34 and going to a high of 39. Freezing rain warning in effect. Rained most of yesterday and none froze, thankfully.

I can't wait for the 'half load' season to be finished. Then I can order my 6 loads of pitrun gravel. I cannot justify paying out full load price for a half a load of gravel. If I wait a couple of weeks, I can get a full load for the same price.

Good morning! 67˚ cloudy.
My first instant pot finally bit the dust. A E6 (or was it 6C) was flashing which means the pressure sensor went bad. I ordered a new one. We cannot live with just one Instant Pot. While waiting for the Instant Pot to arrive I e-mailed Instant Pot about a part replacement. They sent back a email about a detail diagnostic procedure to go through and take pictures of the results. I did it and they send back instructions on how to cut the label on the back in half and send them the picture. I did and they sent me a new Instant Pot! Now I have 3. Guess what Mom's getting for her birthday. Instant Pot has great support on it's product.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 62° with mostly clear skies. Heading to 81° with mostly sunny skies. Nothing planned for today. Maybe patio time.
Good Morning All.

Good Morning! 45F @ 5:15AM. A few showers this morning with mostly sunny conditions during the afternoon hours. High 58F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

Took all day to drop 0.4" of rain yesterday, and only another 0.1" since midnight. Radar sez it's all east of me now, so today should start a dry out that'll last most of the week. Should make it back into the low 70s by mid week with another chance of showers on Wednesday.

Knock it off, Kyle, yer makin' the rest of us look bad (again)! Poor ol' Rip's gonna kill himself tryin' to keep up, and Lenny, too. Not to mention what's gonna happen when RS reads your post...

Around here, L4N, they could give the gravel away and just charge for hauling it and still make out like bandits!

DVDs for the last half of season 3 of the old Route 66 TV series arrived from Amazon Saturday, so I got busy converting them to MP4 files to host on the media server. Two of the four discs wouldn't play, and when I checked the Amazon reviews it turns out I'm not the only one to have problems. As usual with Prime purchases, a few clicks and I had a pre-paid mailing label ready to ship the thing back for replacement. Good to know that Instant Pot has a similar warranty policy, Don. Although at the rate I use mine, it'll be someone else that gets the new one.

One thing that struck me as I worked with the Route 66 DVDs is that there were over 30 one hour episodes for the first three seasons (only 23 for the last one). That means they shot film for an episode in less than two weeks (assuming they worked all year 'round)! Nowadays we're lucky to get six episodes for some new shows, and even luckier if they get the OK to run another year! Just another sign of the approaching apocalypse I guess. :confused2:

Shaped up the epoxy that was applied to the speedo housing on the van last week and learned it needed another layer, so mixed up a batch and used the leftovers to alter the power resistor bracket for the fan speed control. The resistor is one of those big ceramic jobs, and the new one is about 3/4" longer than the old one. The bracket is spring steel, and holds the resistor by the ends, so I cut it in half in the middle and made a piece of stainless steel with a hole in the center for a screw to clamp over the two pieces once they were moved far enough apart to fit. It'll be interesting to see if the epoxy set overnight, as it was only in the low 40s out there in the garage.

Got another tax document in the mail Saturday as well, so I'll take another swing at 'em today. Hopefully that's the last of 'em.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!

Good morning all.
Had beautiful weather for the weekend. Got my geothermal heat pump all the way to the attic (3 floor up) and in place but not yet running because I had to get a new transition piece made to fit with the existing plenum.
Finally got back to working to finish my ground floor. Got the wiring in a bath room completed and just started on putting the sheet rock up. Here's a funny one: I measured carefully for a ceiling piece that has to fit round a couple floor pilings. Then I cut a mirror image of it on a 8 ft long sheet rock. Then it's either put it up with the wrong side facing down or cut a new piece. I chose to destroy the evidence and cut a new piece so my lady won't laugh at me.
Woke up this morning with heavy congestion and a head ache. Feel like I've caught the flu.

