"Over the top" political discussion led to my departure. I try to stay away from divisive issues nowadays. Life is too short for testosterone/ego driven BS.

Dealing with the NE ice/snow, cold, keeping the wood stove fed, and focusing on each and every next pending weather event are my primary tasks this time of year.

Barn fire near me, rather new barn. Same farm lost another fairly new barn a few yrs ago.

Western side of Appalachian mountains due for nice snowstorm this weekend more cold as well as interior New England then big warm up 18th tru 25th or so before new cold blast comes in this one will have some staying power too

I'm forever asking The Wife if the stuff in the dishwasher is clean or "not clean." When I got home form work Friday, there was a magnet on the front of the dishwasher door that read "Dirty." :laughing: The other side reads "Clean."

I like that I always look at the interior of the door if spills are there dirty dishes

We've had several barn fires around this area this winter already with the loss of livestock and equipment. It's so sad.

Buppies- I am an unrepentant weather geek. The weather models look good for snow in the areas you posted. Southwestern parts of NE will probably see a lot of rain before it changes over to frozen precipitation. The models are trending east I would prefer an all snow event.

My wife bought a dishwasher magnet that spins around dirty/clean, the grand kids found out it spins, so...

Ed, be careful! I did the same on the front porch several years ago, somehow I scooted on all the steps and stood up on the paver walk. Wish I had a tape!

Drew, not a new tractor, can’t justify that for my usage, but a nice little 4WD diesel.

I don't know PJ, that's kind of hard to understand.
Dirty means the ones about to get dirty right?
And Clean means the ones that need to get cleaned of course

That's right. . .read them as verbs instead of adjectives and you get the opposite meaning

Many years ago, I had an unmarked home storage squad car that I parked in my driveway (rear entry garages in that neighborhood). It was a slight up hill grade to the garage. And one icy morning, I went out to start the car to let it warm up. And I never even realized that I had slipped at all; I just suddenly realized that I was lying flat on my back in the driveway, and of course I had on my full police uniform at the time. A fall like that now would probably kill me, but at that time, it didn't hurt a bit. But I sure felt like a fool. I guess the only good thing about it was that no one else saw it happen.:laughing:

ronjhall- Thanks. Every day alive and talking down to the earth rather than up is a gift. I try to stay focused on living. Strangely TBN kept me going when things were different.

I spend +1 hour each early AM reading weather related stuff. I do not encourage anyone to encourage me about weather discussion.
