Good morning!!!!

the local Sears store, a small outlet, shut down earlier this year when the owner retired and Sears could not get anyone to run the place or take it over.
They had a couple of corporate suits in there babysitting it for a few months, then they shut it down.
All my kitchen appliances are from there, washer/dryer, have always been bought at Sears.

Just took second shower of day. Now I'm really done... heat index of 104 at the moment, not much fun even in the shade.
got blades changed in both mowers, should last for rest of season. Then mowed the fruit orchard and found caterpillars in there.
Will be spraying the orchard tomorrow.

Our Local small Sears closed years ago and this year the large Sears in the mall in College Station closed. The year before their mower service/parts across from the mall closed.

I would hate to see Sears totally go. Always thought they coulda, shoulda been a better Amazon. Their hedge fund CEO really destroyed them IMHO. We have all our major appliances on the warranty program (the 10 unit program). Not a fan of extended warranties, but our environment is not kind to appliances. I wonder if there are changes about as the confirmation call this morning never mentioned Sears nor did I recognize the name.

71 this morning and made it to 90. Heat index got to 105 right before the storms started. Couple of quick showers more tomorrow.

Changed out a fan motor today in chicken coops and then started wiring in some lights and receptacles in barn. Put a disconnect on each side, as this area needs to be generator serviceable during a power outage. Will have lights, outlets, and feed auger in this section. Hung 2 of Sam's clubs 48 inch LED lights. One over feed scales and the other over the head gate. Need to find something to shine on outside load out.

Drew. Keep practicing. An old coat hanger can help add additional filler material. Thin metal=thin rods. Hopefully your using a 3/32 rod and not an 1/8".

Eric. Nice *******.

Good evening all. 80F and overcast, and windy. Stayed windy all day, skies went to partly cloudy, and high temp was 93F(HI 103F). Possible rain overnight. Men's meeting this morning followed by bike ride, then finish lawn from yesterday. Need to get glasses from Sherman, will take bike in for checkup, making noise it should not and I can't track it down.

Ron hope and pray your wife is better.

Don, nice pool pics. Like the color :) Did the valves on the Ford, at about 1300 hours (800 hrs interval in book), very minimal adjustment on them. Motorcycle was same way except had shims to replace not screw/jam nut adjusters.

Welcome Rosie :welcome:

Eric nice *******, glad you held out for a shot gun you would shoot

Thought I might share a bit more about Macadamia nuts:
IMG_8773.JPG

On the left, the non tourist version like you saw in the 5 gallon buckets just dried a bit, you can see the husks splitting.
That's about all I'd husk without gloves and still not get blisters.

Pan on the right is the husked nuts. Ready to crack and eat or what I've been doing is just setting that pan in the gas oven and letting the Pilot light do a light roasting. I can just reach in the oven and remove a few, nicely warmed.

That is my cracker in the middle. It was a gift from friends a few years back, along with about 25 pounds of husked nuts. Back then that little cracker was about $100. Macnuts are extremely hard, one would not crack very many, if any with the more traditional squeeze type nut cracker. 1 tourist type nut. 1 still in the jaws. Amazing how difficult it is to get the nut out whole.

Just one of those days where "best laid plans" came into play.

Got all the shelves mounted in the Twin suit, feeling quite good.
Went to install next to last shelf in King Suite - "oh crap"
Somehow managed to put the support on wrong :). This is a 3ft shelf and I don't have another piece of same cabinet plywood long enough. The support is attached via biscuit and glue. Somehow I was able to separate without much damage, get it cleaned up and put back properly. Fortunately, the only damaged area will not be visible as it will be under the trim. Phew!!!! Time consuming and now I have to wait for everything to set up. Tomorrow :)
