Rswyan, Had the ear thing happen one time, could hear wax frying. Not a good thing at all.

Was working in a auto parts store one time and a mechanic came in and wanted something to ware when he used the cutting torch. We were surprised because we knew he did not ware anything but sunglasses for that. We showed him a small pair of googles and no he wanted something bigger and he finely got a big face shield. We knew something had happened and asked. He was under a car cutting a muffler off and a ball of hot metal went up his nose and he spit it out. We believed him because of the look on his face. Makes you think.

Hove a goof afternoon. Ed

The one I'm really hoping to avoid is having one go in my ear while welding overhead ....

That happened to me, I think last year, when I was welding the FEL arms back together. It was an overhead weld, and I didn't have one of those welding hats with the short bill that would cover my uphill ear. A BB jumped right in, I heard a squeaky pfffft, and couldn't hear very well out of that ear for quite a while.

This room is slowly becoming my little slice of heaven on earth. I should have everything connected and fully functional by this weekend.

Great collection of music tools ya got there, PJ. The acoustic foam looks great, too. What kind is it and where'd ya get it?

Good Morning!!!! 57 @ 8:45AM. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High near 65F. Winds light and variable.

Got some tension into the front wheel yesterday, dialed out some, but not all, of the hop, and got it centered (no dish). Not as straight as I'd like but that rim isn't in the best of shape, either. I'll tension it up a bit more, true it one more time, and call it good.

One of the Tap switches for the Philips Hue smart lights in the office went dead a couple of days ago, and after no answer from Philips tech support, I started digging around on the 'net to find a fix. Recommended fix was to delete it from the control software, then add it back, but when I checked the Home app on the iPhone I found four entries for the switch. Tried the Philips Hue app, and found that each of the switches there had a unique but not very descriptive name. Fixed that, deleted and readded the Tap switch, and it started working again. Three days later and still no response from Philips tech support...:confused2:

Grocery shopping in town this afternoon, and another progress meeting with the mechanic. He was supposed to have worked on the engine over the weekend. It'll be his last chance before I go through with the plan to sell the motor to his ex-business partner and source another. Probably hear a bunch more excuses and not see anything, so the expectations are very low.

Found an interesting recipe for a cranberry vinaigrette dressing for the green salad I'm taking to the Thanksgiving potluck at my friend's house Thursday, and will shop for ingredients today. I usually prefer red lettuce, but will use one of those mixes of fancy greens instead, along with radishes, broccoli, and lots of cherry tomatoes. Tangy and colorful!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 35ー with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 48ー with some rain in late afternoon. Dentist visit went OK. Except, need a small filling. That will be next week. I have not checked the list yet. The rain we had over weekend must have brought in some dirt with it. May put window washing on top of list today.

Randy, TSC has a Thanksgiving special on a Side by Side that will go 40mph.
Looking, cats and dogs adjusting thermostat's. Story from the great white north. :D
Drew, nice mower.
Good Morning All.

I don稚 have room to go 40, but I値l look at it. After all, if some is enough, too much is just right!:D

I don't know if I will be able to trust Costco's reviews. After reviewing the mixer and telling exactly what happened they sent me an email saying that my review did not meet the guidelines for posting. I was very polite and even gave it a 2star, but they said it: "contains legally sensitive content". What??? I guess I try to rewrite the review and say "I returned it - just guess why".

Thanks, RNG. Been collecting them for about 35 years. Still have a few brass and woodwind instruments that are not in there (trumpet, trombone, bugle, recorder, shakuhachi). The foam is generic melamine acoustic foam, which I bought from Seismic Audio's website. They seem to have the most reasonable prices I could find.

I'm guessing they have been sued several times and their legal dept. has now taken over. The last thing they want is public reviews describing their problems...pretty lame of them when safety is an issue.
