56 going to 69. That should feel nice.
Drew, great job on that watering wagon. You may be out on it everyday later this summer, but may not need it this week...at least up here, every day and night weather icon on the National Weather Service forecast page is a rainy one.
The best watering improvement I've made is new handles for my 5 gallon buckets...those thin plastic grips on the buckets always crack and fall off the metal, and then the metal handle eats into my hand while carrying it full of water. So, I found a couple of fishing rods on the river bottom at the tail end of a white water section while kayaking. They were pretty messed up, so cut the handles off to fit the bucket handle...hack sawed a thin cut so they would slip over the metal. One is a cork handle, the other the dense foam...they feel great.
Put the grapple on yesterday to move some brush I cut last week. Glad I was wearing shorts so I could quickly feel a hydraulic leak spray on my leg while test opening the jaws. Turns out one of the fittings on my 3rd function had vibrated loose...I guess from hours of tilling and bush hogging. Took 10 seconds to retighten but about an hour cleaning up fluid from all over. I use to check for leaks each time I used the tractor for the first 10 times after I installed it back in April, but no leaks...then stopped checking...and it only leaked when operating the jaw so didn't notice until yesterday.
Re-tilled the part of the garden not yet planted, and will finish planting today, taking advantage of cooler cloudy weather.
