35°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 55° today.
Wife got the stitches in her thumb removed yesterday. Still looks a little gnarly, but everything has closed up nicely. It's still sore, and she's keeping it wrapped to limit mobility for now.
She's also been house cleaning like a mad woman. We're having some friends over Thursday for Thanksgiving, and naturally she thinks the house is still a disaster after the remodeling work. It's not, but she's on a mission, so I just stay out of the way and accept orders as they come. Happy Wife = happy life.
Pj, I used to have my 8 track recorder, Tascam 688, set up and did some recording at home and at church. Are you going to do any recording too. Sounds like you are almost set up for it.
Ed, I happened upon my Tascam 488 in it's box in storage last week. Those 488/688s were pretty nice little multi-track recorders, even if it was on cassette tapes. I replaced it some years ago with a Roland VS-1824CD 16-track digital recorder. So, yeah, the whole purpose of that room is to be my home recording studio. Here are some pics around the little room:
The guitar wall: Alvarez acoustic (Wife's guitar), Austin Classical, Jackson Dinky reverse headstock, Squier Fat Strat, empty space for Les Paul I haven't found yet, Epiphone Dot Studio
On the floor: Roland C-180 digital pipe organ (top), Roland XP-80 workstation (bottom), Roland PK-5 pedal keyboard (not pictured), Ampeg PB-210 amp (used for keyboards), and Alesis DM-10 Studio electronic drum kit
The bass wall: Squier Jazz, '73 Rickenbacker 4001, Fishbone custom 6-string, Dean EAB acoustic-electric, and Krutz Gamba 3/4-size double bass
Under the cover is the Roland VS-1824CD multi-track recorder, and an Altec Lansing monitor system
Guitar and bass amps are against the wall not pictured, behind the door.
This room is slowly becoming my little slice of heaven on earth. I should have everything connected and fully functional by this weekend.
