I like water but I don't like heights, and never thought I'd be on the water and so far above ground level; that pic gives me vertigo. Safety railings?
40 degrees much cooler day, but no snow this far East, all stayed in Western NC and VA. And of course there is a special weather funnel that brings things in quite nicely to the Eastern Shore, where Toppop looks out at his beloved snow. Randy, are you missing your tractor?
Today should get up into high 40's with a lot of wind today and tomorrow, but warming up a little more tomorrow. All good, my big helper comes tomorrow and I have to lay out those big Tposts for him to drive in. Going to TSC this morning for a post driver. I know these heavy duty posts are made to hold metal or plastic fencing, that's what all those little nubbies do...thanks guys, but I'm likely to start with just a line of electric fence hooked up to a solar panel. More frankly to tell my neighboring farmer to stay ten feet off my line like I asked last time and got ignored.
That line of white topped steel posts isn't going to get ignored. Fences really do make good neighbors. At times... Probably should get another five posts while I'm at TSC. Once I measure them today and put down red pin flags, I may find I need more than five. This is only going in once I hope so I want to do it properly.
The prior owner of my place used to lay out fencing with his deer rifle and scope. He would sight down the line and a helper would put the posts in place. Not a bad idea. The far post is pretty hard to see.
