Good evening all. 40F this morning, clear, light breeze. High temp was 76F, sky stayed clear, , moderate wind. Easy day today. Went to Chapel, made breakfast for wife, worked on wood pile.

RNG I would think lacing spokes on a motorcycle wheel would be less fun than a bicycle wheel because the spoke are far less bendable. I use a cross three pattern on bike wheels.

Well, technically, I left first during the thunderstorm last Sunday, so she is saying that I ran away and she has been looking for me for a week. She still thinks that she found me.

I'm looking into trackable collars. As soon as I have enough information I'll start a thread in "Rural Living".

Whipper's sleeping comfortably on her bed on the back porch. Her paw is moving like she is dreaming she is still traveling. She was moving so slowly this evening I couldn't take he on a golf cart run, maybe tomorrow when she is recovered.

Don, this is great news! My daughter asked if she will sleep inside?

She prefers outside unless it is thundering, then she knocks on the back door wanting in.

Whipper usually barks at something coming into the yard several times each night. Tonight she has not budged from her bed. Poor, puppy, she must be exhausted.

Astros won again last night. I slept through most of the 5 hour game. But now I'm awake.:mur:

So good to wake the laptop up from it's slumber and find that all is well in the world, or at least it is in a certain part of Texas. Wonderful news Don.

We are just at little cooler than you farmeratheart, our roof is white over with frost for the first time this autumn. It should soon disappear as the sun has no clouds to hide behind this morning. I'm hoping it will have enough power to get the temperature up enough for me to get the topcoat of paint on a couple of sheets of steel. While I'm waiting I may get the tractor out and start to collect some of the firewood that has come out of the hedge I'm slowly laying. The hawthorn is precious, it burns so well that I am reluctant to leave behind any but the smallest branches.
