Good Morning! 54F @ 9:20AM. Showers early, becoming a steady rain for the afternoon. Windy. High around 50F. Winds SSE at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a half an inch. Significant flooding is expected.
Late reporting in; sure took a long time to catch up with you guys! Don was on a cruise and I didn't even miss him, Larro came and went, Eric is busy lambing, the Eastern folks are digging out after another snowstorm, Drew reforested most of the state, David's almost ready to harvest all the sun in Hawaii to fill his new batteries, and the usual projects are being successfully conquered. All this and I didn't even have to lift a finger!
I did notice the TBN outage, but wasn't sure if it was lousy Internet, my tiny phone, or what. Didn't seem to slow the posts on TBN down much though.
Thanks for asking, very slowly recovering, wife thinks I'm playing it up I think, but I was a sick puppy.
Glad you're through the worst Randy. Milk that down time as long as you can. You've earned it!
Eric, I think you've got the slope backwards on crazy laws. They almost always start in Jolly ol' England and run down hill to Kalifornia. Been that way since the days of English common law, and just keeps gittin' worse!
Looking out the window at the lake this morning it seems they're serious about keeping the level 50' below the top. I bet someone really got called on the carpet for letting it go over that right in the middle of our rainy season, but now starts the tug'o'war between the big water users and the safetycrats at the dam to let the thing fill all the way up just as summer starts. Wonder who will win?
Our congress critter is making a strong pitch for going after all the neglected infrastructure projects and using the Oroville Dam as a battering ram. Wonder how they missed all that work when the previous administration was busy flushing "shovel ready" jobs out of the woodwork?
The hummingbirds are having a heck of a time with the feeders as they swing in the wind this morning. And the new hanger wire I put on one last week is almost long enough to let it bang into the glass sliding door, bad news for both it and the hummers as it swings an even bigger arc than the other ones.
Today's a catch up and unpack day, not much else planned except maybe a nap.
