Good morning!!!!

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 59° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 81° with partly cloudy skies. Turned out to be a busy day yesterday. Went to a baseball game with A's and Rangers. It's a big thing here. Spring training games are a big thing. Plan to relax on patio as weather gets warmer next few days.
Good Morning All.

Good morning! 38˚ heading to 68˚ sunny. Mom found out yesterday that her metal hip needs replacing after metal was found in her blood. That hip only lasted 9 years. Now she is considered high risk for surgery.

20 below and sunny, going to a high of 10 above. Flurries later today. I'm not going to do much today except feed the stove.

Good Morning! 47F @ 6:15AM. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 58F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.

That's a very nice view, Lenny. I know your hands are somewhat tied, but did your wife at least call a few references for the installers? Way too many fly-by-night outfits out there to not be careful. And I include Home Depot in the fly-by-night category:confused2: Otherwise that north of $8k figure sounds like a good investment in domestic tranquility.

Ended up getting sidetracked by paperwork yesterday and only finishing one side of the driving light conversion, then cutting and bending the new bucket for the other side. So I'm pretty much were I started on the first one. Today's an in town day, so it might be a week or so before I can run the blaster to prep the new parts and get some paint on 'em. I'll drop by the mechanic's today to see what the latest excuses are and will know more then...

TGIF gang.:drink:

27°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 52° today. We should be near 70° again tomorrow.

RNG, go ahead and include Lowe's in that category, too. They could benefit from a strong communication course at the very least. Pre-construction walk-through and inventory is supposed to happen this morning, and we still don't have everything. Wife was told twice yesterday by two different people that the last items (shower, interior doors, and trim) were "out for delivery." When they didn't show up, she started calling again. A lady there told her they had until 8pm to make their deliveries. She called back at 8:15, and was told the stuff never actually left their store. She. Was. Furious. There is another entertaining thread here about a raging redhead ... a raging dark-haired Cherokee/Choctaw mix is no walk in the park either, I can tell you.

Working with the local craftsmen we hired for the carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electric has been pretty smooth sailing, for the most part. Dealing with the people at Lowe's and their continued incompetence, on the other hand, has been a nightmare from the moment we signed the check. Definitely a "lessons learned" experience.

Mid 30's this morning, 40's later, 20° tonight, 18° tomorrow night, with 37° tomorrow. At least it's going to warm back up starting Monday. Guy is coming to get the boat off my trailer tomorrow so I can start my trailer build.

66°F and no rain since midnight

Made decent progress on PV yesterday. Hope to tweak and finalize that effort today.

Wife and friend off early this morning to see the lava hose from a boat tour. Just me, the boxers, and the kitten to fend for ourselves this morning.

Be safe
Have a great day

I got chased into the house by a snow squall.

Sheesh....

I was hoping to do some more clean-up around my silo. I might start the wood stove instead.

Crazy weather...

22 and headed for 15. Ok, I want spring. Now, please. Went over my rental, I need to paint, and update a few things. This will keep me busy for about a month. I think I have a renter interested already, so it might be easy to get things rolling here.

Be safe guys

Here is Eastern Canada it is 9 degrees Celsius today. With maple syrup season just around the corner, I wanted to check how accessible the woodlot / sugarbush was. The ATV broke through the crust and got stuck in 3 feet of snow 1/2 mile in the woods. Also there was hardship retrieving my ATV trailer. Here is a video of the days events. I ended up playing a bit a classical guitar but the 6 white tail deer are the stars. Even though there is 3 feet of snow in the woods it is good to see some signs of the coming of spring.

Welcome! enjoyed the video. Looks coooold! People down here put an electric winch on their ATVs for mud. Looks like you could use one for snow, or borrow catfever's old sled.

Roy, keep your pants on when travelling! TMI...

Dead skunk in the road count hovering around 6-7 for my commute.

Got my FIL's snapper front wheel rims painted, and put new tires on too. Now the carburetor is overflowing from ethanol gas. Float is stuck down. Another job on the list.

The barn floor has been cleaned a bit with the Echo blower. That was my only high wind of the day. Y'all hunker down in those winds.

Good evening all. 40F this morning, severe clear and calm wind. Temp made it to 70F, winds were frisky out of the south, and high clouds moved in during the day. Sprayed the lawn for weeds this morning, then went riding before the wind kicked up and missed the worst of it. Also got a nap in this afternoon.

PJ sorry to hear about your troubles with Lowes, I generally have good luck with them.

Roy TMI :)

Lenny, very nice view :)

Drew you can send some firewood this way:D

Eric, project looks great. Just hope the antique timbers were harvested in the correct month....After hearing about hedge trimming, I'm still aghast.

Don, how much are organic mudpies?

Catfever, I watched a show about high power sleds and it was exciting. They have one that is like a dirt bike. Are those any good? Probably not for submarining.

Sorry for the late reply, been busy.

I have never ridden one of the snow bikes. I hear they are fun and maneuverable but I don't think they'll hang with a sled in deep powder.

Starting to get a little warmer here. 40s and 50s in the valley. Still waiting for my fields to dry out enough to get the fertilizer truck in there. I took my back blade off the tractor today and hooked up the spring tooth so I'll be ready to prepare my fields for seeding.

Here's a shot of my last trip sledding.

One other thing worth mentioning; my brother made an offer on a ranch in southeast Idaho. It was accepted. 300 acres, 2 homes, assorted barns, plenty of water with running streams and a pond. He plans to raise about 100 head of low line angus cows. Ya I'm jealous.

Good morning. Lambs all survived another wet night, helped by the temperature raising a good few degrees.

Hope you had a good fishing trip Lenny. When I was young I was taken out fishing from Falmouth, a port just west along the coastline from where your friend lived in Exeter. We were in a small boat after mackerel. So was the Mako shark that just wouldn't leave us alone . Fortunately it was well before jaws was filmed, so I escaped any nightmares :)

I wonder if those of you with copius amounts of homemade electricity from solar panels will be the first to ditch diesel and buy something like this ?

 I would have stayed with the kitten too.

2017-03-04,

5 degrees right now...only going to hit 10 or 11 degrees as the high today.
It's always nice to be back home which, I'm sure, you'll all agree. The pup, Bella, was thrilled and just couldn't stop greeting me with enthusiastic licking.

Dump run this morning...after that, I have some catch work to do for the company.

Eric, doesn't say how long it take to recharge that Deere's batteries, does it? I.m think 4 hours run time...8-10 hours recharging time. Not a very productive workday unless the farm has two (or more) of those machines.

-20 and looking at a high of 12 above. The sky will be clear at least.
Happy Saturday, all!

Cat Fever, your pictures are really wonderful. 31 out dropping still to 28, sheets out on plants and veggies, fruit trees are on their own.
Bad leg cramps last night from doing a bit much in the woods yesterday, despite wanting to go right back out again today. I think I'll give it a day...though this cold weather is perfect for this. Too cold to work in the barn, might have to go back out and attack a downed tree.

28 this morning high of 46 today hopefully not as much wind as yesterday. Lots of snow showers going on too. Cut more trees around building now almost ready for dirt and lots of it probably 20 to 30 loads of it. Filling in a nice sized hollow. Next area to attack beside driveway on the other side of the creek. More tree cutting and grubbing. Plan on renting grapple to fit front of skid loader.

All tile in bathroom sealed, electrical boxes moved to right heights, trim work completed. Counter top goes in Monday along with center tower. Plumbing fixtures awaiting install, then painting of walls. This has taken longer than we figured but the end result will make it worth while. Very user friendly as we both age

Txdon prayers for your mom
