The pond did not freeze.
That one is a postcard picture, Don. Very nice.

And finally, a Texas snow pic with cactus.

So far, Ron, it's looking like you picked a good year to skip Texas for your winter trip!

Snow day today. 1st time we've ever had more than a dusting here since 1985 or 1986 here in Giddings, best my wife can remember. To be specific, it snowed 17" in Victoria (100 miles south of here in 2004).
Notice my pecan tree still has/had green leaves.
School here actually ran 2 hours late. Roads are good now, but I decided to let the kids play as a different type of learning environment today.
Don, I got the fireplace burning now too.
That's wild still having green leaves on the pecans. Do you usually have them this late?
Give him two balloonsGood morning. The dog didn't want to linger outside this morning. Wind combined with a mixture of rain that is wannabee snow and snow that is wannabe rain made us both grateful to be back inside.
Thanks Don, will have to try that. Our postman is the best source of rubber bands, though he may struggle to find one that wide. Any more tips - how to stop a youngster crying after I've stolen his balloon ?
