Dusting of snow, got down to 31°, mostly over now, headed to upper 30's or so, 50's for a couple of days after that.
Of my 4 buckets, 2 had tooth bars, makes all the difference breaking new ground! It takes tour edge away, but another part of the bucket can be used for most theings, and the teeth are great for taking down small saplings and such.

Pour first cup of coffee. 54° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 73° with lots of sun. All the Apple hardware it up and running. Picked the oranges. Picked 2 bushels and barely made a dent in the 2 trees. May pick some more today. But first some patio time to enjoy the warm weather. Forecast calls for 70° temperatures for as far out as can be forecast.
RNG, I have one of them tooth bars. Weighs 116 lbs and cost more than double what I paid in 2000. I works good in cleaning up shrub. But nothing like Don's grapple.
Randy, A little snow will not hurt you. I get to enjoy it here in AZ. About 25 miles away on top of mountains.
Good Morning All.

I've left the plains in 50° weather and gone up to Flagstaff where it was snowing.

18 here, and not much sun. Wife is a cancer survivor, and is going for her yearly checkup with the cancer doc. So far she has been clear, so I expect she will be ok. Not much planned for today, just the usual chores. I think our cats want me to start up the woodstove. Probably a good idea....

Be safe guys.

The little village of Wrenbury is only a few miles down the road from here. I actually live in a converted pig building (not quite the castle of Drew's fertile imagination !), but do consider myself very fortunate to have come to live in Shropshire. For those that enjoy slow travel, there can be no better way to take in the scenery than from a canal boat.

Did your travels along the Shropshire Union take you over to Wales on the Pontcysyllte aqueduct ? For others who probably have not heard of it, this is one of the finest pieces of engineering of the era and must still be one of the scariest boat trips in the world.

YES !!!
We DID go over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct..... a VERY interesting/beautiful experience.
The canal boat experience is TOTALLY relaxing!
We tied alongside a wall each evening, and walked to a local pub for dinner.
Cranked our own bridges, and opened/closed our own locks.
Hard to describe to others how fantastic the experience really is.

21°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 54° today.

Picked up some more things for the house this weekend. A couple of new bypass doors for upstairs closets, and an accordion door for the little closet at the bottom of the stairs. Stopped at a flooring place and she found a vinyl pattern she likes for the bathroom, laundry room, new sunroom, and eventually the basement. We also looked at a couple of furniture stores for new bedroom furniture. Ended up ordering a pair of (his and hers) gentleman's cabinets, and matching 2-drawer nightstands. Amish made, all in oak. Spent way more than we were expecting, but looks like really nice stuff.

Good Morning! 46F @ 7:45AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High 59F. Winds light and variable.

Not sure how a toothed bar would work on the 4-in-1 bucket that's on there now, but it would be something to keep in mind for a new tractor if the opportunity comes up in the future...

Better to pay a bit more up front than regret a purchase for a life time, PJ.

Managed to hook up the CAT6 into the pumphouse, and now both cameras there are streaming video quite nicely. A bit disappointed that the coverage from the new WiFi antenna I added there didn't extend around to the back of the house, but since it's line-of-site, that would mean it would have to go through the house. So maybe another antenna is called for?

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Spectacular view. You can do a similar trip in Canada on the Trent Severn Waterway. But no Aqueducts that I know of. Rent a house boat for the trip.

Flagstaff got almost 4' of snow last week. Schools closed most of the week.

Spent the night in Flagstaff once, misunderstood the radio, thought it was 9 when he'd said 5, half asleep I took the wrong road and went north, finally got back to I40 after a circuitous route through Indian territory, at Winslow. A much longer story, involving Indians, and the Eagles, but I'll spare you. :D

Suns coming out, so the pictures are slowly fading away. Here is my grain elevator that I use for moving hay in the summer time. My peach trees are on the right.

Have a great day, this was not anticipated as I did not listen to the weather last night.

We spent a week at the Grand Canyon about 6 years ago, Randy. Stayed in Flagstaff and drove up to the Canyon. We became quite fond of that area. Cameron Trading Post is a must-stop place, out in the Painted Desert. And yes, we did the Winslow thing as well (while we were nearby for Meteor Crater).

Wife said another truck rolled down the road. I think 2 in the same month is a record.

That aquaduct is amazing.

Snow flurries, little more than flurries at times.

That was our thinking, too, RNG. Buy quality, and not have to replace it in a few years. Still, there was considerable sticker shock, even for custom work.
