74.8F and partly cloudy @ 09:00, high of 89F predicted for today, with chances of a thunderstorm increasing to over 50% after 19:00. High hit 92.3F here yesterday.

Got a good bit of welding done on the soil screen frame yesterday before I quit. The arc started getting erratic ... stuck on a new tip and cleaned up the ground, checked the wire for rust ... nada. With as hot as it was yesterday, I suspect it may have been low voltage from all the power usage. Tried welding for a while with the AC off for a bit and that seemed to help ... but the temp inside the shop shot up 3 degrees to 80F in like 10 or 15 minutes ... and it wasn't a complete cure. Plan is to get up there here in a few and hit it before everybody else starts sucking up all the juice.

After I knocked off I did a little mowing up at the wood yard (in the shade) and then came down to the house and cleaned up the kitchen and made dinner for myself (Tuna Helper, which I love ... wife doesn't like it ... so she stopped and got Chipotle on the way home)

After dinner I went back out and finished the mowing up at the wood yard and then did some more mowing down here at the house before finally calling it a day.

I still cannot find my 20 foot chain. Wife thinks it's in the burn pile. Last time I used it was towards the end of winter, moving the milk vat out of the milk house. How does one misplace a 20 foot chain? LOL.

Use it to try and pull up a 4 x 4 post out of the ground which doesn't pull out, then leave it there and forget where you left it.

I figure it had been sitting there wrapped around the post for at least two years now ... will need to drag up and down the driveway a couple of time to knock some of the rust off.

That post never did come out ... I ended up snapping it off just below grade a few days ago ... and the chain came along with it ... :D

Now if I could only find the padded shoulder strap for the Stihl FS66 brushcutter ...

Best thing is they keep track of where I lay something down. Keeps me from spending what seems to be most of my time looking for last item touched. :confused2:

I distinctly remember rolling up my old belt after removing it from my pants the other day so they could go in the wash.

Trouble is, I can't remember what I did with it after that ...

73 this morning and headed to 96 today. Currently 87 with a dew point of 81. And you can feel it. House a/c already running. Won't shut off today.

Today is mowing day as I've scheduled a heat closure for tomorrow. All I'll do is take care of birds and check cows tomorrow, no helper. But today I want to finish the upstairs door and get my mowing done. It'll be a high water day.

Drew. The fan I'm looking at is a 54 inch solid aluminum fan. Or a 54 inch composite fan. But it still has galvanized motor supports. Aluminum fan has a blade about 3/8 inch thick.

By putting it in a 5 gallon bucket with lid and stack the bucket in among many paint buckets of the same size, very easily done. It took 2.5 years to find it.

I'm thinking about wearing a body-cam and log in the video of all my work at the house so I can find my things later by reviewing the videos.

78°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 102° again today (which was the "official" high yesterday). Stay hydrated, fellas.

Happy (belated) Birthday, Kyle.

Kyle,

Happy belated Birthday ! ... may you have many more ...

We're big fans of shortbread here ... wife makes her own from scratch occasionally when strawberries are in season ... she'd probably love that Lee County concoction you guys whipped up ... ;)

Thanks on the flower bed.

that's very low humidity RS, must feel good.
It feels very good ...

It will probably feel like a meat locker when I get up there in a bit ... I left the AC running overnight and set at 70F ...

And good for shop tools. Not going to rust at 16 percent right?
They shouldn't ... unfortunately it doesn't stay that way all the time.

The low was 50* this morning, the high was 89* yesterday. They are saying it's going to be cooler today with 30% chance of a shower.
We did get a nice afternoon storm yesterday. Not sure how much rain we got.

Not much planned for today. Just see how it goes.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