Wow Kyle, I'm tired just reading that! I got my decks back in shape for the season. Yesterday we celebrated our daughter's birthday which is tomorrow, my baby girl will be 37, wow!

70's back today, gotta see if I can find some arbors for my mower deck.

47°F and rain this morning, going up to 64° today. Looks like it's going to rain most of the day here. Rather wet most of the weekend, so no tractoring at all.

Hope none of our downunder friends here are in the path of Cyclone Debbie.

Spent (too) much of the weekend in the upstairs bathroom installing fixtures. It shouldn't be that much of a pain to merge old and new plumbing, and yet ...
I hate plumbing.

The new granite countertops arrived this morning, and will be installed today. Carpenter is coming back tomorrow to finish off some of the little details and trim, and the kitchen will be done! :dance1:

I felt awful Thursday evening and into Friday most of the day; headache, dizzy, fever chills, no appetite. By Saturday, I felt fine again. :confused3:

I hope I get better soon. As it is now I am sitting in my office feeling miserable and grumpy. I'm almost feeling sorry for the poor souls in my department meeting that's coming up in a few minutes. I've been told they are a bit afraid of my scowl.

66°F and no rain since midnight. Just enough to yesterday to get the roof wet and make me get off it.

Be safe
Have a great day

Got the Super Spiral tube slide installed yesterday. That was an adventure! It comes of the main deck down to the ground level but since I live on a slope, the bottom is about 2 ft off the grade. I knew that and now will make a landing area in front of it.
3 years old granddaughter shows up Saturday so I gotta stay after it. Used the tractor to carry it around from shop. 95 3/4" bolts to assemble! Thank god for small cordless impacts.
Work today for 1/2 day on my real job with payroll & conference calls then back at it if weather permits. Storms rolled in here in SE Oklahoma last night.
First cup poured and away we go!

No pic??

I seem to have caught a cold myself... felt a bit congested, got worse over weekend..

Friday, my daughter was all set to go bed and discovered that her daughter had locked the bedroom door (and no one knows where the key is)... I got it open and replaced the lockset Saturday. We went ahead and got a couple more exterior locksets (adding deadbolts to two of the exterior doors that have windows (double keyed).. I got the locks changed on the garage man door, but the two dead bolts will have to wait. After watching the gal at Lowes rekey 6 cylinders, I am sure I can do it myself.. so next locks will likely be purchased online and I'll rekey (after buying kit).

almost there PJ, looks super.

first hour of my drive home getting to the PA Turnpike and down the Blue Route I never got over 35 in driving rain and fog. Just lovely.
Hard enough to turn off all the forward cameras on my Outback with lots of unhelpful beeping and flashing lights while I was trying to
see where I was going .
About five miles west it cleared out and the day improved greatly. Until I got home and found my firemen helpers had cut my cable/internet line
despite all my precautions, putting in a new rear garden right in the area all the lines come in. Thankfully I have Verizon mifi for backup until they fix the
cable tomorrow. I should fix it myself; having owned a Radio Shack I certainly know how to strip wires and squeeze an F connector but I don't have the signal strength meter they have.

went out and watered some flower pots and for sure called it a day.

hope everyone feels better.

Beautiful day, mid 70's, worked in the garage and shop most of the day, watched F-18's flying over several times. Sunny most of the day. Smelling the Eastern Shore fertilizer around on some of the fields, (chicken manure).

That's great! We are thinking of replacing ours next fall. It's black with sone gold flecks, which we don't like and it wasn't supposed to have. Yours appears to have white in it?

Here's ours done two years ago. They are quartz which were the same price. I built the cabinets and the kitchen from the walls out but wife hired someone to set the countertops while I was out of town working.

Kinda proud of this kitchen. From subfloor to Sheetrock and all electrical. Including the Edison looking lights. I did it. Wife did the brick looking tiles which were handmade recycled glass.
