between the pavers. I'm going to have to rest now the memories are making me tired.
I helped Don with one section of his drive. Kind of work I like. Don had the whole section all prepped. All we did was lay bricks. Very rewarding seeing the project completed.
