Don, if you are measuring 13.4 V, is that with or without the charger connected ?

While you are charging, the only way to be sure how full it is is to measure current. If you disconnected the charger and read 13.4 V, then that's going to be pretty close - leave it a while to settle, then measure again. A fully charged battery will read about 12.6V

The 12.2 V you got before charging was a good sign that the battery hadn't fully discharged, so is likely to be in good condition.

Good morning all. 46 going to 70 and sunny today. Tired today, allowed myself to get stressed yesterday and stress helps lyme to flare up. Good thing wife is feeling better. The boy's back is hurting so that walking is hard on him. the Dr's wont give him more pain pills because of his slow bowl and won't work on it because of soft bones. Breaks my heart. Planning to close the pool today not much else.

Praying for Florida and Texas.

Good morning.
Had to make an impromptu run to another town yesterday to get my new company truck. I had been waiting on it for about a year and a half but the process for ordering it was convoluted and took forever. I had a rental so wasn't really bugged about it. Was a little bit irritated that it just got dropped off at a dealer 80 miles away and then a phone call of your truck is here. Nothing from anybody in over a year previous. Nice truck though and a lunch out with my wife in a different town was fun.
I didn't get much done yesterday. Refilled the deer feeder and discovered the battery dead so back to town for a square 6 volt. Them are getting harder to find!
Today? Start putting the implements away and puttering on some of the little things she wants done before I leave out on Monday. Maybe at least get the trees that are down in the back 40 off the ground to prevent them rotting away before I get to them.

12.7 volt is a fully charged battery. You need to take that reading after disconnecting charger for 1 hour or more. 13.4 is a maintaining voltage. But will boil away water over a period of time. 13.0 would be a better maintain voltage. For reference a discharged battery is 12.0 volts.

Spent a nice afternoon in town strolling with wife...found a great place for an afternoon tapas snack with wine for her, coffee for me. Then to the hardware and grocery stores and home for some NC bar-b-que...son drove up from NC late after work and we stayed up until 1am debating federal tax system among other more interesting topics. He's a late sleeper on weekends, so if we go to the mountains, we'll leave home about the time I would normally be half done with a hike.

Saw a picture of Harvey and Irma last night...a couple celebrating their 75th anniversary out in Spokane.

The low was 42*, feels colder with the breeze, yesterday's high was 82*. Today is going to be in the the high 70's with afternoon showers.

My daughters boyfriend drew a nonresident deer permit for up here. They are going to come up so I can show him some of the country this weekend.
I'll work on the deck tell they get here this afternoon.

53 this morning and headed to 79 today.

Finish washing the outsides and go to lunch with wife. That's about all that's planned for today.

Figured out the furnace problem yesterday and ordered parts. The blower for the combustion air is bad. Called repair guy I use, he said he thought it came as an assembly so no need to figure out if squirrel cage or motor. But out of town so no parts till Monday.

Drew. 6.55 lb average but you were close. Probably close to total meat weight of 5 pounds.

Eric. Temperatures will increase from solar gains but these are long narrow windows set in horizontally close to the eves. So hopefully we will get more light than heat. The test windows were more square and set lower. They gained about 3 degrees of operating temperature. It's being mandated by the third party that sets the regulations for this type of bird. We raise birds under the Global Animal Partnership level 2 rules.
