41F mid 50's for high.
Finally getting good slow soaking of rain looks like it may last into late night hours..

Able to blow big P.I.T.A. section of leaves yesterday after work just before darkness and rain drops arrive.

Welllll gotta think about heading down to the valley.

Enjoy the day all.

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 27° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 54° with mostly sunny skies. Got my Aunts little projects done yesterday. Spent more time just visiting. Picked up the shop crane from HF. It's on the list to assemble today. But lawn cutting has priority. Should be last cutting. All other strips around lawn will be leaf pickup.
I guess there is a first for everything. I bought a 1/2" collet for my Bridgeport off Ebay. Seller sent me a 3/8" collet. Sent it back with label seller sent me. It was addressed to Amazon. Over a week later no refund. Sent another Ebay message asking for my refund. Got the refund. But seller claimed that I ordered wrong item. Got a Ebay message from seller asking me to not give negative feedback. Because it was my fault. ????????? I left the negative feedback. Now I am getting phone calls and direct emails from him. I guess I need to contact Ebay and file a complaint. :smiley_aafz:
Don, the calls are a good sign. Hope Whipper is home soon.
Wngsprd, best wishes for your wife's fast recovery. Friend had similar surgery. Looked real bad for awhile. Saw him a couple weeks ago. It had healed so you cannot see where it was done.
Irv, glad the septic will be good for now. I got the BH for my Kubota after telling wife that it would come in handy if our system ever needed repair.
Good Morning All.

Good morning all. Cool morning, light showers just went by, high in sixties today. Great Fall weather. Forecast is for developing storm on Sunday that should bring quite a bit of rain to East Coast. Hope it comes inland far enough to give us a couple of inches of rain.

Grocery shopping this morning, then I think I may wax my truck. Long overdue. Washed it yesterday and paint just squeaked, wax me wax me.

Billy, hope Myla is doing better. I worried about my thyroid scar and now I can't even see it. Can sure look nasty and worrisome in the beginning.

Starting to go through Jackson & Perkins and Hale Groves catalog for Xmas flowers and fruit. I have sent boxes of citrus for many years, but that big storm allegedly wiped out half of Florida's citrus. Clearly there is some left. Think I'll order early...

Good morning all, 41 this morning going to 57 and mostly sunny. I have got two more shelves to put up in the pantry and the door to put up and I will be done with the pantry for a while. Still need to put drywall up over the stairs but that will wait until I get something else done.

Wngsprd, prayers for your wife.

Don, Prayers sent for Wipper's safe return. $50 and $100 sounds fine to me, keep your chin up she will be home soon.

Have a great day. Ed

You've gone on a walkabout and now you must come home.
Perhaps you've been seduced by another dog, C'mon Whip, it'll be a trip!
Who is guarding your home! C'mon home boy.
And stop worrying Don.

Roy, nothing like travel and confined meeting rooms to give you some community germs.
Feel better soon.

Thall, please don't stay away. You are my age from Texas and I think we have no issues, just understandings.
Would like to hear from you.

I also think it was pretty neat that CWB from Wyoming read this thread for so long and decided to jump in.
The pictures from the MidWest and Rockies are extra special for me, since I've never been there. Particularly the snowy
mountains that look like our version of the Alps.
I still have to Go West. On my list.
And I've never set foot in Texas. Now that I have to rectify.
Too bad it will likely be in the dead of winter. Hard to get away when things are growing.

Good morning, cool weather not cold. Still deciding on shorts or jeans, the ladies hate it when I wear long pants! LOL
Don I bet Whipper is heading home now!

   / Good morning!!!! #63,748
We have a frost in the forecast; don't expect any real freeze in the near future, but I went ahead and covered the outdoor faucets this morning anyway.

Good morning. 54 heading to 80. We have a low of 38 expected for this weekend.
Whipper is still on the most wanted list. Today the people get the newspaper in the mail so maybe a lead later.

Removed the one garage door opener/fire bomb this afternoon and removed the screw holding the latch open so I could manually lock it. New opener is due in a couple of days.

Glad you were around to dodge that bullet, Randy!

Lots of us have older garage door openers, and I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing make and model info on the one that self incinerated? Might save someone else the same misadventure...

Good Morning!!!! 0% Precip. / 0.00 in Sunny. High around 85F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

From the sounds of things, a few of you have been making good progress on your projects, then again one or two of you, not so much. Hope everything works out in the end.

