Kyle you got a lot done this weekend. I just fixed the self propelled on my walk behind snapper by replacing the drive ring and belt. Now it pulls me like a large dog.
I just noticed a new house on 309 has a white metal roof. It looks pretty like it has just snowed. What part will the insurance pick-up?
Don, old snappers are the best for simplicity. A drive wheel is a cheap way to repair a transmission. Probably less than $15

While I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth, they depreciated my old roof 60%...So it might help about 20-30% of the new roof.

Good morning! 67˚ cloudy.
My first instant pot finally bit the dust. A E6 (or was it 6C) was flashing which means the pressure sensor went bad. I ordered a new one. We cannot live with just one Instant Pot. While waiting for the Instant Pot to arrive I e-mailed Instant Pot about a part replacement. They sent back a email about a detail diagnostic procedure to go through and take pictures of the results. I did it and they send back instructions on how to cut the label on the back in half and send them the picture. I did and they sent me a new Instant Pot! Now I have 3. Guess what Mom's getting for her birthday. Instant Pot has great support on it's product.

Don, a bit of handiness would guess that you could take it apart and get a new pressure sensor. Possibly the connection just came loose or corroded.

Wow Kyle, I'm tired just reading that! I got my decks back in shape for the season. Yesterday we celebrated our daughter's birthday which is tomorrow, my baby girl will be 37, wow!

70's back today, gotta see if I can find some arbors for my mower deck.

Happy B'day to baby girl 37 years young.

Mower tune up time everybody!!!

Nice kitchens PJS and Lenny. Absolutely beautiful.

Hey everyone, when your finished tuning your mowers, we can have a new slide party at lennys. :)

Looking at lenny's slide project, I can say he was the busiest this past weekend.

Today at work was slow. I ordered a nused Dell computer and a 24" Ultrasharp monitor, and I was also a 3D plastic printer mechanic. Tomorrow I work on the 3D printer some more and I get to do a little Tig welding on 316 Stainless. 95% prep and 5% fun.

Here's ours done two years ago. They are quartz which were the same price. I built the cabinets and the kitchen from the walls out but wife hired someone to set the countertops while I was out of town working.

Kinda proud of this kitchen. From subfloor to Sheetrock and all electrical. Including the Edison looking lights. I did it. Wife did the brick looking tiles which were handmade recycled glass.

Looks very nice!

Good evening all. 52F this morning and cloudy and calm, .2 in in the rain gauge, and no hail last night. More weather in the forecast for Tuesday/Wednesday time frame. Clouds broke up about 12 noon, wind stayed down today and new tire gauge told me I was inflating tires wrong :). Got a new GPS and set it up, tried it out on today's bike ride and it worked well :dance1:

Nice job.

WOW!!
From the angle of the pic it looks like there is a 4' vertical drop in the middle of that slide. I'd say my bones would be too brittle to come out of the bottom without serious injury. We might need a pic from a different angle - maybe from the inside of the slide at the top looking down - you are scaring me.

Eric, what tool is this, a shovel, a hoe, or something in-between?

I use a weed popper.
Garden Weasel Weed Popper - YouTube

Ed reckoned the secret was to slice off thistles an inch or two below the surface. The tool you showed looks good for lawns. The thistles I am after are mostly in sloping grass banks and there are quite a lot, so I need something that works fast. I tried a sharp hoe like Ed suggested, but found it wasn't really heavy enough to penetrate the pasture, so I cut down a broken drain spade. All it takes with that is a single jab with just with the force of my right arm, guided by my left. When I get a good rhythm going I can get each one in less than a couple of seconds.

Good morning, a sopping wet mist is rolling around outside, wish the sun could break through and chase it away.

Last year I made up 6 raised beds for my wife and late yesterday afternoon I started on the final one. You know the saying "more haste, less speed", well that's certainly true if you upset a 1/2" auger bit and it retaliates by breaking off inside an oak sleeper.

Last bed.jpg

Lenny, that looks great fun ! With all those steps to climb to do it again and again and again, your grand daughter should be ready for some quality sleep on her next visit.

60 this morning nice gentle thunderstorm woke me up. High of 74 later today more chances of rain thru mid day.

Looks like SE is going to turn stormy and wet for the next three weeks or so good news for farmers and gardeners

60 out this AM. Chance of rain. Yesterday while sitting next to the pool, a big gray cloud came over and dumped about 100 rain drops on us. That was our 50 percent chance of rain for the day. Talk about a weird weather event. We seem to be in that mode where I don't know what to do with the "lawn". Fertilize with weedkiller or cut the weeds with a mower. One thing is for sure, everything has greened up. Unfortunate my area is tagged as severe drought conditions. The VFD has been busy with roadside blazes these past few days.

Be safe all, have a productive and great day.

32F foggy upper 40's for high late day rain so the weather man saying...that should loosen the snow for melt.
1 1/2" slush/slop to push and shovel last evening.

Students back from spring break yesterday all tan and tried and complaining about the weather etc. etc.,almost wanted to say you haven't seen nothing yet wait until the cord cut between you and mom and dad.

Enjoy the day all.

63 going to 75, no rain yet, but coming this way.

Fantastic looking kitchens, guys...and I'd love to try out that slide...looks like the kind at water parks...Lenny, you can hook a hose up to it, right? :)

Had a red tail hawk follow me around for most of the 3.5 hours I was bush hogging a field yesterday...they've learned that birds or field rodents flush from the tractor's approach. I did flush something unusual up on the hill - a woodcock, but the hawk didn't get it.

Found a patch of wild grape hyacinths blooming and a crawfish walking on the creek bottom during the Coco hike yesterday.

No doubt from carelessly tossed cigarette stubs.

Good morning all! 33 going to 46 with light rain. Wind N 8 mph

Preventive maintenance is going to be expensive on the Jeep today. New heater hoses, new top and bottom rad hoses and a fresh 60/40 mix of antifreeze. I have had the Jeep since 2005 and it has never been done, it is due. I am tossing around the idea of recharging the A/C too. I doubt the previous owner did it as he had leased it from new.

61 warm degrees going up to 77 in light rain today, maybe a third of an inch.
have errands to run this morning, food run, then back to wait for cable guy this afternoon.
Instead of making a straight line as we had discussed, my helper went a little wide and curvaceous in his
bed design and ran the sod cutter right through the cable line. Which I personally had laid only two inches under the ground with
a spade as I didn't want Suddenlink coming in here with a trencher, particularly in the area of my septic system.
best laid plans/cable of mice and men...

neck is very sore this morning, no surprise, heat pack on it helps.

of course this will make the lawns go bonkers but hey Spring is here, high seventies here all week.

Good morning! 69˚ now heading to the mid 80s, cloudy, 20 mph winds from the Gulf.

Our native berry, Dewberry, crop is looking good this year. If it rains overnight, like expected, it will make them plump and juicy. They at their green stage now just waiting to turn red and finally purple/black.

Eric is your drain spade a trenching shovel or a sharpshooter?
