Good evening all. 50F this morning and breezy, cold front came through last night. Temps did come up to 63F, windy most of the day, and severe clear. Men's meeting this morning followed by a bike ride which was very windy then lunch. Wife and I relayed napped today then went and retrieved the pickup, $700 for BCM and 200 for transmission service and almost $50 for the government :(. Then dinner in town with stepdaughter and wife :)

Really windy here, 45 mph gusts reported. I was going to take my dogs for a walk, but I saw the trees bending over, it was cold, I changed my mind. My boxer girl ran back to the house, waited at the door for me. She went in, jumped on her couch, wanted no part of a walk in the cold. Smart dog!

Would someone turn down the wind? Please?

Good morning. Wet 'n' windy here too. Not seen any lions, which is good news for the early March lambs :)

A neighbor showed me round some of their chickens. They concentrate on rare breeds that are sold to other breeders. The avian flue outbreak is not making their lives easy, nothing can go out in an open run. One of their specialties is the Lakenvelder, as they can produce very large birds and the young ones are "spotless", which it would seem is very desirable for poultry shows. It was very interesting, though certainly not on the scale of farmer2009.

39 high of 50 today very windy this morning but should calm down after lunch. A short return to winter low tonight of 24 high of 44 for tomorrow before 60s make their return. Lots of bulbs up forsythia blooming with the Bradford Pears making their annual white flower show. Early for us and surely the cold snap tonight will do it's damage

30F now winds ar sounding loud low 40's for high.

While putter outside last evening one could smell taste spring in the air, indeed a tease knowing old man winter still around.

Enjoy the day all.

63 here today, high for today, temps dropping all day in clearing weather.
have no idea how much rain we got last night but heard the wild moaning of the dryer and kitchen
exhaust vents, wind was coming from an odd direction and I had a strange symphony going for a little while.

Temps tonight staying above freezing, but Friday morning not good here, down to 28, the sheets will come out on a few plants but orchards will have to fend for themselves. Not getting up at 4am to spray water on trees.

I think I might work on my mower deck renovation and do some metal cutting today. Or until I take the chipper off the tractor, I might go through the front woods, small parcel, and clear out some of the dead wood, some dead small standers, some junky trees that really need to get cleaned out to leave more room and light for the nicer trees.

44 out this AM. The storms that came through yesterday afternoon smashed this area pretty hard with just intense winds. Lots of trees down, my SO counted seven between the farm and the main road. Big road blocker types. She got caught out there and took two hours to get home from a 15 minute ride. I think the MCB at Quantico reported a 78 MPH gust. And the local news reported lots of houses damaged up north from us. Now, the temp is falling and we are expecting freezing weather the next few nights. Roller coaster temps look to be the order of the next few days.

Be safe all, have a great day.

Zero and going to a high of 18. 20 mph winds and there is 6" of snow to move.
I was always told 'never sell March short.' We can expect a mixed bag in March and lots of snow. She came in like a lamb as far as I can see. 6" of snow and hardly any wind although that might have changed after I went to bed. I cannot see any drifts here.

2017-03-02,

47 here in Hartford CT...that's about where it's going to stay today...

AS 9100 training wasn't as boring as it could be...the consultant doing the training is keeping it pretty fast paced...which is good. The company lead auditor (I'm an auditor at another site in NH) talks to much and, even worse, he talks too much about himself.

Had a VERY embarrassing situation last night...after a glass of wine and three beers (and a very long day!), I went to bed. Anyway, I got up in the middle of the night...I guess to take a leak. Went out the door and...OH BOY!! I was in the hallway...in my skivvies...no door card and had to piss like a race horse. Oh brother! Fortunately, another guest was up (taking her dog out to pee, I guess) and she contacted the front desk...her hubby tossed me a towel to wrap about my waist.
Don't know if I was walking in my sleep and just got totally disoriented or what...but that's the truth and I'm stickin' to it!

44 going to 57. Stuff blew all over the place yesterday...and finally took down a tall dead pine I had put off cutting back in my woods along the driving path.

Should get down below freezing the next 3 nights...so much is blooming, but not the fruit trees, thank goodness.

The Carolina wrens have nested in my wife's kayak...I built a rack on the side of the barn wall, and hung our kayaks, but didn't put a cover over the cockpits. I went down to work on my tiller, which is parked next to it, and the wren flew out of the kayak, and barked at me...big nest up in the foot area...last year they tried to nest under the seat of my tractor. I'll have to hitch up the tiller and take it somewhere else to replace the blades. We love the wrens. Every morning they have a different song to sing while I'm out with Coco...Today's song/call was "Secret, secret" so a little Mr. Roboto on YouTube is in order.

Domo arigato.

RNG, definitely looking for your review on that endoscope cam. I've been interested in trying one for a couple of jobs.

Good Morning! 48F @ 5:00AM. Sunny. High 61F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

March was very lambish yesterday, with sunny blue skies, no wind, and low 60s temps. We get a repeat today, then cloudy but still warm Friday, then another front brings rain for the weekend into Monday. Some could be heavy, but an inch over a day's span will keep the grass growing.

I'll post some pics when the endoscope shows up Wng, but that slow boat from China will probably take the better part of a month.

Got one bucket for the driving lights cut, bent, and welded yesterday, and the mounting holes for the light drilled. Then found I'd oriented the light 90 degrees off, so get to drill the holes again today. The second one should go much more quickly, hopefully enough so that I can get a coat of paint on everything before the end of the day.

Good morning! A mostly sunny 43˚ heading to 64˚. No freeze the last month and no freeze predicted for the next 15 days, is that it, winter is over?

Roy you sound like you had a very bad dream.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 51° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 76° with sunny skies. Good day at the range yesterday. Got both pistols sighted in. Never got any patio time. Top of the list today.
Hope all are being safe with the bad weather moving across the Midwest.
Good Morning All.

Here is Eastern Canada it is 9 degrees Celsius today. With maple syrup season just around the corner, I wanted to check how accessible the woodlot / sugarbush was. The ATV broke through the crust and got stuck in 3 feet of snow 1/2 mile in the woods. Also there was hardship retrieving my ATV trailer. Here is a video of the days events. I ended up playing a bit a classical guitar but the 6 white tail deer are the stars. Even though there is 3 feet of snow in the woods it is good to see some signs of the coming of spring.

30°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 52° today. Left for work yesterday with no coat, and had to scrape frost off the windshield this morning. Mid-40s tomorrow, and near 70° for the weekend.

Hope everyone has survived the storms intact. We still haven't found the outside cat's food bowl. It may have made it's way into the lake.