Hope Wiper comes home soon, Don. Who's protecting the pasture while she's gone?

And Eric's a grandpa again. Congrats!

FH7-Rainbow.jpg FH7-Snow.jpg BTTB-Camp.jpg coastView.jpg

My buddy arrived on schedule Friday evening and we settled on a route to the campout for Saturday, after enjoying a nice meal and a few barley pops. Saturday dawned bright and clear, but a bit on the cool side. Our route took us over the Coast Range on Forest Highway 7, a well maintained dirt road I'd enjoyed in previous years. We spotted clouds over the summit, and enjoyed a nice rainbow on the way up, but were totally unprepared for the snow. Yes snow, enough to completely cover the road and eventually stop my forward progress about a hundred feet from the summit. My friend's long legs gave him just enough push to get over the top, and he kindly hiked back to give me a ten foot push so I could follow. A Jeep driver coming the other way chuckled when we asked how far the snow covering lasted, and were relieved to learn only a few hundred feet more. But from there it was rain filled mud ruts, and we pretty much got covered in the stuff, leaving us look like we'd survived a war or something. But neither of us were wet or cold, and by the time we got to camp the sun was back out and dinner was once again delicious. Made a nice day loop the next morning/afternoon, and decided to spend another night there, the only ones there. Asked two local guys at breakfast the next morning if a little squiggle of a road on the map was paved, and were given assurances that it was. But the Pavement Ends sign we found gave us doubts, as did warnings of locked gates ahead. Undeterred, we found the gate warning was in error, but the pavement did indeed disappear, replaced with more rocky, muddy, and rooty ground. But at least it wasn't snow, and after a few miles and some white knuckle moments we were both back on asphalt. We were headed north to a camp on the Lost Coast we'd learned of from a Google Search, and a beautiful spot it was. We just missed the sunset, but still had enough light left to get the tents up and unwrap our sandwitches without too much trouble. Just after dark the wind came up, a warm one, and while we enjoyed the relief from the coastal chill, neither of us cared for the creaking and flapping that made sleeping something of a challenge. Tuesday had us heading a bit farther up the coast to Ferndale and breakfast, then back over CA36 to Red Bluff and south to Chico and home. We just made a one hour opening of 36 between Bridgeville and Dinsmore, something of a surprise that had us and our fellow road users in more of a hurry than was wise on the narrow mountain road. We made good enough time to arrive at the Chico BMW dealer before they closed, though, and David was able to purchase a mirror he'd broken the day before in a minor spill. Both of us welcomed the hot showers and soft beds back at my place, and Wednesday was spent in the garage straightening and repairing some luggage brackets also damaged in the crash. The trip was one of those where every day seemed like it was two days long, and a great way to close out the summer riding season.

What year pilot? I have 2005 and 2013. Might get a crv next.

Don't you just hate the "Jelly Bean" look of the new Pilots?

We have a 2010 woih that square-shouldered look that is very distinctive, and which has HUGE room inside. But, it is getting long in to the tooth, and we were considering a new one, until we saw what they look like – boring! So, we may have to drive ours into the ground, or buy a used 2015, which is the last year that they had the nice look. It would also be nice to have one with a back up camera, which I believe was already standard in 2015.

69°F and .73 inches rain last 24 hours. Ready for a dry day, more importantly a sunny day for my solar electric. I am going to add a bit to my battery capacity another 3 batteries just for a bit more cushion.

Don, I’m with you on the reward, confusing. While I would likely favor the lower end, I’m sure my wife would immediately go the higher route.

Be safe
Have a great day.

49F and mostly sunny @ 13:00, high today 53F. 66F forecast for tomorrow ... after that it looks like it will be quite awhile before we see any more highs in the 60's. Chance of snow showers this coming Sunday and Monday.

Hoping Whipper makes a safe return.

It wasn’t that old, it’s a Genie model 800/2202, taking it apart showed the transformer shorted and caught the wiring on fire, melted a little of the housing.

Hope Wiper comes home soon, Don. Who's protecting the pasture while she's gone?

We are unprotected and the coyotes are getting braver and closer to the house without the challenge Whipper would give them.
Gray2 is in great peril.
Coyote prints are 100 ft from the house now and closing in each day.

No more calls from the wanted posters.

I dont like the new look either. Even crv has the sloped down back.

My 2013 has backup camera.
