Good evening all. 40F this morning, clear, light breeze. High temp was 76F, sky stayed clear, , moderate wind. Easy day today. Went to Chapel, made breakfast for wife, worked on wood pile.

RNG I would think lacing spokes on a motorcycle wheel would be less fun than a bicycle wheel because the spoke are far less bendable. I use a cross three pattern on bike wheels.

She prefers outside unless it is thundering, then she knocks on the back door wanting in.
Whipper usually barks at something coming into the yard several times each night. Tonight she has not budged from her bed. Poor, puppy, she must be exhausted.
Astros won again last night. I slept through most of the 5 hour game. But now I'm awake.:mur:

Warm...about 63 right now. The "high" will drop few degrees to about 60.

Increased the battery bank from 18 to 21 - 46.2 kWh /962 ah. Less than the 1350ah of the old bank but without the worry of 50% DOD constraint.

So good to wake the laptop up from it's slumber and find that all is well in the world, or at least it is in a certain part of Texas. Wonderful news Don.
We are just at little cooler than you farmeratheart, our roof is white over with frost for the first time this autumn. It should soon disappear as the sun has no clouds to hide behind this morning. I'm hoping it will have enough power to get the temperature up enough for me to get the topcoat of paint on a couple of sheets of steel. While I'm waiting I may get the tractor out and start to collect some of the firewood that has come out of the hedge I'm slowly laying. The hawthorn is precious, it burns so well that I am reluctant to leave behind any but the smallest branches.

41 and the rain is ending...going to 59. Quite the storm blew through last night...big wind, rain, and 10 degree drop in temps in 10 minutes.
CWB, nice thing you did helping the young folks learn to shoot. We need for more city people to learn how to be responsible and comfortable with firearms.

Rain coming to end soon wind will decrease in howling mid afternoon,power blink 4 times last night as the winds roar over the mountain,bet I'll be busy after work cleaning limbs/branches from the lawn.
Well headed down to valley for 8 hours grind,guess I better leave little early not knowing which roads open or closed.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 37° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 47° with rain. Got couple of small projects done outside yesterday. Before rain sent me in. I have a ophthalmologist appointment this morning. That will pretty much use up the day after eyes get dilated. No problems just need new glasses and thought I would get checked out by more than a optometrist. Going to try using Zenni.
Don, glad Whipper is home. Looked at dog trackers. Very interesting. Glad our dog goes outside and does her thing. Then demands that we let her in where we are. Only thing to stops that behavior is new people on our property. So far no one has kept her.

Good morning all, 38 going to 59 and sunny today. First things first, glad Whipper is home!!!! We have a big home inspection today. Because we take care of the Boy the gover mint says we must cross all of their t's and dot all of their I's so today we find out how well we did. Likely won't get anything else done except fixing what they say we missed. The inspectors are nice people and it will also be a nice visit.

a nippy morning, rains have ended, 39 degrees going up to 59 today. Errands this morning, may look at a small bush hog to go on the back of the little Massey. Like the rest of the East Coast, windy last night, roof vents clattering away in the wind. Will see how much I have to clean up this morning. Welcome Farmeratheart, and good morning Thall.
Such good news to start the day, Whipper is home, whether he learned anything is the real question, and yeah I'd put a tracking collar on him promptly. Even if it falls off, you can find the collar again right? There has to be collars that stay on skinny sleek necks.
I have some equally good news, within 24 hours I found not only my missing wristwatch, in the bottom of the car wash supply box (?) and my spare set of glasses said hi there, having fallen from a resting spot and hiding thereafter in the storage shed. Glasses are expensive and I'm glad I found them. I'll promptly lose them again, why I need two pairs. Yes, I even have electronic trackers given to me for my glasses, but they were pretty big and unsightly.
Let's see, if Whipper gets his own smart phone, he'll be easy to find.

It is about 47F this AM, warmer than the 33F yesterday morning which broke records in the area. Another front heading down, supposed to hit here just in time for Trick or Treating.
Had a wonderful church service yesterday. Had the pastor and family over for a fish fry.
