Good morning!!!!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 60° with light rain light morning. Heading to 78° with sun in afternoon. Another .17" of rain overnight. Yesterday a very nice. Got windows washer inside and outside with wife's help. Got look at the todo list to decide what I am going to get done today.
Eric, used my vernier calipers the other day. Looked for some time. Then they suddenly appeared right next to where I had been looking. :mur: I wonder if I could take grandkids out of school to help me with my projects. BTW, don't you need a thimble to protect rope where goes thru the steel eye?
Good Morning All.

just sprinkles here, rain not making it to the coast. Wet weather for two days predicted, hope some of it comes down, if only for my neighbor's field of collard plants sitting in dry dust.

Busy day today, go get my truck back from the shop. Then I head up to the Massey dealer and inspect that little Massey again and find out if they make a loader for it. Even if not, it has value. Very few SCUTS in this area used. This tractor alone was 14k new in 1997. Less than 1000 hours and $5K, which I thought was reasonable if everything worked. Front right differential had a leak, that for sure is on their list. Otherwise tractor was remarkably dry underneath.

My mega pile of Gravely red rattle cans has a big dent in it. Finished the wing mower deck yesterday, now I work on the frame. Looks pretty ugly up close but really nice from ten feet back. Sometimes that's as good as it gets...when I do the next deck I'll obsess over the painting a little more. Now I'm more motivated to repaint the Gravely to match its nice wing mower. I took that garden tractor down to the frame about 12 years ago, and a huge amount of use since then. Some of that use has been abuse, like hauling a much too heavy wagon with it, but perhaps the new little Massey will help out there. Everyone gets a job.

Most of the rain is missing us to the west and north, the little we got yesterday didn’t help much, still hot and humid, about ten degrees above normal.

Good Morning!
46F and the forecast is for partly cloudy and a high of 72.
I've got nothing planned for today, except for an early night as I will need to get up and out at 4A.M. in order to stay on schedule for tomorrow.

72 degrees right now, and the Dallas Fox News is forecasting a new record high of 96 today. The NWS thinks it'll only get to 93 out north here, and even a slight chance of some rain. I got the yard all mowed, edged, and trimmed yesterday morning, so it sure needs some rain.

Need some more coffee, gotta get some things done around here. We got some rain last night that I don’t think was forecasted. Used my tractor yesterday to improve the drainage around my barn. Worked out pretty good. Kubota rules!!

Good Morning!!!! 63F @ 5:30AM. % Precip. / 0.00 in. Sunny. High around 80F. NE winds shifting to S at 10 to 20 mph.

Nice work on the welding, Eric. Does the other end of that rope hook up to a tractor somehow?

High winds overnight fanned the flames of almost a dozen wildfires, likely caused by power lines either falling or interacting with trees. Two are over a thousand acres, one has closed Highway 70 about ten miles south of here. The winds are from the north, so no danger here, but several homes and outbuildings have been lost. Also a large number of fire starts in Napa and Sonoma counties for the same reasons. Heck of a way to start off the new week.

Finished the transmission tool yesterday and removed the damaged flange. Turns out it's an "old style" one that uses a Woodruff key, another instance where a part significantly pre-dates the manufacture date of the bike. Unfortunately, the details of how this came to be are lost in the mists of time. New parts on order, likely be another three or four weeks before they arrive though.

Took a pic of the cleaned up valve covers after they'd been shot peened. Came out pretty well.

Yesterday evening I visited with the neighbors that purchased the ex-meth lab property next to them, cleaning up a huge eyesore for the neighborhood in the process. They're making great progress converting what was once a roof structure over a 40' house trailer into an entertainment center they hope to rent out for weddings. Lots of concrete in a big slab, steps, and retaining walls, a new concrete bar and small kitchen, men's and lady's bathrooms, etc. He asked if I knew anything that could be used to stain a newer composite shingle roof, as it doesn't match the new color scheme they've chosen. Anybody used anything like that before?

Hope everybody's week gets off to a good start!

The low this morning was 22*, yesterday's high was 50*. Today's going to in the in the mid 40's, sun in the afternoon with wind out of the East at about 10-15. We did get a lite dusting of snow overnight maybe a inch or so.

I got a trench dug for a neighbor yesterday, it was only about 15 ft long. And went to town with another neighbor to help load his skid steer he had been using at a job there.

Some time this week l need to get the snowblower on the tractor. But I think I'll wait for a nicer day. I have to drop the loader and backhoe. It takes me a couple of hours to get it done. Not sure why. It will stay on tell next spring.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

69 this morning and headed to 83 today.

Go check cows and chickens when wife gets back from dermatologist appointment. She has some moles that need removal. Hopefully they go better than the one I had done a couple of weeks ago. It wouldn't numb. Mainly because it had an abscess under it. Yeah I waited to long on it but it was benign.

Up for pxx break. I swear every med I get makes me pee.

Farmer, I am surprised you get that much rain. That much here would cause a lot of flooding. Well, back to try to sleep.

We did have some flooding. Mostly places that flood when a frog pisses. The rivers were low from the summer so they had plenty of storage room. What we had mainly was small stream flooding. Where it just couldn't run off fast enough, although I did see some larger creeks starting to back out into bottom land. All flood warnings are gone so those should be down also this morning.
I'm only about 2 miles from the Green River. This section of river is the first closed section up stream from Rochester Dam down stream of Woodbury Dam. Green River (Kentucky) - Wikipedia
