that pic of Eric's is really beautiful. We're getting snow and Europe is getting snow too I bet,
and those funny little islands off the coast, with sheep and tractors no less.
With all due respect to Her Majesty The Queen.

I wonder if the Queen will give her approval to a certain tractor brand...they do that you know...
so Lord Salop would then be required, if he wanted to retain his peerage, to have a tractor with
the Queen's Crest on the grill. One can only wonder what the proper Britisher driving a Jaguar saloon
would choose for a tractor worthy of the Queen's Crest. Built in England of course.
And they could give it a grand name like a Super Snipe.

I hope everything is going ok with Riptides. Prayers sent his way and to his wife.

I continue to be reminded that getting old is not for sissies. And visits to hospitals are rarely fun, usually awful frankly.

With all this snow coming down, with alligators getting sweaters for the winter, I can imagine the big smile on David's face up on his island home.
It never gets too hot and it never gets too cold. Marvelous.

My parents standard poodle had a sweater to wear in the winter time and she actually waited on you to put it on before she would go outside

Good morning all. No snow here, 34 degrees. Unfortunate all the girls had to cancel from the Richmond and Harrisonburg areas. So, disappointed as we are, it must be part of the plan. The wife is hanging in there, without pain management, well I cannot imagine, how. All looks to be set for the trip up north this next weekend. I have been just finding odd jobs around the house for the last few days. Yesterday I reacquainted myself with my maul. Before I knew it, I was sweating and had a nice stack of firewood. Maybe when the kids come by the house over their breaks, then can start up the wood stove. Ahh.... smack me, maybe not.

I keep going over in my mind what's next to do. I need to find another distraction or two for the rest of the days here.

Appreciate the prayers, if you ever had a Bobcat cornered, that's what I am dealing with for the next few. YEOUCH! LOL.

And I am not sure what the weather people are yapping about. It's really nice here, while east of 95 looks to be getting hammered. Crazy weather.

Riptides, God’s grace to you and yours.

We have about 4”/5” here, 4-5 miles west has twice that. It’s 31 and raining right this second, that’s not good. Supposed to get another 2-4”. I hope not. Roads aren’t terrible. I put the truck in the garage.

My perfect running tractor with the front blade will only backfire out the exhaust and won’t run at all. Murphy’s law I suppose. At least the clam shell driveway isn’t frozen.

28°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 38° today.

Donating a Saturday morning to the cause this morning. Boss asked if I could come in for a few hours to help out with some troublesome Woods parts. Still not awake yet. Come on, tea, kick in already.

Company Xmas party is tonight. I couldn't make it last year, so this will be my first one here.

Good morning! 34˚ clear skies. There is still snow in the shaded places. Today's project is clear the paver drive from yesterday's limb drop. Time wise, it's a toss up between the chain saw and hooking up the grapple on this project but as we all know when it's close use the tractor.

Heater was turned off Thursday and the WBS has been going continuously since then, inside temp a tropical 70˚.
Starting tomorrow back to Hawaii winter weather. The snow has been fun but you can only have so much fun.

It should be 60˚ by 2PM so that's my target time to start limb removal.

they are supposed to be exceptionally smart dogs and excellent pets. One I'm thinking about...

RNG have you seen this:

And if you think that sounds trippy, a 1960 Volkswagen Deluxe "23-Window" microbus took a short, strange trip across the auction block that cost $207,200.

Good morning, all.

Current temp 8, going to a high of 19 Wind ENE 11mph.

Another 2-4" coming today, the weatherman claims. Maybe it will turn into another 16".

The 1-3 cm roughly translated 1-1.5" turned into 16". I went out and plowed everybody out (3 hrs), by the time I got back to the house another 2" had fallen. I had quick supper at 4 P.M. and went back out and finished in the dark. I am going to have to go out again this morning and do the fiddly parts here that I couldn't do in the dark (5 P.M.).
The person with the biggest place to plow out is on disability pension and has been for the 24 years I have lived here. 5 heart attacks and cancer beaten once, doesn't have a lot of money, but he pays me what he can.....He offered me 40 bux yesterday to catch him up on last seasons' plowing. I told him that it was Christmas and to spend that on one or more of the grandkids. I don't take money off anybody in December. A cheap Christmas present. I plow them out and it only costs me a little time and some fuel.

A woman down the road from my disabled buddy wanted me to blow her mile long laneway, she saw me two years ago with a blower on and assumed I was blowing. Nope, not this winter. I did put her onto the guy that has a tractor mounted blower across the street from me. She was offering $50.oo and more if needed.

Stay safe people.

Not that one, but I did see a split window VW buss go for just under $100K earlier this year at a Mecam's auction. By comparison, that guy got a heck of a great deal. I'd never heard of a Z8, but no surprise Jobs would have one. Nice car, but I wouldn't own another BMW from that era. Too much to break.

Ron, sorry about your friend. Holidays are a bad time to lose someone, but I guess there is no good time.
